Can Only View Photos One At A Time - Next Arrow Is Not Working
Nov 6, 2015I've loaded Windows 10 on five computers and other than a few bugs,all are working well. Last night I noticed when I plugged in a thumb drive to view stored photo's I cannot "arrow" over to the next photo in the file. No program tried will allow me to do this. All photo's have to be opened one at a time by backing up to the menu list and selecting it.
The arrows for Forward and Back are there but gray and not active. This just started. I then went to stored images on the HD and they worked normally. I went back to the thumb-drive to see if anything changed,it did not. I returned to the HD photo's and now they too have to be opened one at a time. You can no longer arrow over to the next photo in line and view it.
How to restore the arrow function to view the photo's? It must be some global setting as it does not work in any viewing software on my computer.

Nov 26, 2015I used to have a gadget on my desktop that would open and close my dvd drive which was very convenient for me as I can't easily reach the button while sitting in my chair (and if I stretch, I CAN take out or put in a disc),Is there an app in Windows 10 will do that?

Dec 30, 2015I have opened the builtin admn by changing the cmd to sethc so whenever i press shift 5 times at login it opens the cmd for me to type the net user admin /active:yes command but my question is i open taskmgr with the cmd I mentioned before I run programs from "run new task" command the programs opens but close automatically after a few minutes. How to make it not closing itself?

Sep 5, 2015So, for the past 2 days my pc is displaying an unusual behaviour. Every installer that I download does not work.
Some programs like uTorrent or Dolphin or Hijackthis don't work. I have tried compatibility, I have tried running them as admin. And nothing worked.
Funny thing is, they run normally when I boot my pc in safemode. I have researched throughout the internet and I haven't found a similar problem nor solution.
If I access them through the cmd console, they run normally. Go figure.
Store Apps Closing When Resuming From Sleep
Sep 4, 2015Windows Store apps close sometimes when resuming from sleep? It doesn't happen all of the time, but on my Lenovo Yoga 2 pro, its often enough to notice. Its probably supposed to be similar to how Windows 8 would tombstone apps, but this seems a little more aggressive since its not suspending them . Its most annoying when Edge shuts down because its closing all of the tabs too and doesn't resume them when its reopened.

Apps :: Programs Closing Suddenly Approx Every 3-5 Minutes
Dec 29, 2015My main problem is programs suddenly close. When using a browser (Firefox or Chrome) the program will close. Approx every 3-5 minutes. However, there are times it will stay open for significantly longer. I've tried using Firefox with Addons disabled and still forced closing.
I have experienced this as well with another program I use for my ip cameras, Blue Iris. However, it only happens during playback, never when the program is open and either recording or ready to record.
Don't know if this relates, but I'm having a problem with my video card having an error every few minutes. "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered". I've updated the driver from AMD's website, but still erroring. Then went to AMD and ran their program for completely removing the driver and reinstalled the driver. Fyi, after this driver, they aren't going to support this gpu any longer. AMD HD Radeon 6670
A bit of background, in approx late July, I received the invite to update to W10, ran the test to verify everything was okay. Upgraded. Ran W10 for a few days without errors, then did a fresh install. I shutdown every morning.
Dell XPS 8300 from 2011. PS, I had to type this question in Notepad because the browser kept closing.

Mar 5, 2016New update for photos update available. Downloaded manually, went in ok first time. Working across all user accounts. Suggest for users with multiple user accounts to create a restore point first. If the update fails first time it can render the app broken for other user accounts based on past experience.

Feb 10, 2016When you choose photos and select 'open with' it gives a selection of apps. In the list I see the apps but one that looks odd is labelled %1 and has a generic app icon. It's almost as if it's some kind of old or broken program that doesn't exist. All the other programs like paint and photos are in the list as they should be but this is a rogue one.

Aug 12, 2015I have PhotoShop which runs fine under win10 bty BUT I really like the little Photos app for quick editing however. It doesn't work all the time.
The app itself never fails to launch but with about half of the pictures that I try to edit give me the error that says "Can't edit" YOU CAN SEE A SCREEN CAP OF THIS EXACT ERROR.
Now, I have checked permissions of the files and even with photos with identical sets some will edit with no issues and the others get that same exact error message!
I have done everything I can think of including uninstalling the Photos app and then reinstalling it from the store. DID not change anything.
Yes, all of the jpg default programs are set to the Photos app (triple checked all those).

Aug 28, 2015What I mean is when I use photo viewer (or any program it seems) to view pictures in a folder and I then press left or right to change the displayed picture, it changes it based on the name of the file. I want it to change based on the position of the file in the folder because I like to have my photos organized by creation date. As it is now when I try to use a photo viewer it jumps around the files in the folder and is highly annoying when I'm trying to view them by order of position.

Apps :: Photos And Maps App Launching Frequently
Sep 9, 2015I have windows 10 running in Bootcamp ( MacOS. I upgraded to Windows 10 pro from Wind 8.1 Pro.
After upgrade I notice that Maps app and Photos app keep launching automatically , even after closing them. I'm not sure what is triggering them.
I have verified that these apps are not in autostart ( msconfig).

I need to know how I can remove the photos and also how I can change my settings so that I can stop sharing my photos to my Win 10 PC. Is this something I need to do in icloud, itunes, or can I adjust the settings in the photo app itself?

Jan 9, 2016The new Photos app in Windows 10 (while allowing a variety of editing functions), does not allow me to add a caption, i.e., update the Title attribute of a JPEG file. The old Windows Photo Gallery in Windows 7 was very useful in this regard, since I could update a number of the metadata (EXIF) fields.
How can I do this in Windows 10? Has Microsoft just removed this feature? Seems a retrogade step.

When clicking on the slideshow button, the app plays through the pictures in the folder, though at some point through the slideshow (roughly 20-30 pictures in,) it loops right back to the picture where I started, even if there are other photos in the folder.
