Let's say I have an rdlc report for customers, and it has three sections with subreports:
CUSTOMER_INFO (name, phone, e-mail)
ITEMS
OBSERVATIONS
As the page only has 21cm and the report grows horizontally, I need to repeat the WHOLE report with all of its sections after every 4 customers. So if I have 5 customers, there would be three pages(let's say every subreport takes 1 page) for the first four customers, and then another three pages(with every section once again) just for one customer.
Is it possible? It doesn't seem somehing out of the ordinary, but I can't figure how to make it work. Everytime there is more than 4 customers, the report breaks its layout trying to accommodate the records in a new table below the tables of each subreport.
The expected result would be to bring all of exceeding data to new pages.

I can't figure out how to get recently used Excel 2007 (new file formats) documents to show up in the Windows XP Professional (sp2) Start Menu's Recent Documents List. I checked the Internet, the knowledgebase, many parts of the MS web site, etc. for an answer but can't find one.
Are Excel 2007 documents supposed to show up in the XP Start Menu's Recent Document List? Is this a bug or do I have to do some sort of configuration to make it do so? If it's a bug, when will a fix be available?
Are these new Excel 2007 files filtered out like EXE files are which will not appear in the Recent Document List?
The Excel 2007 file types are listed in the Registry.

I need to allow the user to define fieldnames for values which then I will alter existing tables with that FieldName that they assign.
I know this is a nightmare but it is the contraint I am working under.

After finally overcoming a number of hurdles with LisaNicholls help, I've got one hurdle left that I can't seem to get around. A system I'm updating currently outputs attendance registers in HTML which is built using some complex ASP.NET code. To make this more manageable, I decided to try and handle this output in Reporting Services.
Whilst the output looks fairly inocious and simple, in theory it's been a nightmare to implement. Because it's inteded for print output, my intention was to output the report straight to PDF, however I'm encountering an issue trying to get some of the data to "repeat" on each of the PDF pages.
If you look at the following image; http://mparter.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/images/register_page.png, you'll see 4 main areas.
The problem areas are the red, green and blue ones.
The unmarked bottom section is a matrix which pages fine on PDF.
The TEXBOXES in the red area can possibly be worked-around by using report parameters.
The TABLES in the blue and green areas are the main problem. I can't include them in a report header workaround because there could be multiple rows per table
So, back to my question, how do I get the three marked coloured areas to repeat on each "page" of the PDF?

I followed an article which was recently published by Jeff Prosise in his "Wicked Code" column in MSDN magazine and I was able to make it work.My problem is that I do not know how to refresh the menu. If I add new record in the sitemap table what needs to happen to refresh the menu.

Is it possible in SQL Reporting 2005 to have dropdown menu(eg..on mouseover list of static menu appears from which i can navigate to other rdl files while passing all parameters) ..
I am now starting to create actual database projects in SSMS but the problem is that when I go to create add a new item by right-clicking on the project all i get is
Existing Item
New Connection
New Query
So, can anyone tell me how do I get the 'Add New Item' menu item to appear so I don't have do the riduculous way of creating a new query, then open another non-project script item from template explorer, then copy the contents from latter to former and then close the superfluous non-project script item.
This may get brought up again and again, but I don't know how to deal with it by heart yet... in fact I mean to say, I don't know how to deal with it.

In reporting services i have a table and below which i have a chart. The table has lot of values so the report spans multiple pages. I have set page breaks such that the table displays only 10 records. After all the values have been displayed in the last page the chart is displayed. I want the chart to display in each and every page of the report. It is the same chart that i want to display. How do i do this?

I installed SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition and SQL Server Management Studio Express. I am trying to set up merge replication. When I right-click the Replication folder in Object Explorer, the Configure Distribution menu item is not there. Also missing is the New - Publication menu item. All I can do is add New Subscriptions. I am logged in as admin with full priveledges. Am I missing something? Thanks!

And for every second there is addition in the messages.
Why is it happening? Can anyone tell me?

I'm packaging SQL 2005 Express as part of the installer for a custom program. The installer works fine and everything runs fine, but I don't want users to see the sql server > configuration tools start menu group and start playing around with settings.
Is there a command line option to not create the start menu group that anyone knows about, or another way to have the installer not create the icons?

Is anyone else having an issue with SSRS menus not being able to be clicked on?
When I roll the mouse over the menu item, it highlights, but when I click, nothing happens.
It affects the top menu items, and any right click menu.
This is an intermittent problem, but it does happen daily. I have to shut down VS to fix.

I have a multivalued drop down menu that isn't wide enough to display the entire label. It only displays about half of the label. The text it is trying to display should look like "Global Zone 1 - Global Zone 2 - Global Zone 3 - Global Zone 4", and the only visible text is "Global Zone 1 - Global Zone2". It does have a scroll bar at the bottom, but it is ridiculous.
When I set it to not be multivalued, the drop down menu grows to the size of my label. The menu has plenty of space to grow, it is only taking up a very small amount of the screen.
Is there any way to correct this issue?

When using SQL Server Management Studio Express I get multiples of all the standard Windows menu items as well as in the dropdowns. I have also experienced this in the Visual Basic 2005 Exprerss edition IDE. What is causing this?

1.For MonthIDs 309 & 307, I would need to add same combinations to 4 prior months (for 309, I would need the 309 row as 308, 307, 306, 305 and for 307, I would need to add 306, 305, 304, 303).
2.From the snapshot, Green rows are added for 309 MonthID and Orange rows are added for 307.
3.While we are adding 309 row to prior to 4 months, if any prior month has different combination than 309, that same combination need to be repeated for prior months.

Hello, I€™m creating a cube with Analysis services 2000 and SQLServer 2000 that has the following structure:
The fact table has a primary key and some measures:
Fact_Table
PKFact (the primary key)
Measure 1
Measure 2
And I have some dimensions, but I€™ll put here the one of interest, this dimension has a foreign key to the fact_table, this is because it is really a €œdetail€? of the fact table, the interesting thing here is that this dimension not only has a foreign key to the fact_table, but also is a parent-child dimension:
Dimension_Table
FKFact (the foreign key to the €œPKFact€? field of the fact table)
PKId (The id of the field for the parent-child relationship)
FKParentId (the foreign key to this same table, this is, the parent of the field)
TheLevel (the data€¦)
So, if I create the cube without the Dimension_Table (of course, I have more dimensions), the cube shows the data correctly, but when I include this dimension, the data of the fact_table starts to be repeated once for each row in the dimension table (once for each row that has the relation PKFact €“ FKFact of course), Somebody knows how I can avoid this data being repeated? I€™ve tried a lot of things but none works.. Please help!!
