View 1 RepliesNot able to open device manager, disc management or any of those administrative tools. Main thing is that I'm getting a runtime error every time I try to open msconfig.
Runtime error!
C:windowssystem32msconfig.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Running Windows 10 build 10532
I recently upgraded my laptop from W 7 to W 10. Now when I switch on I get a
'Runtime Error! Program: CWindowssystem32atibtmon.exe'
'This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.'
Then there's the top 'half' of a line that reads 'Please contact the application's support team for more '
The only option is to click 'OK' and everything continues as normal.
I have a Surface Pro 3 with windows 10 ENT. Everytime I right-click on files that aren't system icons (my computer and things like that) I get this message:
I have booted with a clean boot. I have corporate antivirus that I cannot remove and I do have the classic start menu app installed ( I have removed this in the process of trouble shooting but have since reinstalled it as it had no positive effect)
Here is all the log info I could find from event viewer (entries are separated by ************):
Faulting application name: explorer.exe, version: 10.0.10240.16603, time stamp: 0x56553bcd
I still have problem with the runtime broker, which uses a lot of CPU and so on, even if nothing is running on the computer. Because of it, when I close the laptop, it can't turn of by itself and still uses a lot of CPU, which will cause a problem one day... I know the idea of the application or whatever it is called (runtime broker) and it is supposed to take just a one or maximum two-three percentages of CPU, but it is not like that with me.
I have tried this one: How to disable runtime broker on Windows 8 RTM - YouTube and as well to go in the registry and set some value from 3 to 4, I don't really remember the exact things, I just saw a topic in some forum about it and the people there said, that it works. BUT not really for me.. I will add a screenshot of my task manager to see, what do I mean:
Runtime Broker starts-runs and consumes almost all CPU-time. Laptop fan keeps running until I stop the process. Tried different suggestions but it still keeps starting.
E.g. disabling time broker service.
Problem still occurs for some reason.
This keeps using more and more memory, my disk usage is 100%, what this is, microsoft forums are useless
View 9 RepliesI've noticed this since installing RTM 10240. With previous Insider Builds this didn't happened. I've cleaned installed twice now and the problem persists. I notice also a "Windows Spotlight Background Taskhost" process relentlessly coming and going and taking resources together with Runtime Broker. Nothing seems to fix this and many other users are experimenting the same. This makes the computer hotter as the CPU gets no throttling rest.
View 3 RepliesOther than slightly faster boot and wake from sleep, does UEFI have any real runtime advantages over legacy boot?
View 1 Repliesafter upgrading to windows 10 my laptop fan always working fast when i checked this issue, i see runtime broker in task manager with high resourse usage when i click on end task, everything be normal... but runtime broker run itselft immediately ...i googled this issue but i couldn't find a useful solution.

View 9 RepliesI cannot install anything from Windows Store. It will down load normally & then fail with error 80073DOA. Updates to Apps also fail to install with the same error. I have run wreset ( several times) but still no joy. Date & Time Zone are correct.
Windows Firewall must be enabled to allow the Store to Update & Install!
Found this by accident. I was running the Firewall that came with Norton Security. Why this is a requirement I don't know. Disabling the Norton Firewall was easy but there was no option to turn the windows Firewall back on as Norton had taken over so I went into Services & did it from there. All working fine now ))
Any apps I try and update attempt to install, but stay at 0.0mb downloaded, then it stops and produces this error: The happens with every app.
I read on some other forums on why this may be happening and someone suggested that it was because I had changed the permissions to the WindowsApps (C:Program FilesWindowsApps) folder so that I could view the files within it. Yes, I did try and change the permissions so I could edit the files within (I couldn't), just for fun and to see if it'd make any differences, so that is what I assume the problem is.
After learning this I tried to reset the permissions, how to, so I tried to replicate the permissions from a clean unaltered WindowsApps folder and it didn't work, no matter what I did. Windows Update doesn't even seem to fix it either.
So is there any way other than reinstalling windows to get the App Store working again?
I have been facing the File System error (-2143326205) ever since I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.
Error description: All Windows Store Apps (Metro/modern/whatever they are called now) crash when I am not online. The Photos app is by far the only app that has given me an error dialog box. I can assume that all apps are crashing for the same reason because all of them start working again when I get back online.
I am not a great fan of these modern apps and the user interface clutter caused by them and hardly use them. But there are some games like Minesweeper that I want to play when I am on the go. I dunno why Microsoft even made calc a modern app (can't even multiply big numbers when not connected).
So far, I have not been able to find a proper solution to this problem. I guess it is a problem in Windows 10 itself and it will take a while for Microsoft to set it right. But I have an idea. Is there any software that creates a fake internet adapter that is always connected to the internet so that the apps think that I am online and don't crash? Is there an actual working solution?
Windows 10 Store gives error 0x803F8003 when trying to download/update apps
Note: the error appears right after it shows acquiring license.
Getting an error when trying to load an app...
View 5 RepliesI've followed some forums to make a wsreset.exe running has administrator or other user the store does not download and always get the error mentioned above.
View 1 RepliesI have the latest free version of Macrium Reflect. I think that I can only get support from the Macrium site with the full paid version. Since the big Windows 10 update last week, I seem to be getting errors in the backup logs. I have checked the Macruim backup logs prior to the update and they are all OK.
View 9 RepliesSo i'm getting error 0x80073701 when i'm trying to install .net framework 3.5 throught install. When i'm trying to install offline(throught windows disk), i'm getting same error text as installing normally. Here it is :
The referenced assembly could not be found.
Offline installer error : 14081
I tried it many times, always the SAME error.
I just upgraded from windows 7 to 10 and I keep trying to load apps for both Facebook and Mint from the store and keep getting the error code 0X80240437, and they wont load.
View 2 RepliesAny way to eliminate the error messages below when my neighbor opens Word, Excel or Powerpoint.
Background: I upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. All went well and there were no problems. They had Office XP with Frontpage (yes that is old) loaded on Windows 7 and it worked fine. When you opened it there were no error messages after the upgrade was completed.
About a week later they wanted a clean install on the laptop because it had been awhile since they ever did that. I do a clean install, Windows 10 Activated successfully so now it was time to reload the applications.
After we loaded Office XP on the machine we started getting theses messages at the point it was loading. Eventually you would get to the application and it was fully functional.
I put the screen shots in the picture included in this post......
Started around the 25th or 26th. Some of the commenters on the app page seem to have the same problem. What exactly is the 0x80073B0C error?
View 2 RepliesSo, for the past 2 days my pc is displaying an unusual behaviour. Every installer that I download does not work.
Some programs like uTorrent or Dolphin or Hijackthis don't work. I have tried compatibility, I have tried running them as admin. And nothing worked.
Funny thing is, they run normally when I boot my pc in safemode. I have researched throughout the internet and I haven't found a similar problem nor solution.
If I access them through the cmd console, they run normally. Go figure.
so windows 10 is running fine on my machine, the only problem i am having is with the calendar app.
I login to windows with my microsoft account with email njamont , i also use the same email address for icloud.
Now when adding the icloud account to the app i used my login which i use for icloud.com
It accepts but when it tries to sync my calendar i get the following error: System Error can't fetch calendars.
I've got 8 apps in the windows store in queue for the last three days. Every time I open store and click on check updates I get this error message as shown below..
Try that Again
Something went wrong
The error code is 0x80070005, in case you need it
