First here's my rig:
Mobo: asrock 970 pro3 r2.0
CPU: amd fx6300 not oc
Gpu: vapor x r9 280x 3gb
Ram: 16gb (8gb vengeance pro, 8gb ripjaws 1600mhz)
Psu: corsair RM1000
Storage: Seagate barracuda 2tb, Seagate pipeline 500gb, Kingston now ssd 120gb.
Problem: okay so I recently upgraded my rig from a 7970 to a 280x. I had a 550w antec psu at the time and my pc shut off by itself a few times which stuffed with my windows 10 install. It was saying "bootmgr is missing. So I went to reinstall windows and it shut off again halfway through, I decided it was due to lack of power so I recently bought the rm1000. I have hooked everything up and was about to do an install of windows 7 but now not one of my drives are showing up. Not in the bios either.
I have tried different cables, different ports, the cables work with an optical drive and it shows up. I have tried updating the bios and cleaning cos. Replaced the battery. Is it possible that a psu can kill all three drives without any visible sign? I hope not.
I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and now i am no longer able to power on my pc from my keyboard or mouse. Nothing has changed in the bios settings (see below) and i'm unable to find anything in the windows settings or from some frantic Googling,
Admittedly not the biggest problem in the world, but i did find it handy as i game on my tv and love the fact i didn't have to move my lazy backside to power on my machine.
Is it possible, in Windows 10, to have two sources play audio in two different outputs simultaneously?
For example, I have my TV speakers, and my normal computer speakers. Could I set it so that Skyrim will output from my computer speakers, and Chrome will output from my TV speakers at the same time?
Note that I don't have a dedicated sound card, I'm just using the default onboard audio for an ASRock Z97 Pro-3.
I tried running ASRock App shop today and I keep getting an error that says "Out of Memory". I know my memory is not an issue and have never had this problem before. I uninstalled it and downloaded the most current version from the site and am still getting the same message.
I am trying to install windows 10 on my system, with an AsRock H97m Pro4 and a Pentium G3258. I have created a usb to do so, as the update tool did not work. Whenever I try to boot off of the usb however, the windows logo is displayed for 10-15 seconds and then the computer restarts.
Looking more into it, it appears that other people are having similar issue with the G3258 and windows 10, not sure if this will work or not...
Ok, so windows 10 really does not like to play with the G3258 when both cores are enabled, just search "windows 10 G3258 not working" and several other large threads pop up...
So ive seen this problem in the beta versions, but no fix for the full release. PC is no longer detecting my GTX 970 and my second monitor is also undetected.
I installed the win 10 driver from then nvidia sight. For a short while the second monitor works as it should, but then turns off again.
The graphics driver fails to install on all attempts to update.
I have a dual monitor setup. I have 2 AOC e2252V monitors that would work fine on Windows 7. I have all updated drivers. I've checked the internet for multiple solutions but everyone's problem seemed to be that they didnt extend their displays. My problem is that both windows 10 and my graphics card are not detecting it. They are both connected to the DVI-D connections on my MSI R9 390 graphics card (installed with the latest drivers from 11/30/2015 on the MSI website.) One monitor is hooked up from VGA through a DVI-D adapter to connect to my graphics card. I assumed this wasn't the problem because I did the same thing on my previous card where it worked just fine. I checked to see if one of my DVI-D connections were faulty on the card, but my one monitor hooked up directly through a DVI-D cable (no adapter) works on both of them. If I hook up my TV through HDMI connection, it will detect my TV. I wonder if this is a problem with Windows 10, MSI R9 390, or the adapter. [URL]
Experienced this problem of losing wifi drivers after installing win 10, my hp laptop does not detect wifi but if I plug in ethernet cable the internet connection is sporadic.
My laptop came installed with a 4GB RAM in slot2. The other slot has been free. Today I bought another 4GB module with same specifications and after inserting to slot1, it did not get detected.
I swapped the modules, and the new RAM is functioning perfectly. However, the RAM in slot1 is not getting detected. I have installed CPU-Z, but it too did not detect slot1.
I have also run a memory test, but it did not detect any errors. The BIOS is also showing only 4GB!
I am really trying to like windows 10 but I am having problems from games not working to Windows not detecting the refresh rate of 144hz on my VG278HE it just says 60hz and generic monitor drivers.
I am very close to putting Windows 7 back on my system.
It seems like it is not detecting my second HDMI monitor. I did see that this was an issue previously resolved, but my predicament is a bit different. I use my second monitor as the primary due to the laptop monitor not working. As it is, I have been sitting for close to an hour on a black screen due to my main monitor not being picked up and no way to visually walk through to make it my primary again... If that is even the only problem. Are there any ways I can switch to my main monitor (2nd monitor) worth no visual representation whatsoever?
I love Windows 8.1 Pro, and now I have Windows 10. However, the point is that I've read articles and they all verify that Windows 10 detects cracked software and does not allow us to use them. Moreover, has Microsoft stop the OS from detecting cracked software and block them?
I recently reinstalled Fallout 3 but noticed every time I saved, they weren't detected in the Load screen. I checked the folder (C:UsersAlien2DocumentsMy GamesFallout3) and my saves were there! So the game is saving, but I'm unable to load any of them cuz they aren't getting detected.
I have Windows 10 which warns me the game is not optimized, but it runs fine. Also, I want to note I did not have to install Games for Windows Live when I installed fallout 3 through Steam, but when I click the warning Windows 10 gives me about the game not running properly, it sends me straight to an install link for GfWL which I decided to reinstall.
I had hoped to use the migrate method where you'd move the save files from My Games/Fallout 3 into whatever profile folder there is made from GfWL but after reinstalling and logging into my old account it didn't work.why I can't load my games?
