tried updating AVG anti virus but update failed: update detect running installation. Complete that installation before starting update not installing or updating anything at the moment.

View 2 RepliesI am on windows 10 build number 10130(Installed it through an ISO file). I am unable to install any app from either store or store beta. The exact error message is "Something happened and this app couldn't be installed. Please try again. Error code: 0x8007000b". I tried reinstalling the OS, Formatting the sd card and replacing the sd card but the problem persists.
The default location for app install is set to sd card and when I change it back to my pc the apps do install. What is error code 0x8007000b. And how do I get the apps to install on my sd card. Note: I don't want to install the apps to my device memory as I have only 10GB left.
I have an HP Stream 7 that only has 32 GB of space. I put in an SD card and changed the default location in "Storage" to install all new apps to the SD card. Whenever I try to install an app now, I get an error and will not install. When I changed it back to install on C, it downloads and works fine. Is there any work arounds? I saw that someone mentioned they installed the apps to C, and then moved them to the SD card.

View 3 RepliesI was using skype as usual, put my computer to sleep, and woke it a few hours later. (Laptop) Anyways, I tabbed over to skype, and started fiddling with video options (I was trying out a spare webcam since my laptop's is horrible). I compared the two feeds for a while, and clicked the drop-down option for my laptop camera to compare again.
This is when my skype stopped responding, and I closed it with Task Manager. When I opened it again, I received an error telling me I was already logged on. When checking Task Manager for any skype processes to close so I could entirely restart the program, I found this: [URL] .... I have it highlighted. I can't end the task.
How do I dissable or get rid of Skype from windows 10.

I was trying to get Skype Desktop to work on W10 v1511 and decided to uninstall the Skype Video App that comes with W10. Now I want to get it back! Short of reinstalling W10 how do I go about reinstalling the Skype Video App? I know it must be obvious but I'm at a loss.

how can I disable this process, so it won't start up every time I boot?

I have headphones set as my Default Communication Device, speakers as my Default Device and when communication activity is detected, all other sounds are set to mute.
Using Skype (desktop), on W8.1 this worked fine; on answering a call, the music through the speakers is cut. However, on W10 (both Home and Enterprise) the sound through the speakers is not muted.
Seems to be the exact opposite of the following...

View 1 RepliesWhen i shutdown windows Skype will not automatically close, giving me the error in the picture below. I have to manually right click on the Skype icon in the system tray and quit it, then shutdown windows again. It's a hassle.
I've reinstalled Skype. I'm running latest version of windows 1511 and all upto date. I'm using the Skype desktop app, on a desktop pc, in desktop mode.
When I open the Camera app I get "Something went wrong" 0xa00f4273 error. ... and the application crashes after that
In Skype/Hangouts the camera is working BUT the frame rates per seconds are very low - around 5. So the picture is really laggy.
My driver is: USB2.0 VGA UVC WebCam. Device manager says the driver is up-to-date. In ASUS's website there aren't any webcam drivers.

Have had this error for a couple days now. Tried regular checks to verify system components and online image and windows update service diagnostics, cleaned up SoftwareDistribution, turned off non-Microsoft auto starting services, - all to no avail.
Also, ran netfxsetupverifier, which gave me the only error - aspnet.mof missing, which I presume is OK.
I've been trying lately to update my Window 10 Laptop (previously Windows 7) to the latest build through WMCT (Windows Media Creation Tool), but I failed three times,
I downloaded the WMCT from Microsoft website. For the first two times I ran it, it failed through the updating windows phase (copying data, installing drivers and features, and a third one).
I tried deleting the content in Window/SoftwareDistribution/Download, and re-running, but also failed at the beginning of "Installing Drivers & Features". I am able to download everything and "preparing to install" normally, but it is just at that phase where I get a message saying "We are restoring the previous version of Windows".

View 1 RepliesI have recently encountered a problem with the updates on the Windows Store. The apps are not updating anymore and are stuck. I have tried to follow most of the methods provided online including the troubleshoot step but to no avail. The troubleshoot simply couldn't find any issues to solve. Windows Update on the other hand, is working fine. Here's a screenshot of the progress.

1) Resinstalled driver, still popup continues
2) using autorun app, i have tried to remove the entry (It stops the popup but the Dell touchpad utility is not starting up, so I cannot use the scrolling and the gesture support)
3) Again I turned on the services from autorun, popup came again
4) Tried cleaning registry by ccleaner, still the issue persists.
5) Tried to reset windows, but tat also not happening (boot device failure)

Using windows update I was installing the MS Drawing Driver and my keyboard flashed (blue lights) and the next thing a BSOD. I have attached the collected files, how to confirm the MS Drawing Driver is responsible.
View 4 RepliesI've just bought my first SSD and want to install windows 10 onto it. I used the media creation tool to install the OS onto a bootable USB but when I try to install the software onto my SSD I get an error. It reads:
"A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or Hard disk driver. If you have a CD, DVD or USB flash drive with the driver on it, please insert it now."
I have tried hooking up my optical drive and inserting the disks that came with the motherboard and graphics card but it says it can't find any drivers. I'll attach an image below of the problem I'm facing.
