I had installed remote mouse on my computer but then decided it wasn't something I wanted so I uninstalled it in the control panel, when I restarted my computer the program wasn't in the uninstall list in the control panel but kept starting on the boot up of the computer and still remains in the notification area and pops up. How do I delete this permanently off my system?

I took the plunge today and did a clean install of Windows 10 pro downloaded from MSDN. The performance is also incredible, everything is very snappy & responsive.
during setup, i opted for "my organisation owns this computer" and i signed in with my Office365 (E3) login details, i also opted to apply the default security policies. the office365 account had only been used to sign in to outlook online, and was never used for Azure active directory / windows login. the setup completed and i can log in directly to the desktop no problem. i noticed however that i could not sign in to one drive, i kept getting prompted for the username and password, and it was rejected every time despite being correct. i have no trouble accessing one drive via the web interface. also, now i noticed that i am unable to access this PC when logging in remotely via remote desktop (from a Win 8.1 PC). the credentials are correct.
it's a mystery. i have a microsoft ID (personal email address - no outlook/hotmail/live email etc) that i've had for years and this is linked with a Microsoft Action Pack subscription. i needed to sign in with these credentials on the Visual Studio license activation screen. i now notice that when i sign in to Office365 via web browser, i am prompted with this question (new since installing windows 10):

After updating to windows 10 I don't need Classic Shell any more.
But how to uninstall, the uninstall button is disabled.
My upgrade to 10 has gone pretty well so far. The only problem is that Audacity audio editor (2.0.6) won't work
("Internal PortAudio error"/"program not supported.")
I want to uninstall it, but it's not recognized by Windows 10 "Uninstall Programs."

View 6 RepliesMany of the Universal Apps cannot be uninstalled because the button is inactive (grayed out). This might be 'by design' for the Technical Preview since Microsoft wants users to test the Apps.
The preferred method is to use the uninstall button when it is active. The list below provides a way to uninstall an App when the button is NOT active.
Launch an elevated PowerShell (Right click - Run as Administrator ...)
Copy the command for the App you want to remove from the list below and paste it into the PowerShell window
Example:
To remove the Calculator App, copy the entire line under the App name

I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 10, but it told me I need to uninstall Buffalo TurboPC EX Series. I looked in the uninstall a program screen, and couldn't find it. Is there a way to uninstall it?
View 4 Repliesok, got a buddy in the uk who upgraded to 10, now he wants to remove microsoft office 03 as its barely compatible with 10 and he wants to grab a more recent version of office. small problem. he cant figure out how to uninstall it. the usual suspects for enabling an uninstall dont appear to show the program. I've directed him to tutorial Apps - Uninstall in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums and suggested option 4. he's currently told me both hdd's and the ssd all have a folder called microsoft office. he's unsure whats what.
edit: for clarification, the SSD is the drive that has the operating system installed to it. one hdd holds installed games, the other gets everything else.
I installed a software two days ago. Now I wish to uninstall it completely and want my PC to be in the state as it was before installing it. A simple uninstall may leave some of the backdoor components installed by this software. Unfortunately, Windows 10 has System Restore off by default which I forgot, so can't use the System Restore.

View 5 Repliesthere are lots of "apps" that come with Windows 10 that I do not need and will never use. Therefore, I'd like to uninstall them. I'm talking about things like Xbox, Weather, Phone Companion, News, Movies & TV, Money, and all their friends. The start menu only offers an option to unpin them, while the Apps & features tab in the Settings has the "uninstall" option grayed out.
Now, I refuse to believe that things like Xbox or Movies & TV are crucially important for the OS to run. Why then it is so hard to remove them?
These seem very useless to me and i want them off my pc because they cause an annoyance to me

I have a Dell Inspiron 17R laptop that came with Windows 8. I downloaded 8.1 and used that since 2013. I am now using Windows 10 and it has been it good transition until the last update. I keep getting messages about dell backup and recovery not being compatible with this version of Windows (Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.11). I would just like to unstall the Dell application since I do not need it. I have a backup of my system should I need it in the future.

After updating to build 10041, it broke my xbox music, video and also the Netflix app. I was able to uninstall and reinstall the Netflix app which made it work again, however since xbox apps are part of the core, I can't just uninstall. Any way to delete them?
I was able to get into the windows app folder in the program files directory but still couldn't edit my permissions to allow me to delete it.
I just wonder why some of my apps are not listed there?! I also tried "apps and features" from settings and still some of my installed software don't show up there either!
Even tried with 3rd party uninstaller program (Revo) and still no trace of these installed software!
EX: Cubase, Photpshop, Premiere, etc

I noticed today on my laptop that that when I right click on an application from the start menu there are options such as Pin to Start, Pin to Taskbar, Uninstall, Run as Administrator and Open File Location. However, when I right click on an application on my desktop PC, the only option I have available is Pin to Start.
View 1 RepliesYesterday I downloaded and had a fresh installation of windows 10 (means I have no backup of my previous windows 7). Now since installation, whenever my PC goes to sleep I fail to wake it up by pressing any key on the keyboard or touchpad.
I've tried to find the power management in keyboard settings from the device manager but I failed to find any option there.

In the Device Manager I went to Mice and other pointing devices > HID-compliant mouse > Properties > Power Management > Allow this device to wake the computer, and unchecked it. But still the mouse wakes up the laptop from sleep. Why?

I'm working through some issues but the one that is really annoying me is the inability to add any accounts to the Mail and Calendar apps. I have tried adding my Microsoft account as well as Exchange and other types of accounts. No matter what I do, I get the "Something went wrong" error message.
