Just installed Win10 yesterday, and taking a first look at the Calendar app. Unless I have overlooked something, this app has a flaw that makes it almost not worth using.
I'm using the app to display my Google Calendar events, a month at a time. In many cases, I have enough events scheduled for a single day that they won't all fit in the cell in Month View. Is there really no way to display all the events for a given date (including the ones that don't fit) in Month View? (For example, in the Calendar app on my phone, it is usually the case that not all the events for a given date show in the grid, but tapping the date in question displays a pop-up that shows them all). This app just runs them off the bottom of the cell. It doesn't even alert you to the fact that there are additional events for that date that it isn't displaying!
I've been experiencing a problem with the Windows 10 Calendar app - it shows duplicate events. I'm using a Microsoft account (Outlook.com) and have it configured on the computer. Mail app Works ok and syncs. Calendar App shows duplicate events. If I access the same calendar on Outlook.com the calendar shows OK with no duplicates. On another computer with the same Setup the calendar does not show duplicates, Works as expected so this seems a problem confined to this one computer only.
This Windows 10 installation is about a month old (installed from scratch - no upgrade from 8) and has all published MS updates instaled and also all app updates. Have tried to uninstall the Calendar app, rebooted, reinstall the app, but duplicates persist.
I just started trying out the new Windows 10 mail and calendar app. I synced it to my google account and I can see events on the calendar. However, when I try and create future events (specifically after 1/24/2016) they disappear after 2 seconds. I do see them on my google calendar afterwards but why are they not staying on my windows calendar and disappearing?

I'm at halt with this feature in Win10. I add 2 events from Cortana, which I want to Recur daily, BUT now I want to make some adjustments to one and delete one completely,
I deleted from Cortana, but when I saw in Calendar, I saw those events, I felt ok ...lets delete events from Calendar itself as its a/w my outlook ID.
But I am completely confused with finding how to delete or make changes in the app, and to my surprise it didnt sync with my ''CALENDAR in web''.
My Windows 10 Calendar app won't show any events older that 3 or 4 weeks. It is synced with Outlook and a Gmail account. Those events do show on my phone and if I go to the individual websites.
I upgraded from Win7 to Win 10 and am not able to view the new clock/calendar.Tried the "UseWin32TrayClockExperience" hack but it still does not work with the entry set at "0". If I edit the entry to "1", I do see the win7 old clock. Just not able to get the Win 10 clock/calendar working.
I've recently updated from windows 7 to 10. I went to set up my dual monitors (I have 1 to my left) for some reason the monitor to my lefts identity is 3 center is Number 2. I can't seem to change this to 1 and 2
Next issue I can open a file and I can see it in my task-bar on the bottom but it won't open up on either monitor (# 2 or 3) It appears to be opened perhaps on a monitor to my right that does not exist (# 1 perhaps) I can slide some files over to my left (#3) and every now and then a file from my task-bar opens on my main monitor.
Say I have a desktop 1 with MS Word open. If I then open another desktop (desktop 2), and then open a word file from my hard drive on desktop 2, windows 10 will take me out of desktop 2, put be back on desktop 1, and then open the file I requested. I then have to open the desktop switcher, and manually drag the word document from desktop 1 to desktop 2.
Effectively, if I have a window of one application open in one desktop, and I then open the same application in a different desktop, windows will move me back to the original desktop and open the application there.
This is extremely annoying and occurs with all applications, is there any way to fix it?
Super annoying bug (or user error?) where whenever I create an event in Windows calendar, after hitting save it moves it one day forward.
So for example, if I create an event for 01/12/2015, it will isntead show up on the 31/11/2015. If I edit the event, it will show the 31/11/2015 instead. If I change it back to 01/12/2015 and hit save, it goes back to 31/11/2015.
It does this with any date, these dates are just an example.
When I try to add an account to the Mail, Calendar or People apps I get a "Something went wrong" error, code 0x80070422.
I have run sfc /scannow, DISM /cleanup-image etc, tried stopping and starting the credential manager and setting it to start automatically, but no luck.
I came across a fix for the TP that involved using powershell to remove the package and then reinstall it from the store, but when I run this it appears to complete correctly but the apps remain installed. I also tried removing them as per this and then reinstalling them, but the problem remains.
I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on a Sony VAIO laptop. I'm working through some issues but the one that is really annoying me is the inability to add any accounts to the Mail and Calendar apps. I have tried adding my Microsoft account as well as Exchange and other types of accounts. No matter what I do, I get the "Something went wrong" error message.
I installed windows 10 upgrading from Win 8.1 Pro. and some built in apps will not run. The apps won't run are:
Mail Calendar Calculator People Photos
The icons for these are greyed out. When I click on them, I see a window open and instantly close. I can sometimes get a message that says "application cannot load because it is still updating"
I have MS Office 2013 installed and Outlook works.
How can I fix this? I cannot find how to complete the "still updating".
I just installed the Windows 10 Preview on my Surface Pro 3 and immediately updated it to the 10130 build. Anytime that I try to open up the Mail and Calendar apps, both will pop up for 1 second and then immediately crash.
I have an OEM Gateway computer and I recently bought a new desktop on Black Friday. I want to revert my Gateway desktop back to Windows 7 and do a factory restart so I may sell it. However, when I try to download the iso from Microsoft, it tells me my key is an OEM one and to contact the manufacturer.
So I went to Gateways website and it says to press F8 during boot and do a bunch of stuff but pressing F8 when it says to does nothing and Windows 10 boots like normal.
I opened my picture library and double clicked to view photo, photo App opens and shuts immediately and then displays an error message. This happens with all photos/pictures I have tried to open!
How can I view my photos/pictures in Windows 10?
Just to clarify I sign in with a Local account, do I have to sign in with a Microsoft account to use the apps?
Following the November update (not necessarily caused by it) my Desktop calendar has become drastically corrupted. Among the symptoms are: it closes frequently, it will not let me edit or delete entries, it has replicated past entries in large numbers which I am not able to delete, most options / settings are unavailable ------ in short it is a useless mess.
I wanted to uninstall and re-install, something which often sorts a failing app out ---- but uninstall is not available. Except that it can be done (I have read) via CCleaner. Unfortunately, (a) it is displayed as Mail and Calendar, and I do not want to uninstall Mail (b) I do not know if I am able to uninstall Calendar, will I be able to re-install it?
I'm currently trying to set the mail app of W10 to read my Gmail mailbox but after configure, the app doesn't find any elements to show... How to configure a Gmail account into the mail app of W10 successfully ? Is there something special to do ?
And the second W10 app that doesn't work for me is the calendar one. I can't click on the "New event" button and the only thing i can do is navigate through the weeks/months.
I open calendar and click on the "+ New Event" button on the top left and... nothing happens. In fact, I can't do anything other than move the view around. What on earth am I doing wrong?
Manually checked store tonight and saw mail and calendar update waiting. In typical MS style it downloaded but did nothing on first attempt, I closed store, re opened and tried it again whereupon it completed. Normally this messes the app up for the other user accounts of the PC but on this occasion the app was still working fine for all users despite this. Still unimpressed with MS native app updates.
On the Calendar app it has started to finally show the weather, just like the one in outlook(dot)com now. I don't know if this is new and mine has just kicked in, but the setting for it has been in the apps options for sometime but no temps or suns & clouds showed....
