View 4 RepliesI find the control panel is a bit awkward to find and usually just luck that I find it on advanced setting for something to other. Is there any way to have the full control panel (not that settings nonsense) on the start menu, pin or otherwise?
I can pin it to the task bar if it's open, but I like a clean task bar, not cluttered with stuff that should be in the start menu.
Since the latest 'Update' a little while ago, I cannot open the Start Menu or get to the Control Panel or even Shut the PC down and I've also lost all the Sound.
Just before it all went wrong (Again!) I saw a flag about an 'Immersive Control Panel' which sounds like it could be the Problem?
I am running Windows 10 on my Acer Aspire Laptop. Today I could not find my control panel at all. When I right click on the start menu where it says control panel, I seem to get a flash and the control panel does not open. I really want it back.

View 1 RepliesI'm having issues accessing both the Wifi Panel and the Windows Start Menu from task bar at the bottom of the home screen. When I left-click on with it does nothing. I can right-click on the icons but still unable to open either. Wifi shows a connection (Wifi icon) but still unable to connect to internet. Other items in the task bar are accessible with no problems. Unable to download/update anything because of the inability to access the internet.
View 1 RepliesI've tried all the generic ways, using powershell, using Tweaking WIndows Repair Etc.I don't want to keep restoring windows 10 everytime it happens. I remember I fixed this once by using regedit.
View 1 RepliesNow that I've got Win10,, I was looking around and clicking on stuff to see what was under the hood, I found that you can get to the Old Control Panel like in Win 7, problem is I don't remember how I got there. I don't particularly care for the new Settings menu in 10 but I guess if there is't enough complaints about it, I guess were stuck with it. I do like 10, there are some issues but just like with new stuff, you get bugs.

View 3 RepliesInstalled Win10 and have the following problems.
1) I have no sound; Sound icon on task bars says "No audio Output Device Installed." When I run troubleshooter, it says Troubleshooting couldn't detect the problem.
2) Control Panel: When I click on control panel it opens, however, it shuts down in 15 seconds.
I'm not a techno person. Dummy me didn't back up before I installed and now I can kick myself.
this small problem started when my control panel wouldn't open, when I try it's like my entire desktop gets refreshed (black flicker) and half the app icons in the notification are disappear with no sign of the control panel opening.
I have looked around and found a couple "solutions" but none work tried this in cmd (admin) "sfc /scannow" which ends with no issues found.then tried this which also found nothing.

So I finally just tried a reset of my computer removing all personal files, apps and settings but that didn't work still have the same problem but now I have more problems!....my audio has stopped working, the icon has the speaker with the little red circle and white cross and when I hover over it it says "The Audio Service is not running." when I click on it it opens up a troubleshoot window which doesn't work it goes through the process and end with a "Not Fixed" and when I click the "Explore additional options" it does that stupid screen refresh thing like when trying to open the control panel, and after I reinstalled my VPN my internet wont work.
Today the Control Panel will not appear and Programs and Features is Missing. Also, I can not enter BIOS.
I cleaned and removed spyware to no avail.
After using a pc optimization program called Wise Care 365 I noticed that the windows 10 control panel is completely gone. Even when I search "control panel" it doesn't show up.

I have been researching it all day but to no avail. I am using an Acer laptop and I updated to Windows 10 last July. I have had this control panel until today. How to restore it?
View 4 RepliesWhen I had Windows 7, I put a shortcut to Control Panel in the startup folder (I used to need it to start at startup). Now I am on Windows 10 and it still starts at startup. I deleted from the folder (looked up where it was) and checked in task manager if it was set to run at startup but it wasn't there.
