Apps :: Pie Control For Any Windows Tablet Or For Touch Screen?
Oct 20, 2015
If there is a pie control for windows tablet like the ones for android. I want to buy the surface pro 4 and I would love to have pie control for many reasons.
Surface Pro (original 128GB model). Upgraded from 8.1 to 10. All that went well. I turned off a number of tracking items, wifi sense, and left Cortana off.
I am running into a couple of problems(?) and they may be related. I have my tablet set to go into sleep mode when I close the keyboard cover - original MS keyboard that I bought with the Surface. Even in sleep mode, my tablet gets and remains hot or overly warm to the touch.
I also noticed that it seems to be "eating" a lot of upload wifi band width (according to my TWC tool). I have 200/20 for wireless and the Surface is holding /using 5+ upload consistently. I have cycled it on/off and other than Windows 10 I only have MSO 2010, iTunes, Amazon Cloud Player, Kindle, Chrome, Google Drive and Dropbox installed.
My touch screen randomly won't work, only to find that it's disabled in Device Manager. "USB Input Device" is what it shows up as. I believe it's a software I have installed that may be interfering.
I have a Cherry Mobile Alpha Morph that works without problems aside from the fact that, when I undock it from the keyboard, it doesn't detect that it should now be in Tablet Mode. I have to manually go to the Action Center and toggle it there. Same with docking it back. I have already checked my settings and I didn't disable Tablet Mode either.
how I can resolve this? I just want to seamlessly dock and undock the tablet and it should switch to tablet or desktop mode respectively.
I don't know if it's relevant but the OS is Windows 10 Home Single Language.
I am using a Dell Venue 8 Pro with Windows 10 installed. Everytime after Windows Update reboot, the touch keyboard will not be shown on the Logon Screen. I have to use image password to login, and it will resume normal until the next time another Windows Updates are installed.
A few weeks back on my Surface Pro 3, I was able to view my desktop and have the tablet style on screen keyboard popup in text fields. Now if I'm in desktop mode, windows does not load the tablet style on screen keyboard when touching an input box and the keyboard icon is gone from the systray. If I'm in tablet mode, the keyboard works like it should, but I'm not able to click on a show desktop icon somewhere. Is there a way to be able to see my desktop *and* use the tablet style keyboard that auto-pops up?
Also in chrome, I am unable to click anything except the X button to close it. So far I'm regretting my upgrade to windows 10!
I upgraded to Win. 10 8/3. Everything seemed to work fine for 2 days. Then yesterday, the 5th, I could no longer scroll sites up or down by touching and moving my fingers up or down. The other touch functions still work, like going to links or sites, the 'click here' (touch here) options, close, etc. I can even scroll by touching the scroll bar and moving it up or down or right or left. My fingers don't scroll anymore unless they move the bar. And I just noticed areas on the sites don't get bigger or smaller with just fingers touching them and moving them farther apart either. But I don't know if that's supposed to happen. It did with Win 8.
My Lenovo Flex 15 has lost its touchscreen capability after the Windows 10 upgrade. I have tried the common solutions like deleting the drivers, doing a driver roll-back and running the Windows hardware troubleshooter, all to no avail. Before I restore to Windows 8.1 ...
Running windows 10 on my ASUS Q550LF and touch screen does not work. Device manager shows that I have two graphics cards (Intel HD graphics family and NVIDIA GEForce GT 745 M) and they both have the exclamation point next to them. Both drivers are up to date, yet the touch screen will not work.
i can't scroll using touch screen in my browser or photos or anywhere else after the Windows 10 upgrade. is there an update coming or are there any settings for the same ?
I broke the Acer R7 touch screen. The break in the top right corner causes the touch screen to randomly change the mouse focus even if I do not use the laptop. The crack in the screen takes focus away from the login prompt box as I type in my password.
It was using Windows 8.1 and with some difficulty was able to disable the Devices>Touchscreen Then it worked fine when touchscreen device driver was disabled.
I then upgraded to Windows 10 which re-enabled the touchscreen However the touchscreen mouse movements wont even let me login.
I would like to disable the Windows 10 Device>touchscreen driver as I did in Windows 8.1 But cannot even login.
I know there are not to many people who like the touch side of things, but I have just installed 10 on a touch deviceStar Screen is the default, looks exactly the same as 8.Apps all launch maximized on the desktop (not the new full screen option).
On W8.1, it'd appear on just about every blank box I'd touch with my finger. Now it almost never appears, for anything. Is this supposed to happen, or is it a bug?
I have been having a problem with disabling the touchscreen in my windows 10 laptop. At one point, my laptop fell on cement. Luckily no hardware was damaged except for the screen's glass, losing its touchscreen capability. The problem is that the screen keeps recording false touches, making it difficult to get work done. I took the liberty of disabling the screen on Device Manager, however, after a few boots, the touch screen was somehow re enabled. I tried uninstalling the device, but it is built into the windows operating system and would simple be re enabled at the next boot. Is there any way to keep windows from recognizing the touchscreen without physically removing the touchscreen?
I use Chinese Tablet Telclast Air 3G come with Windows 8.1 with Bing upgraded to Windows 10 Home.
Now I have problem with touch screen which I need to re-calibrate every time I turn on after turn off and charging tablet. When I turn on tablet touch screen is mess and I need to use external keyboard to log in and re-calibrate touch, if I turn off tablet with out charging it after turn on it work fine what can I do to solve this problem?
I never had this issue with windows 8.1 and after I upgrade to windows 10 it work for a few week then this problem occur.
My spec: Intel Atom Z3763F Ram: 2GB Intel On Board graphic card with latest driver
I use a Lenovo Miix tablet as a "kiosk". The tablet hangs on a wall, and never goes to sleep - but it turns off the screen after 1 minute inactivity. Touching the screen should light it up immediately.
All this worked wonderfully with Windows 8.1. After the move to Win10, touching the black screen does not light it up. It seems that Win10 puts the tablet to sleep, although the power options are clearly set to "Sleep: NEVER".
I re-installed win10 on my ASUS Q302LA laptop after completely wiping the c: drive using Ubuntu. I installed Ubuntu in order to delete the "Old windows" folder, which apparently can only be done from windows if you have god or "trusted user" status, whatever the hell that is. After installing over Ubuntu using win10 from an iso optical disk, the usb ports and device manager no longer register my seagate external hdd. Now this is scary because the seagate is a "backup" drive and now it's useless. It's still good and works fine with my hp elite so nothing's lost, but the idea that were I not to have a second computer my data would be unaccessible by the very products supposedly designed to keep it safe. The touchscreen feature is also non-functional. I'm not sure whether this is a win10 problem or an ASUS driver problem specific to this computer.
Edge swipes no longer work after latest update, all other features of touch screen work but no edge swipes to bring into view currently used apps screen or control centre . (left and right edge swipes)
My printscreen key (PrtSc) was working perfect yesterday. I restarted the laptop today and it is no longer working.
I used to simply press on the key and the images were automatically saved to my dropbox folder, that is no longer the case.
Windows 10 asked me to update the dropbox and since then it no longer captures the screen with a single touch (It does however capture a screen image when I do the win key + PrtSc).
Is it possible to have the apps pane (burger menu top left corner) remain open when viewing the start screen I find this screen extremely dull compared to 8.1, I think the lack of colour has a big impact.
My Windows 10 tablet randomly freezes and brings me to a blue screen saying something along the lines of this pc ran into problems and will restart in 30 seconds or so.
In windows 10, you're given the ability to drag the start menu to a larger size and enable a third horizontal row of tiles. Im an insider, and using 10240 (rtm). Even in tablet or full screen mode, still only the two columns.
