Truncating The Package Buffer After Each Table Copy

I have a SSIS package that I run from dtexec command prompt in parallel. they run completely isolated.
Sometime when I push 3 instance of the packege at the same time, one of the instances will fail.
I have implemented detail Log on the package to see exactly where it's going wrong.
to brife you on what the package does, I can say in nutsheel that it does copy tables between servers.
due to the nature of the problem, the point in failer can is completely random.
if I run just one instance it will work fine (always). if it is more than one that there is a chance that it might fail. (but there is agood chance that they will run successfully).
my guess is, as this packages share resources (CPU,Mempry and disk I/O) sometimes is there is anyshortage on of the packages can fail.
is there anyway to specify how log for example a sql object transfer task will wait before raise and error message.
ALSO is there a way to truncate the memory bufferafter each table copy as it seems like when it is loops for differnet tables they data copy content get's piled up in memory and it get's truncated only when the whole instance is finished not after each table copy
What is the best way to delete ALL data in a table without the transaction log filling up? I do not need to log the deletions.Truncate Table ReportSearchRecordSets with NO_LOG?Delete * from table with NO_LOG?Thanks SQL Server 2005 newbie
I encountered the following error while attempting to preview an RDL report I was developing in VS2010 using SSDT:"The size necessary to buffer the XML content exceeded the buffer quota"
We have a set of reports with same header section in all the reports. So while developing a new report i used to copy that header section to the new report with same dataset names (without any change) , but while rendering the report it is throwing error " The size necessary to buffer the XML content exceeded the buffer quota".
I have a master package that executes a series of sub packages run from a SQL Agent job. One of those sub packages has been stable for a week, running at least once per day, but it just failed despite having been run once already today with the same set of input data.
There were a series of errors showing in the event log for the Execute Package Task starting with "Buffer Type 15 had a size of 0 bytes.", then "The buffer manager failed to create a new buffer type.", then "The Data Flow task cannot register a buffer type. The type had 32 columns and was for execution tree 3.", then "The layout failed validation." and finally "Error 0xC0012050 while loading package file "C:[Package].dtsx". Package failed validation from the ExecutePackage task. The package cannot run.".
SQLIS.com reports the constant for the error code as DTS_E_REMOTEPACKAGEVALIDATION ( http://wiki.sqlis.com/default.aspx/SQLISWiki/0xC0012050.html ).
I then ran the package on my dev machine in BIDS and it worked fine, so I re-ran the job on the server and this time that package executed ok, but another one fell over but did not put anything in the event log.
I have a table with no primary key and i just want to see all the duplicate entries on the basis of two columns. Can anyone suggest me how should i go about it.
Can anyone provide me the syntax for the same? I have only 1 table say ISSR_TBL and two columns using which i want to delete the duplicate ones. i.e. MIN and MAX.
I'm experiencing a completely random warning from any given row count component within any given data flow task. It occurs sporadically. Whilst distracting, I don't see any adverse effects to the data after the packages complete. Can someone weigh in on this warning and let me know if it is indeed benign or what I maybe able to do to fix it?
Here's the warning:
"A call to the ProcessInput method for input 75997 on component "CNT Rows sent for STG table" (75995) unexpectedly kept a reference to the buffer it was passed. The refcount on that buffer was 4 before the call, and 5 after the call returned."
The scenario: 9 db tables populated by 9 Excel Import Files via DTS. Will I need to create a DTS package for each import? Columns are identical in all 9 - the only thing different is the destination table name and source file name.
I've had to map over 80 columns using DTS and don't want to do it for each instance!
I have SQL 2000 running on Windows 2000 server. I have created a DTS Package, which is running fine. Now I want to transfer/restore/copy this DTS Package to another SQL 2000 server(not an instance). How do I establish this?. Can anybody guide me?.
The following dbo.Tables of Northwind.mdf in my .SQLEXPRESS (SQL Server Management Studio Express) are missing: dbo.Categories dbo.CustomerCustomerDemo dbo.CustomerDemographics dbo.Customers dbo.Employees dbo.EmployeeTerritories dbo.Order Details dbo.Orders dbo.Products dbo.Regions dbo.Shippers dbo.Suppliers dbo.Territories.
But, I have these dbo.Tables in a different Database "xyzDatabase". How can I copy each of these dbo.Tables to the another blank dbo.Table of Northwind Database?
I right clicked on the dbo.Categories and I saw the following thing: dbo.Categories New Table... Modify Open Table Script Table as |> CREATYE To |> DROP To |> SELECT To |> INSERT To |> New Query Editor Window File.... Clipboard UPDATE To |> DELETE to |> From the above observation,I think it is possible to copy the dbo.Table from the one Database to the Northwind Database that needs to be repaired. Please help and advise me how to do this task or tell me where I can find the Microsoft document that gives the details of this X-copy thing.

P. S. I am using VB 2005 Express to create a project to learn "Calling Stored Procedures with ADO.NET" (see Paul Kimmel's article in http://www.developer.com/db/article.php/3438221) that needs the dbo.Tables of Northwind Database and my Northwind Database has been screwed up for quite a while and needs a big repair.
Is it possible to automatically or programatically transfer or copy a DTS package from one server to another? If so, could anyone out here give some pointers on how?
Is there a way to strip out the annotations from a dtsx package. I'm looking at quite a few and would like to automaticly pull those out and store them somewhere in either a table or a text file.
Is this possible or am I going to have to hand copy them out?
I am new to sql server and the database concepts and just started learning. I want to copy a database and local package from a old sql server to a new server. can anybody guide me with the steps? I am very new to this field so if you could give me detailed steps i would very much appreciate it.
Here is my problem: I'm trying to copy a few tables from an ODBC database located on a PC on my LAN to a SQL Server on a remote server.
To do this I have created a DTS package on the SQL Server which runs smoothly, copying the data as it should, but only as long as it copies the data from the ODBC database on my own computer where I have Enterprise Manager installed. The moment I try to copy data from another PC in the network where Enterprise Manager is not used to execute the DTS package the task fails to run.
I'm quite at a loss here and would very much appreciate a notch in the right direction. Perhabs some source or book which I may read to solve the problem.
Trying to build a deployment package. I have a number of dtsx in a project that share a connection config file. When I build, the error states: 'Could not copy file "whatever.dtsconfig" to the deployment utility output directory. ... The file already exists'
I'm trying to migrate a SQL 2000 database to SQL 2005. I'm using the Copy Database Wizard and can copy the database using the detach and attach method, but I would rather use the SQL Management Object method. I get the following error when trying to use this method:

The database is created successfully but the data is not transfered. Also, the logins are created on the new server successfully. Has anyone seen this error or have any ideas on how to solve this problem? I would greatly appreciate any help!
On my workstation the option is there, but on a couple other workstations that option is not available from the file menu. I tested doing the exact same thing and the option just isn't there. Anyone have any idea's?
The scenario is as follows: I have a source with many rows. Each row has a column called max_qty_value. I need to perform a calculation using another column called qty. This calculation is something similar to dividing qty/(ceiling) max_qty_value. Once I have that number I need to write an additional duplicate row for each value from the prior calculation performed. For example, 15/4 = 4. I need to write 4 rows to the same target table as in line information for a purchase order.
The multicast transform appears to only support fixed and/or predetermined outputs. How do I design this logic in SSIS to write out dynamic number of rows to a target table.
I create a new SSIS package, drag in an Execute DTS 2000 Package Task, select and embed a DTS package which consists only one one task (as above), and then change the source & destination details (svr + user/pwd). Then when I go to the Copy tab, I get the following error when I hit Select Objects, to view the objects which the embedded DTS package should copy:
SQL-DMO error 21776: general error.
On further inspection, none of the objects selected for copy within the atomic/original DTS package, remain selected for copy within the embedded DTS package.
I have googled to search for an answer to this one, but to no avail. Any ideas would be greatly welcomed.
I found a possible bug. If I open/create a new Integration Services Project and then try to save a copy of the package to SQL Server I found that for the option to "save Copy of Package As..." is only available if I am in the package itself. If I click (highlight) on the package in the Solution explorer and then click on the File tab, the "save Copy of Package As..." option is not available.
I notice when I copy an SSIS package 'A' to a new package 'B', the new package 'B' will generate a "login failed for user" message in the data flow components. To copy I "save copy of Package 'A' as."
Some config info:
Package ProtectionLevel = EncryptSensitiveWithPassword Connections are Data Sources Connection strings with password are stored using PackageConfigurations to an SQLServer table. I've verified Package 'A' is in fact using the config table (e.g. it is not using a password or user stored in the package) Data connectios are all SQLServer Native OLE DB Client The account is an SQLServer account (not integrated security)
The original Package 'A' works flawlessly and I get success when I test the connections in Package 'B'.
But executing package 'B' I get: The error message I get is: [Connection manager "MyConnection"] Error: An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E4D. An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft SQL Native Client" Hresult: 0x80040E4D Description: "Login failed for user 'dwuser'.".
Does anyone know why this would occur and/or how to work around it? I saw another thread where a potential workaround is to create a new data flow task and copy all the data flow components to that task. That won't work well for us because the data flow is moderately complex and when you copy and paste it, SSIS completely re-orders the layout.
This is a typical data warehouse ETL setup where there is a master package that executes child packages (e.g. 'A', and 'B' mentioned above) that each perform the ETL for a specific dimension or fact table.
I am trying to copy a database from our company's external SQL Server(production) to our local SQL Server(development). The Copy Database wizard fails on the step "Execute SQL Server Agent Job". Following is the error in the log file.. Please advise

Hi allI have two tables in SqlServer with Exactly Same Structure,I want to Copy all Records fromone of them to another one.I came across to "Insert....select..." statement But i have two problem 1) I don't know any thing about Columns name!!! i just know they have same structure and as far as i know , "Insert...select..." need the Column list to operate correctly, am i right? 2) these two table have One Prinary Key column with IDENTITY feature. Hi i have set up two very simple tables, I want a user to be able to create a basic account ( data stored in User_Profile table with Id set as the Primery Key as Identity) I want the user to be able to be able to return to their account at a later date and then post multiple reviews of different bands they have seen at a later date. I kept the tables in my example very simple so I could get my head around the concept, but generally, I want to connect the Id (PK) value in User_Profile table to the User_Id filed in the User_Review table, so every review that user writes, will be connected directly to their Id.
Any help you could give would be fantastic a i have no idea where to start!!!

Hi.I have a multiplier that multiplies 2 floating point numbers with 7bits exponent and 10 bits mantissa.so its output has 7 bits exponentand 20 bits mantissa.now its output must return to its input in order to compute anothermultiplication.on the other hand its output must be truncated to 10bits. how can I do this? please help me.thanks.
