Sep 12, 2015I have looked everywhere. I just upgraded from Windows 7. I use Explorer ++ but it has limitations.I have no use for a Preview Pane.

Aug 16, 2015windows 7, I was able to to go into file explorer and would be able to see the document in the preview pane using PDF viewer Plus. Now I am unable to see anything. I cant seem to see any way to configure the file explorer to see any pdf files. Word files ok just seems to be the pdf files.

I was using windows 8.1 -- and didn't have this problem -- when I upgraded to Windows 10. I like everything about 10 so far EXCEPT this.
Someone in another forum recommended installing VLC media player and associating all video files with it. This worked for some users who were experiencing this issue, but it didn't work for me unfortunately.

When Preview Pane Is Open Explorer Can't Find Files By Typing The Name
Sep 2, 2015Here is the problem:
In file exlorer:
when I have the preview pane is open,
I select a file,
I start typing the name of a document to find it, but the file explorer doesn't take me to the file. (it doesn't find it/highlight it)
When I turn off the preview pane, the file explorer finds the files without any issues.
In Windows 7, it did this without a problem, in the same folder.
Admittedly, I do have over 40,000 files, but since it worked fine with Windows 7, I don't think this is a problem with the number of files.

Mar 5, 2016What i mean is when i move the mouse cursor over an app window in taskbar if it's a game in the passed i saw the game running/playing in the small window of the app or if it's a program. Now i need to click on it and enter to it to see what is going on with it.
Now the problem is only with battlefield bad company 2 when the game is running in the background instead clicking on it's icon to enter it and see what is going i want that when i move the mouse cursor over it it should show me in the small window the game. But instead i see only white small window.

The share button in windows 10 is the circle with 3 points. It is found in many app and in the share menu of File Explorer.

Documents Folder Multiplying In Navigation Pane
Aug 1, 2015I have this problem on my fresh Windows 10 Pro x64 installtion where the documents folder keep multiplying in the file explorer navigation pane, it sometimes appears when I'm using the file explorer or leave it open in the background for a while.The system folders (Documents, Pictures and the other system folder) are all located in OneDrive and in my case D:OneDriveDocuments.
And this is what happens when I leave the file explorer open for a while. What triggers it so it is hard to reproduce. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with it being in OneDrive but I guess not since none of the other folders are acting like this.The extra Document folders don't appear like that all at once, they appear one by one and when you wait long enough it can become like that. There are no events in the event viewer that seem to be related to this problem so nothing I can show you from there.
I've just found the cause of this problem, it caused by OneDrive syncing the folder. The moment it starts to look for changes or update changes in the folder it will multiply and keep adding more folders one bye one.
Customization :: Possible To Display Details Pane On Bottom
Aug 11, 2015is there anyway i can display my details panel on the bottom ? like it used to on win 7?
because windows 10 shows it on right hand side, but it's just taking too much of the space on my screen, it's really inconvenient when you open 2 folders and snap to sides and modify files.
Any Way To Show Extended Detail In Details Pane?
Jan 29, 2016Recently I was trying to add comments to movie folders so that i can keep a brief description about it when i click on it. It was easy to add comment then i had a bit trouble to get the comment getting displayed in the details pane...after playing with the registry for a while i got that solved as well.
Now I ended up with a problem where the comment being displayed eds with just some 3 or 4 words with the remaining given in dots (...) and I get a full display of it when i hover the mouse over it, which obviously goes way in 5 seconds or so.
So what i need is to find a way to expand what ever that is shown in the details pane so that it shows the entire content in consecutive lines without being restricted to one line (without having to hover a mouse)
You might get a picture of it if you have a small details pane on the right and make it show your processor details when you open thisPC.

Jan 26, 2016all I have is 'desktop'. Everything else is under that. But all the pics I've seen of windows 10 show 'this PC' as the top level link. I would much prefer that.
