Apps :: System-wide Graphic Equalizer With Presets?
Nov 18, 2015
my on-board sound chip does not seem to include an equalizer. I used to have realtek, but not anymore. On this new PC I have a mobo from Asus called B150M-K-D3, it seems to have an intel sound chip without graphic equalizer.
I am looking for a simple equalizer with presets. The APO equalizer on soundforge does not have such a thing, as far as I can tell.
Few weeks ago i got Brand new Windows 10 Installed on my Pc and i had Dolby Sound System installed together with my laptop on windows 7 and after i upgraded i noticed that sound got very weak and so i tried to find that dolby system equalizer and i coudnt find it just a buttom to turn it on and off. It was so much better on Windows 7 because i had possibilities to manage all sound settings and everything how i wanted, but now i can only turn it on and off. So i wondered is there any program that can raise the sound or give some sort of boost because listening to music now its just terrible.
I lost access to the equalizer after win 7 install. Now I have installed windows 10. Is there a way to get the equalizer back. realtek sound board. It worked great when I had XP installed.
I have been facing the File System error (-2143326205) ever since I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.
Error description: All Windows Store Apps (Metro/modern/whatever they are called now) crash when I am not online. The Photos app is by far the only app that has given me an error dialog box. I can assume that all apps are crashing for the same reason because all of them start working again when I get back online.
I am not a great fan of these modern apps and the user interface clutter caused by them and hardly use them. But there are some games like Minesweeper that I want to play when I am on the go. I dunno why Microsoft even made calc a modern app (can't even multiply big numbers when not connected).
So far, I have not been able to find a proper solution to this problem. I guess it is a problem in Windows 10 itself and it will take a while for Microsoft to set it right. But I have an idea. Is there any software that creates a fake internet adapter that is always connected to the internet so that the apps think that I am online and don't crash? Is there an actual working solution?
I found out that some apps were corrupted on this system (2 weeks old) so I was told to disable or reinstall them. Turns out they don't seem to even be installed (don't remember which they were) - so I started looking around and found out running windows update gives me an error as well running windows apps.
Tried reinstalling app store with powershell and get an error (see attached)
with (Add-AppxPackage -register "C:Program FilesWindowsApps Microsoft.WindowsStore_2015.21.12.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe AppxManifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode)
I installed Win 10 from win 7 successfully. After a day I have lost half of the win 10 actions . i.e., menu looks like Win 7, have lost Edge Nd Mail tells me it is still working. The Win 10 Desktop also does not show.
System Information Program Tool We had this I remember on 7 forums and was wondering if we had it here on 10 forums. Very handy for filling in system specs. If not I guess I'll just have to type.
my mail and calendar and skype and messeging apps are not working right and I would like to reinstall them to see if that would fix them but I don't know how to do that.
I am trying to prevent iTunes from starting automatically when I login to my Windows 10 machine. I have checked startup folder and there is nothing in there. I am not sure where in the iTunes app preferences to control the app behavior.
I recently upgraded from 8.1 to 10. Performance seems great in general, but Visual Studio 2013 really slows down the system, both when parsing the project directory and during compiling. Chrome for example takes up to a minute to load a single page. I tried setting the process priority to low, with no effect. Under Windows 8.1 I didn't have any problems with VS.
I tested other applications such as the Unreal Editor and rendering a video from Adobe Premiere, both also get the CPU usage to 100%, but don't have any impact on the general system performance, so VS is the only app where I notice this behaviour.
On 10581 and 10586 (Public Release Build) I can't install certain system apps, even ones that support Windows 10 Mobile such as Extras & Info? I can't do very simple things. I'm a Lumia 640 on Build 10586. Error Code: 0x803F8006
My Picasa has disappeared and I now have a system - Microsoft photos 2015 - . Where do I find out how to use it? Some, but not all of my photos are there and I can find no way to import from a memory stick - an "import" instruction does not seem to exist.
I installed Win10 when the upgrade became available...all seemed well until recently. I am using Office 2007 and when i try to save documents, ie; excel or word, i am told i am unable to save to the document folders or previous .xls folders that i had created. The system will let me save the file to the desktop...then i have to drag and drop into the designated folders...with a prompt telling me that i need admin privileges. What gives with this?
Recently upgraded to Win10 pro 64bit. I have an ASUS HD7770-1GD5 video card running both a 26in HD wide monitor as well as a 17in square non HD monitor. Duplicating the screen content on both is what I need. Somehow I had this working great in Win 7, but I must have something set wrong, as the content on both monitors now is indeed the same, but the square screen displays in landscape mode which makes it difficult to see. The clarity of the wide screen monitor is much less than optimal as well. What are the correct settings for this type of setup? I have the widescreen connected via HDMI cable and the older square LCD monitor is connected from the DVI output to a VGA adapter for the monitor.
So I recently had to reinstall Windows 10 to resolve an issue I was having, so my Nvidia drivers were deleted in that process. When I went to turn my computer back on after i was finished, there was no display on the screen so I took out my GPU and plugged the VGA into the integrated graphics and it worked fine. This just made me think I have to install the Nvidia drivers again but then I found out that you need the GPU in your computer to install the drivers, but My display won't work anymore with the GPU inside and no drivers for it.
I've been trying to get the new graphical boot menu, but the system insists on showing me the old style Windows 7 menu.
What's more I couldn't get into the Advanced Startup stuff which allows System Reset and stuff like that until I did an in-place reinstall (using setup.exe).
I think this started when I used EasyBCD to add a "Safe Mode" boot to the list, but now I can't get it to go back the way it was.
In NVIDIA Control Panel, when I select my settings and click apply every things is OK. The next time I reboot they change. Why are they not being saved?
I upgrade my Win7 Pro to Win10 Pro last night and lost my 3840x2160x30 setup, being reduced back to 1980x1200. I've since done a clean install and reinstalled the latest drivers for my Samsung U28D590D and My ATI Radeon HD 5770.Nothing i have done has given me back my 4K resolution.
I am cleaning out and setting up an old-ish PC and whenever I connect it to my TV or Monitor it says either "No Input to TV" or it is just black when I turn it on, I am using VGA to connect it, I tried with a GTX 650 and with just the built in graphics, and still no luck, any reason why?
When I am doing something that is moving on the screen, including moving the mouse, having a loading bar move or a blinking cursor, my screen is fine. However, once nothing on the screen is moving for about 2-3 seconds, the screen becomes corrupted and a graphical mush. Once I move something again, like my mouse, the screen goes black for a second then returns to normal, as if nothing has happened. The display will not update itself out of this issue if a key is pressed on the keyboard, unless that prompts another screen, like ctrl+alt+delete.
In October I bought the MSI GTX 980 graphics card as an upgrade for my Radeon R9 280x. I presumed that I would be getting a lot better performance in games since the 980 is a much more powerful card, this was the case in some games like GTA 5 where I can run the game at much higher settings. However I have found that in a lot of other games my performance seems to have gone down, as an example I will use Borderlands 2 as I have been playing this a lot recently.
Using my old card I was getting pretty much a constant 90+FPS when playing Borderlands 2 but with my current card I am currently getting less than 60 at most times and during combat it can drop to 20's. This doesn't make any sense to me as I have not changed any other hardware other than the graphics card and somehow It is performing worse than my old card.
I understand that the CPU is one of the biggest FPS factors and know that an upgrade to that would be needed for a lot higher FPS but surely an upgrade shouldn't cause an FPS decrease.
So I read about setting display to Extend I've tried updating the graphics card, looks ok and Device Mgr sez it's working The external display, a TV, worked before on Win 7 just fine!
this is: Win 10 64 bit Home was Win 7 HP Pavilion dv7 laptop AMD Radeon HD 6300M Series video card external display: large TV via HDMI
I just bought a new gaming laptop. It's an Asus GL552JX-DM088H.
CPU: Intel i5-4200H CPU @ 2.8GHz - 3.4GHz RAM: 8GB GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M 2GB Memory: 128GB SSD drive + 1TB drive OS: Windows 10 Home (64bit OS)
When I play a video game, doesn't matter which, I get a lag every few seconds / minutes. The games run smoothly on maximum FPS and graphics as they should. However, every now and then the image will freeze for like 0.5-1 seconds. I noticed that it happens usually (but not always) when an action is being performed in the game.
Examples:
*Hearthstone: Unable to queue more than one action in a row. Whenever I make a move, I get a freeze. Also freezes on other occasions.
*Diablo 3: A freeze now and then. No particular pattern.
*Bastion: Freezes sometimes when something happens. Could be an attack, a menu operation... anything.
*Smite: Freezes sometimes when I make an attack, use a skill or buy something. Also freezes randomly.
*Ark: Survival Evolved: A freeze now and then. No particular pattern.
*Photoshop CS6 (Yes, not a game, but it happens here as well. I use photoshop to paint with a Wacom Intuos4 Graphic Tablet / Pen): Whenever I change tools or make an action that is different than what I did previously, I get a freeze. (Computer still moves, but the program won't respond properly for 0.5-1 seconds)
Things I've tried: *Update drivers, different drivers, remove / reinstall drivers. (current is 355.98) *Turn off antivirus real-time scanning and firewall (I use McAfee) *Checked GPU / CPU / RAM usage and heating. Like I said, I used these programs on a worse system and it all worked fine. My system is not strained in any way.
I suspect it has something to do with Windows 10 compatibility, but I want to be sure because I don't wanna roll to Windows 7 just to realize its not the problem and roll back to Windows 10. Too bad I upgraded from Windows 8.1 before I was able to test it...
I also thought I could be related to my Internet, but it does happen on Bastion which is an offline game. I don't know what to think.
whenever I try to install the AMD drivers either via running the installer or auto detect, in the end I'm getting a message saying files did not install and to check the log file. I've got an Asus r9 280x. Control panel says "microsoft basic display adapter" under display adapters.
