Installed Build 10565 yesterday and everything works great except Hearts. Event viewer indicated it might be a Java problem so I downloaded the latest Java but that hasn't worked.
View 3 RepliesAfter installing and enjoying Windows 10 for a few weeks, I am having problems with the Photo app. I was able to open it up with no problems and it showed me all my pictures but I few days ago, I opened it up and it quit after a few seconds. I kept open it with the same results: it opens , acts as if it is loading some pictures but it quits by itself after about 5-7 seconds.
I am providing with an error report from Windows 10.

So I upgraded to Windows 10 and I was using it and shut down my computer. Now my computer turns on but won't load anything. It shows the windows loading screen for about 5 seconds and then goes blank and sits that way till I turn it off and restart.

View 2 RepliesEvery time I open a java program (netbeans, mc) it crashes after about 3sec. The aplications works when I run java 32-bit but I can't run anything with more then 1,5Gb of ram and if I change to 64 (deleting 32-bit and installing 64-bit)the aplications just crashes after 3sec. I've tried running both java 7 and 8 but it still crashes. I believe it's a problem with windows 10 but I'm not sure...

I have Windows 10..Just recently I have found that when I open a folder on my desktop which opens in maximized mode, and then go ahead and click to restore the window to a smaller size, instead of doing so, the window restores to the width of the three buttons at the top (minimize, restore, close) and then the file explorer window crashes and freezes for a few seconds, my screen goes black for a few seconds, then I am returned to the desktop, where the window has closed.Is this a sign of hard drive corruption?

And the new People app and Store (Beta) opens but crashes after a few seconds...

View 2 RepliesSo, anytime I open the control panel i'm getting the error seen in the attached image. After getting this error the contol panel closes and all the desktop apps disappear for a few seconds as if the system has just been restarted.
View 1 RepliesI have set Windows Media Player as the default player for .mp3but have a problem that although WMP is on the start menu when I double clickon it or its shortcut it will just flicker and not load.I have tried different ways to play the .mp3 files by rightclicking on a file and open it but get an error message as shown below.How can I get WMP to load as it seems to be corrupted?
View 6 RepliesSince I've upgraded to Windows 10, iTunes keeps loading on startup. I looked in the task manager under Startup, and disabled iTunesHelper. I don't see any other apps listed under Startup that are associated with iTunes or any other apple software.
Am I missing something? It's a little annoying having iTunes loading on startup.
One of the casualties of my upgrade to Win 10 Home was my iTunes library. Basically, iTunes could no longer find my music, even though it hadn't moved. To cut a long story short, I ended up creating a new library and all was well - or so I thought. Since then, however, every time I boot my PC, iTunes loads at startup, and the curious thing is that there is no reference to the programme in any of the startup folders, nor in Task Managers Start Up list. I also use CCleaner, and that also shows that nothing apple related should be running at startup.
Clearly something is causing iTunes to run? I should add, there are no iPods connected to the PC, and iTunes helper is also disabled via CCleaner.
Why do programs like Paint and Photoshop take FOREVER to load? It's not like my computer slows down as they are loading either. My computer is running well without any issues, but this is still a problem. I was part of the Insider Program and I am up-to-date. Also, the Photos program can't edit any files because of their "file types." This happens to ALL file types.

When I open any of them (besides Edge), it shows the splash screen for a second, then it closes. I also tried the PowerShell command that people have been throwing around here and that didn't work, either.

Whenever I right-click a file anywhere on the Desktop, the File Explorer crashes briefly and then comes right back up. This does not happen anywhere else, only on the Desktop.
I tried going to "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/*/shellex/ContextMenuHandlers" with RegEdit and removing some of them, but to no avail.
So this started like last week where i get these small lags when my pc freezes for like 1-3 seconds. It can happen when i play games or just browsing. It happens probably like 2 times every hour. This is a problem for me because when i play csgo and im shooting towards someone and everything just lags and i die. It's a small problem but it is really frustrating. And just today while i was playing Arma 3 my pc completely froze and i had to restart it by holding down the button on the case.

This is a problem that has been plaguing me across years and several computers.Every hour or so, and it doesn't seem to matter what application I have open, Windows will become unresponsive for a few seconds. Then it will go away.
On this system I have 8 gb ram and I am running light applications. I have a new i-5 skylake processor and a good asus mobo. And a reputable SSD, too. I just installed windows 10 pro x64 a week ago. I have this problem even without third-party AV, as I found out after I uninstalled my AV.
I recently updated my HP to Windows 10. During setup after I logged in, I got the BSOD. I thought there was nothing wrong until I logged in and found out that I didn't have Start Menu access. About 10 seconds later, the BSOD came up again. Now every time I log in, about 10 to 30 seconds after login, I get the BSOD.
View 6 Repliesmy computer has been acting strange as of 2 days ago. I was initially just browsing the net and everything stopped loading. I thought my internet went out and I shut down my computer thinking nothing of it. I tried starting it up again later that day but it would freeze a few seconds after I log in.
The strange this is, it works for about 5-10 s then my pointer changes to that spinning blue wheel and everything becomes unresponsive. I can't click anything or use my keyboard, but I can still move the pointer. Here are some of the things I've tried:
Restart in safe mode (same type of crashing occurs, can move mouse but can't do anything else)Restart in safe mode with command prompt to run sfc /scannow. (initial attempt froze at 100%, hard rebooted and tried again but now it freezes at the file verification stage)"Reset this PC", ( froze at 8%)
I installed windows 10 in my laptop. But everytime i open it. It will show the desktop icons and all of my apps for few seconds then it will go blank. I cant do anything from my laptop. Its just plain black
View 6 RepliesWindows 10 installed beautifully and seems to run fast on my Toshiba laptop but the screen flashes every 30 seconds. When it flashes it looks like a small window opens and closes immediately. Any dialogue box open is reset, and there is disk activity. 2 tasks pop up to the top of the list in Task Manager: dwm.exe and explorer.exe. It happens all the time, whether there are any applications open or not.

View 1 RepliesBrought new CPU+motherboard. Decided to use windows 10. Getting BSODs all the time, every few seconds or minutes. Sometimes even while installation i getting CLOCK_WATCHDOG_FAILED. If i got lucky and windows successfully installed. It bsoding every few seconds with: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_FAILED, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, HAL_INITALIZATION_FAILED. Can't install any drivers. I tired to use win10,win8,win7-Clean install. Everywhere - same issues, same BSODs.
Hardware(Nothing overclocked):
CPU: AMD FX 9590 - CPU and Motherboard was tested in guarantee service via IDA64, SiSoft Sandra. No issues was found.
MB: ASRock Fatal1ty 970 Performance
GPU: GeForce GTX780 - Have 2 more similar cards. Tried with every of them. Same problem.
RAM: 8+8gb 1600mhz Dual-Channel mode. Tested via memtest 1day. No issues.
HDD: Have 6HDDs, all was tested. No bad sectors. SMART report also fine. Bsods happens on all of them.
PSU: Thermaltake 1200WTT, all voltages looks fine. Anyway i tried with hiPro 1000wtt - same issues.
BIOS have last version v1.20. Tried to reset CMOS. Running windows diagnostic tools gives nothing. When i trying to use windows cmd.exe and run SFC /SCANNOW it gives me BSOD in a few seconds. DISM gives me the same - bsod. Running SFC /scannow via windows DVD says everything fine.
I have a few more old amd FX cpu's. I can try to use them if can find the problem.

I'm using Windows 10 and I changed all of my When Computer Sleeps settings and my screen still goes black after about 30 seconds of inactivity. Not really sure why this happens because I changed all of the settings for the screen shutting off to never.
