View 5 RepliesOn wife's laptop, Win 10 Home, Facebook App worked for her until today. Now the app opens for 5sec then closes. She is still on 10240build. Uninstall/reinstall no fix. Went to store tried updates there no updates. Rebooted computer after reinstall no fix. New laptop less than a month old so no build upgrade available.
View 9 RepliesAfter upgrading to the latest build my facebook app in windows 10 keeps crashing roughly 5 seconds after starting it.
I dont mind this particular problem but it is iritating...
Sfc shows no integrity violations. What could this be? corrupt win user profile?
I'm running Windows 10 and use Google Chrome browser. I have a McAfee security and I have just deactivated the firewall to see if this would resolve the problem.
My Facebook page is unresponsive and blank white. The red icin at the globe suggest I have 4 interaction, and 1 message, I click on this and nothing happens. I've turned off the system, reboot.... still no response.
i'm having an issue with downloading apps from win 10 store. That is bassicaly what i get every single time. They did provide me with steps to follow, first two didn't find/fix any issues, third one i couldn't execute due to an error which i don't understand and therefore cannot fix on my own.

View 9 RepliesI need to downgrade to windows 7 again because some of my drivers are only supported up to windows 7, I don't want to bother with compatibility issues on 10. It shouldn't be any trouble but here is the thing. I can't really afford to redownload all my games because I do not have unlimited internet. Is there any possible way for me to keep my apps/games and downgrade to windows 7? Is all hope lost? (Upgrading to 10 was the worst decision ever, also for some reason there is no downgrade option in windows 10 recovery menu) I have my windows 7 disc.
View 1 RepliesI am unable to purchase any movies, games or apps on the Windows 10 store. When I click buy I enter my password then the screen loads for a few seconds then dims gray. The transaction never gets completed.
This does not happen when the software is free, only paid things.
I need finding the folder for the games I downloaded from the Microsoft Store in Windows 10. It gets annoying finding games through the search tool and having them pinned to my taskbar would also be inconvenient. I would rather they were in a folder.
View 1 RepliesI joined the insider program last year and basically upgraded to all builds from the very first public build. Before then, I was using Windows 8.1 PRO on my Asus Vivobook which was legit (pro license through my school's DreamSpark program).
I was on buil 10240 and decided to download the media creator tool for Windows 10 and chose the first option which was Upgrade my PC.
I chose to keep nothing. It installed, I logged in Windows is not activated. I try installing / updating apps from the store and it won't work. Each time, I get an email from Microsoft saying Device limit reached for installing apps & games. I removed 2 devices.
Now I have 2 devices running Windows 10, the Lumia 822 on insider preview, and Windows 10 Laptop and still have the same issue.
So my problems now are:
1. Not activated and
2. Can't install apps.
so I UPGRADED MY PC TO WINDOWS 10, AND I IMMEDIATELY GET THIS MESSAGE.
It looks like you've reached your device limit for installing apps and games from the Store on your Windows 10 device. If you want to install apps and games from the Store on another Windows 10 device, remove a device from the device list.
I have 1 device using Windows 10, and 1 computer at work running the insider preview, that's it.
So is this a sneaky [adjective removed ]you catch from Microsoft, I cannot have Windows 10 installed on more than 1 device ?
I recently reinstalled Fallout 3 but noticed every time I saved, they weren't detected in the Load screen. I checked the folder (C:UsersAlien2DocumentsMy GamesFallout3) and my saves were there! So the game is saving, but I'm unable to load any of them cuz they aren't getting detected.
I have Windows 10 which warns me the game is not optimized, but it runs fine. Also, I want to note I did not have to install Games for Windows Live when I installed fallout 3 through Steam, but when I click the warning Windows 10 gives me about the game not running properly, it sends me straight to an install link for GfWL which I decided to reinstall.
I had hoped to use the migrate method where you'd move the save files from My Games/Fallout 3 into whatever profile folder there is made from GfWL but after reinstalling and logging into my old account it didn't work.why I can't load my games?
The new Parental Control system is generally a big step forward, though I disagree with the kids having to have an email / Microsoft account and would prefer to be able to leverage local accounts.
One area that could do with a little tweak is around the Screen Time. Specifically, I may want to allow my child an hour a day of general screen time, but limit access to a particular game / app to 1 hour per week to stop them getting obsessed. Sure I can just block them after the fact, but it would be better to allow you to define the rules up-front.
Facebook app crashes as soon as it loads on my laptop which has been upgraded to windows 10.
View 10 RepliesI followed the instructions, go to settings in the People app and add the account. I have Facebook app installed, it says to download it. I uninstalled Facebook and reinstalled. When you click to add the account it goes to the store and comes up with an error. How do we get this to work?
View 1 RepliesOn Facebook, I clicked on a post and when I tried to close it, a message popped up and asked "Are you sure" and the window with the message is small and I can't scroll to bottom to close the message and go back to FB other posts. After restarting, it's still there.
View 3 RepliesFor the last couple of days, when automatically running Facebook of of my START apps list, after Facebook opens for a while it just cancels out without any warning. No problems before this. However, if I run Facebook thru the Internet after signing "ON", no problem. I uninstalled the Facebook from START and re-installed it from Windows Store and it installed with no problem. However, when I try to run it automatically from START, the same happens. It runs for a while, and whenever it feels like, it just kicks me out and cancels. As I stated above, this has only been happening the last two days.
View 1 RepliesIt started out as a temporary problem and has steadily gotten worse. It tries to load them then simply stalls and nothing.
View 2 RepliesMy Facebook app has quit working. It will open and then close. I've uninstalled/reinstalled but that didn't work. It just started doing this today. I'm using a Surface Pro 2 running Windows 10.
View 7 RepliesAs per subject, using Chrome or Windows Edge, if I play a Facebook video, more often than not, the computer locks up and I need to do a hard shutdown.
Have manually installed latest driver for AMD Video card, how to solve this?

View 2 RepliesI own a Nokia Lumia 820. Yesterday facebook app was crashing and wouldn't open so I uninstall it. Now that that I'm trying to re-download it it won't let me. It tells me to check if the phone system is updated which it is. It is the only app I'm having problems downloading, I have download others during the day to check if the problem was related to all downloads but it isn't. It's just facebook.
View 1 RepliesI logged to my Facebook account and before I could get to my newsfeed, I have a notification from Facebook stating that my system is compromised and I need to download F-secure before I could proceed. Now, I am fairly certain my system it virus/malware free (I have a trio of Kaspersky IS, Malwarebytes and Ccleaner keeping my system in tiptop shape).
View 9 RepliesI am running Windows 10 from an automatic upgrade from Windows 8.1. My machine is a Dell Inspiron 15 laptop on my home wi-fi network which is powered by Cox Gigabit service. Everything works well and fast, except that I get no audio from videos in Facebook, Email and those in browser sites, like CNN. I do get audio from ITunes and other previously saved music.
