View 2 RepliesI loaded Windows 10, which works well, but Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 has disappeared?
View 3 Repliesive updated and checked up on all of my drivers and in the scan they seem to be fine and completely up to date, and for a day after I didn't have any more problems but the problem recently started up again, and I haven't been able to open up any of my adobe apps and most of my applications without encountering the BSOD. I'm not sure but I believe I'm also having problems with photoshop being unresponsive but I'm unsure if that's possibly related? since it started up after the BSOD problems showed up
View 1 RepliesI use Photoshop Elements 6 to edit my photos. I checked and it is compatible with Windows 10. When I try to save images (using a .jpg suffix and renamed) I get an error message "You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission. Would you like to save in the Pictures folder instead?" If I click Yes, I get another message asking me to contact the administrator. I am the administrator...
View 4 RepliesI bought Lenovo Y5070 laptop recently with these specs: Intel Corei7 4720, 16 gig Ram, Geforce GTX 960m 4 Gig DDR5, and the second graphic card of intel 4600.
I installed windows 10 on this laptop with the latest drivers but I have a big issue with multitasking, e.g. I can not run photoshop easily when another application is open, it takes time and a lag and small hanging (sometimes) to open the second application (for example media player).
I have been having an issue where I am received an intermittent blue screen of death with the message DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. The issue seems to be occurring when I'm using Adobe Photoshop CC 2015. I have updated my BIOS and graphics card to the most recent version, but this doesn't seem to have remedied the issue.
View 9 RepliesI've been having this issue for about a week where any time I try to upload a file in Chrome or open a file in Photoshop CC, explorer will crash the program. It happens any time I try to navigate to another folder. If I leave the initially loaded folder open everything is fine and I am able to upload/open files from that folder. Explorer itself doesn't seem to be crashing, just the program that is bringing up the window. windows 10, chrome and photoshop are all up to date. Saving is working fine. Dragging and dropping a file when available is working fine. I've tested the ability to navigate folders and upload/open files in Firefox, Google Sketchup, Clip Studio Paint, and paint tool sai, those programs are working.
View 1 RepliesReader's Digest version: Both of us are on the same network through an Asus RT-AC56R router. Both are running Windows 10, fully patched, checked w/ Belarc. My network is visible to her system and public files accessible. Hers, and the usb printer on her PC are NOT visible at all to my side of the network. It's as though her system isn't on the network.
Every setting in network sharing matches. I've checked several times to be certain both PCs have the exact same Advanced Network Sharing settings.
I am also running Linux Mint 64-bit as a dual boot. Needless to say, networking using Linux is PERFECT.
How to make visible other pc connected with same network.
View 4 RepliesI have 3 computers on my home network, two are Windows 10 desktops, one is Windows 7 laptop. I'll call them 10-1, 10-2, and 7.
10-1 can see 10-2 and 7.
7 can see 10-1 and 10-2.
10-2 can see 7 but CANNOT see 10-1.
All are Ethernet connected to the same router.
New observation: As an experiment I turned off discovery and restarted 10-1. It is still visible to the Windows 7 laptop and sharing is the same. It seems like the settings in the network and sharing center have no relationship with what is really going on.
I've just installed windows ten and my usb mouse wont work, even the cursor isn't visible, nor is there any lights on my usb keyboard. I've tried the other usb ports on my pc, the results are the same, nothing. So now I am stuck with the start page, I can't move on , why this has happened.
View 4 RepliesSo I'm working on a brand new Dell laptop, and I've been working with Adobe Illustrator & Bridge CS6 and Photoshop CC almost every day for the last week and a bit (got it December 12th, 2015). Everything's been fine up until yesterday, when the BSOD hit me suddenly while trying to save a file in Photoshop. Since that initial crash I can't even have Photoshop open for more than a few moments without the same thing happening. Each time it's a Kernel Security Check Failure.
I ran Windows Memory Diagnostic, I ran chkdsk, updated my drivers, did a full system virus scan in McAfee, and even tried uninstalling all Adobe programs, running Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, and reinstalling from scratch. The moment I get Photoshop up and running again the same thing happens.
Take a look at my minidump files and let me know what might be causing the problem. Photoshop is essential for some important work I'm trying to get through by the end of the year

When I mouse over to the system icons, they usually show the description of the system icons. For example, when I mouse over to the Wi-Fi icon, the connected wifi name would pop-up in a description box. or if I mouse over to the speaker, it would show 'sound' pop-up box.It doesn't show any pop-up box now for every system icons except the notification icon.
View 1 RepliesI am running Windows 10 and trying to set up a network so that I can transfer photos from an android phone onto my laptop hard drive for back up. I've been using an app to do this and it has worked in the past brilliantly (called "Sweet Home" if interested). Unfortunately since upgrading to Windows 10 and changing my phone it doesn't work. I have also been trying to test the network using ES File Explorer. I have tried setting this up on another laptop running Windows 8 and it works no problem, so the issue must be with my settings.
I have set up a home group, made sure everything is shared where it should be and permissions set so that the network should be visible to everyone, but the android device can't see the network at all. For reference when setting up the network I followed the step by step in the link below on the Windows 8 laptop and it worked.

One strange point that I think might be related on the Windows 10 laptop, is when I get to Step 2 (of the link above) under "How to enable sharing on Windows?" the "Share" button is greyed out, even when the folder is not shared. I have to share it by clicking the "Advanced Sharing" button instead.
I have a 3TB external hard drive plugged in to my pc. I use it to stream movies and music to a couple of media players in the house via our wifi network. Recently it has disappeared from my view on the pc. When I plug it in via usb, nothing happens, yet when I plug it in to my daughters laptop it is recognised, leading me to believe it is a setting problem with my pc rather than a problem with the hard drive. How to make it work again.

View 4 RepliesI have an ASUS 2 speed router - it worked fine in Win 7, allowing me to target the 5.2 MHz stream toward my TV for streaming, and use the 2.5 MHz speed for the computers, tablets & phones.
Well, I lost my motherboard, and purchased a CPU with Windows 10. I cannot tell what the router is doing - Windows 10 seems to think I do not require this information, and will not allow me to even SEE the router settings, let alone change them. The stream to the TV seems fine - the CPU internet is slow.
Anyway - how I can access the router settings!
I cannot get the WIFI status tile to show in the Notification Area.
There is no option in Settings - Notifications and actions - to turn this off and on.
If I delete or move items in win 10 they stay visible in the folder until I refresh.
It was a minor issue to start with but it is now interfering with fast operation of using the OS. If you see stuff in a folder then you presume it is there! Trying to delete things that do not exist is becoming a recurring theme now.
Surfing the web like normal with Photoshop in the background (not doing anything on it yet)Monitor goes dark blue/green and returns to normal saying Photoshop has stopped working, and saying in the bottom right corner that the driver had failed and then recovered.
View 2 RepliesI got a problem with USB cable. When I plug it in there is no action from system side. It should at least give me a message like"Unknown Device" but there is NO such message. I don't see it also in device manager...
I've checked same cable on different laptop (Windows 7) and it shows as "Unknown Device".
Scan for hardware changes also dont work for it...
- how to debug it? I've tried Microsoft and Intel drivers but with no luck
I am using Windows 10 - Intel 6 Series / C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1C2D & 1C26 USB Drivers
Recently i upgrade my laptop to windows 10, and also update my graphic drivers, but now the battery icon in notification area is not visible and i can't change the brightness of my screen too. it seems that the graphic driver installed correctly.
