View 3 RepliesI have opened the Paint program add least 100 times in the past two days. It has never been added to the Most Used area of the Start Menu. What do I need to do to get Paint to show in Most Used on the Start Menu?
View 1 RepliesI wanted to add some programs to the top of the left side of the start menu (free space on the screenshoot). I have read about the "Pin to Start List" if you rightclick while holding shift. But this seems not to be working anymore!?!?! Is there another possibility to customize this list or to re-add the function? I don't want to use "recently added apps" or something like that ...
View 9 RepliesHow do a get a program that I use quite often to get on the "Most Used Programs List". I realize that I probably have to use it more for it to appear on the list. But I want to know if I can get it there even though the program is not used as often as the others.
View 2 RepliesThe mostly used list is not showing anything at all. I checked in settings and it is marked to show most recently used.
View 5 RepliesThe situation is I can't add any item to the "start list', which is the list on the left of the start icons. As far as I've read, it's supposed to be as easy as dragging an icon, but it can't be done I get an "x" when I reach the destination at the left.Strange also, is that in my context menu there is no option named "start list", which posters point as an option to add a program icon to the list. Also, right clicking on an item on start list does not show me the "remove from this list option".
View 1 RepliesWhen I click one of the shortcuts in the start menu, I am informed that windows cannot find the specified location.
When I try to navigate to the location, windows wont let me select it. Windows is looking for a file to navigate to when I get that prompt but, I need to specify a folder to get the shortcut I want. I tried to use a shortcut as well but, when I select, it opens the file location and cant be used as a specified file from what I can tell.
I accidentally remove all in the list by clicking "Don't Show in the List" all apps is now not listed to the most used app list. How can i undo it? I try to turn it off and on on the settings "Show most used app list" option but does not undo it. 100%x
Note: The Cmd, VLC Player , Control Panel & Sway are my recent app i used after i do it.
Is there a way to make all apps list instead of groups (0-9, A, B, etc.)?
When wif win7 i created my own folders in all apps menu.
I can place a new folder or custom shortcut in the correct start menu location (current user or all users) but it will not appear in the All apps list. If I go to the folder or shortcut and right-click Pin to Start it will appear as a tile in the start menu, but still will not show up in the All apps list. I think this behavior started with Version 1511 since it was working for me in the previous version.
View 9 RepliesI found the method to add items to the start list, but its missing certain things, for instance the control panel and the shell: games folder. I want to be able to add those options to the start list and also make them expanded lists so I dont have to open a folder and then navigate to the option I want. How to do that?
View 2 RepliesSo i changed my language from Norwegian to English just to try Cortana, and then i switched back again. But then i noticed that the "Most used" list of apps in the start menu was gone. Any one else who have experienced this? It has been empty for 24 hours now.
View 3 RepliesI've only just upgraded to windows 10, so still getting to grips. I have the recent items option enabled in both the quick access panel and jump lists, but they're appearing in neither.
View 5 RepliesIs it possible to add this kind of Control Panel shortcut (like in screenshot below), with subfolder/subitem list, to windows 10, without installing Classic Shell or similar programs?
View 6 RepliesI'm not talking about recent files in Explorer, but on the Start menu.
View 1 RepliesI have a second hdd installed on my desktop that has all my documents etc.My C drive is for the O/S only.
My problem is when I select the search on the taskbar it only searches the C drive how will I set it to search the other internal drive??.Windows 10.
Ever since installing windows 10, any selections that I make (like selecting text or files in explorer, etc..) can barely be seen. This is especially frustrating when making selections because the currently selected item(s) look like they are not selected just like all the rest.
Is there any way to make the current selection stand out like it did back in Windows 7?
I have already tried changing hue, contrast, gamma, etc in the Nvidia control panel and I have the latest graphics drivers.

View 3 RepliesI'm not sure of the name of this, but when you right click on a program's 'listing' in the taskbar ('Chrome', or a 'This PC' of Explorer) you get a menu (Close window, pin to taskbar etc) - on W7 this was near instant. On W10 on the same machine it takes maybe a second to appear.
View 4 RepliesI did a weird drag with my touchpad and now my sub menu text are like double spaced.
View 7 RepliesSince upgrading to Win10 a couple of days ago all the active programs on the task bar would not restore/maximize.
When I click on an open program icon on the task-bar, the icon reacts as if the selected program was maximizing but my screen does not change and stays stuck on the previous opened window. Alt+Tab doesn't work either.
I thought it could be related to my GPU and reinstalled it but it did not fix the issue.
I have an empty folder on my computer that I wan't to delete but when I click it it says "Item Not Found" and it tell me I can't delete it.

View 1 RepliesI just got my new PC with Windows 10 and I have 2 problems.
Firstly any item I click on is not highlighted with a color and it hard to tell what is selected.
Secondly whenever I restart my PC after logging in there is a black screen that appears after a few seconds and then disappears.
It goes away but it's a bit worrying and I don't know what's causing it.
