Is There A System Table With Timestamp Info Or DTS Job Info?
May 7, 2007I want to be able to see when records have been added to a table. The issue is we have a DTS job scheduled to run every night. The developer who wrote it password protected it and doesn't work here anymore. I want to add a step to this series of DTS jobs and want to run it just prior to his job. Is there a way to see when the records are being added or when this job is being run? Thanks again, you guys are the best.

Sep 12, 2005I am trying to specify a SELECT statement to only capture yesterdays data.
The best i can come up with is
SELECT *
from applytracking
where hitDate = (CAST(STR(MONTH(@Date))+'/'+STR(-1)+'/'+STR(YEAR(@Date)) AS DateTime))
But its not right, can anyone set me on the right path?

Only Data For Yesterday
Sep 10, 2007How do i get only the data for the last date in the query. I just want the most current date. Which is yesterdays information. But on monday, its fridays information. So is there a code for getting the most Current Data. If not whats the code for getting the last business day such as friday for today. But for tommorow it will be monday. My time_log field has the date converted into mm-dd-yyyy. Any help?

Can't Run Query Today That Ran Yesterday
Nov 15, 2007I converted an MS Access db to SQL Server 2005 Express yesterday. I used FullConvert Enterprise for the conversion and it worked great. I ran several queries and saved them, and they ran fine. Today, running the same queries, I get this error message:
Msg 208, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Invalid object name 'tblTXMup'
I googled the message and found someone who had a similar problem and their answer was they were not the dbo. I checked the new database and it was owned by sa so I logged in as sa and got the same error.
Can anyone set me straight so I can get into this db?

Nov 15, 2007I converted an Access db to SQL Server 2005 Express using FullConvert Enterprise and the conversion went well. I ran a few queries. When I logged in today and run the same exact query (saved it) I get this error:

The fact
I'm working on a simple APP where I store the date of a transaction. I use in my Stored Procedure the getdate() as the default (and untouchable) value for the transaction date
The problem:
These transactions are made all day long and there are transctions made on the morning and afternoon. Now, when I make a report of the transactions for one specific range of days, all the transactions made in the morning of the start date are ignored completely.
Say I have these transactions

if I make a cast as integer I get these results:

Why are the Morning Transactions from the start date ignored (or interpreted as part of previous day transactions) ?
SQL Server 2008 :: Load Data For Yesterday And Specific Date

And if we give any specific date like '2015-05-10', It should load for that date. How can we achieve this dynamically (using package configuration)? I'd like to add a yesterday dimension member to a new dimension, like a "Time Utility" dimension, that references the second last day of non empty data in a cube.
At the moment, I'm doing this:

2)How come the Yesterday member is not returned by the .members function?

I'm wondering whether this one shows yesterday data or last 24 hours data?

I've inherited the administration of two SQL Servers one 7.0 and the other 2000. We are looking into upgrading to 2005 so I'm gathering all the info I can on the DBs and applications using them.
Now, how can I check if a DB is currently in use? Is there a way to find out when a DB was last accessed?
By the way, I've never done DB administration so you can figure out how desperate I'm getting.

Oct 1, 2007Well i need to document what tables i have in my stored procedures. Im really new to sql as well. And the problem is if i try code i have or sp_depends for instance it will only tell me the tables that are in that DB so if I have multiple tables from different DB's they are left out. I was told that sp_MSForEachDb for go through each DB and I could try it that way. Any help or example code dumbed down for me would be awesome. This was posted in a previous thread but i though this would be a better explanation

I'm using a SQL selection to fill a DataGrid. One of the fields I have is called diagnosis. This field in the database can contain multiple diagnosis. But I use a set of characters to divide each diagnosis.

Exception_Access_Violation Info
Sep 15, 1998To all:
I have installed a new Compaq 7000 with NT4.0 sp3 and Sql Server 6.5 sp4 into production about two weeks ago.
Everything went fine until yesterday. Around noon I received 2 Exception_Access_Violation about a second apart
with two differend spids. About 20 mins later I got the Out of connections message and sql server stopped
reponding. I Could not stop sql server and had to reboot the server. I have configured the connections at 600
and generally we average a little over 400. Everything seems to be running fine now but I would like to get some
information from all the great minds out there!
What exectly is Exception_Access_Violation? Can I figure out what caused it or can I debug it? Do you think that the
EAV caused the out of connections error? Any help, insight would help greatly!

Jan 11, 2005I want to check who access the database in the sql server. When i go to current activity then process info. I found not all the users who access the database are displayed. Even though i refresh it. It didn't show up. But i am sure some user was accessing the database. Anybody know why, how can i avoid it. Thanks.
