My computer has been getting slowly worse and worse and now its to the point where I can do anything. I have a intel SSD SC2CW120A3 (I think that's the model number). Usually gets really laggy when I open chrome, watch youtube videos, and when it lags it makes my whole computer studer.

I recently updated to windows 10 and I have been loving it. But today, most windows have begun to flash not responding when I interact with them (ie clicking, typing). This doesn't happen all the time but enough to interrupt my work. If you need any files or anything, just ask.
View 9 RepliesI have a gaming pc. Core i7. Gigabyte Sniper 5 motherboard with wireless lan, ethernet and intel ethernet. So 2 lan ports and a wireless connection. My network and internet is working on my mac iPad and phone. But for some reason on my pc it is showing that the connection has internet access but no apps will work. Skype, steam, origin, i.e, chrome. I have tried everything. I can use a personal hotspot via bluetooth with my phone to the pc as it has bluetooth as well and then the internet works with no problem. I am guessing it is a hardware issue ? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software but it is not working.
View 1 RepliesSo I've built my first ever PC and I chose the ASUS Z170-A as motherboard. When I was finished I installed Ubuntu. The ASUS motherboard do not have wifi compatibility integrated so I used the ethernet cable to connect to internet. That worked just fine, everything worked very smoothly. Then I decided to install Windows 10 instead. I bought the Windows 10 Pro, wiped out all the Ubuntu reserved partitions on the SSD disk, and install Windows.
But now, while having the ethernet cable inserted to the motherboard, it wont recognize it. The green and orange lights next to the ethernet cable input are even turned on (indicating that the PC does have a connection). But still the OS wont recognize that it is there. So even when Ubuntu succeeded to recognize the cable, Windows 10 din not. I speculated that I need some kind of software to detect the cable, but I am probably wrong.
Since downloading to Windows 10 I have had trouble connecting my computer to the Internet. I am on a college campus and having a computer with no internet is like a truck driver without a truck. I am able to connect to the Internet at random times for a few moments before it shows up with limited acces symbol on my wifi icon in the bottom right hand corner. My internet works fine when it is plugged in through an Ethernet cable but that is very inconvenient.

After downloading Windows 10, my internet speed went significantly down, from 35 mbps to 4 mbps. I recovered my original Windows 8.1, hoping it was the new Windows that was causing the problem, but my computer is still very slow compared to what it used to be. I know the problem is in my computer because the three other PC's in my house are all working at normal speeds. I ran a virus scan with no luck. Could the Windows 10 upgrade have installed something that's still slowing down my internet?
View 1 RepliesOne of my computers has suddenly lost internet access, and as far as I can remember all I was doing last time I used it was going on the internet to websites I normally go to. All other computers and devices are fine. The computer in question says WiFi is connected, but no programs can access it including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and my VPN. I haven't noticed any other problems on that computer.
Here's what I've tried so far:
Troubleshooting internet connection - no problems detected
Scanning with Webroot - no threats detected
Turning OFF Webroot - no change
When I try to access a website with Google Chrome I get the error message DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET.
I was browsing internet and i suddenly got bsdod. Screen stopped responding and after few moments i got this blue screen.

GPU: GTX 750Ti
PSU: XFX Core Edition Pro 550W
RAM: 8GB Gskill Ripjaws DDR3 1600MHz with XMP stock setting
i have no overclocks on my system.
Windows recognizes my secondary drive, a Western Digital, SATA WD5000AAKS 500 gig. However, anytime I access it the system lags, files freeze and it acts like it's being re-cataloged. I never had this problem prior to Windows 10, and my other computers have no problem accessing the secondary drive through the Home Group.
View 2 RepliesI have updated my ThinkPad Helix (1. gen) to Windows 10 as soon as possible, went well, no hassle except to find some drivers, but got them in a matter of days. Anyway, I didn't experience the improvement of performance, I expected, so I went for a clean install. Also because I couldn't get Office365 activated - a glitch, I read about several places, none with other solution than clean install of Windows. And I prefer a clean, virgin, fast and clutterfree installation - until I clutter it again ...
Installation went well, took a little over two hours (with cleaning of SDD), chose to keep no files (but had to start over again, because I wasn't satisfied with the folder structure and user names). But now, up and running again, I'm experiencing lags and holds, when primarily, opening at website with Flash or other things going on, like video or a chat window. The cursor reacts with seconds delay, hardly to control, have to use my fingers to close the browser again. And it's the same, regardless using Firefox, Chrome (this is worst), Edge or IE ...
Closing the window or tab with the problematic page, the computer responds quickly as i would expect it to...
Tried to disable the native flash-player in Chrome, didn't work. Went from Chrome Canary back to regular Chrome, didn't work.
Also I had CPU or GPU (onboard) suspected, but installed all relevant Intel management software, got Lenovo System Update and got system specific software and drivers, but left out the bloatware.
I can vaguely remember same problems, when I went from W 8 to 8.1, but can't remember the problem and the solution. I think, I did a reset, but not sure. Another clean install? Took me hours, so would like to avoid this...
I have had an issue of my computer Blue screening multiple times over the past few weeks. The frequency has increased and I cannot replicate the issue on demand, it comes and goes by itself. The first time I noticed this was when my computer BSODed when I was streaming a video to my Chromecast. Once the computer restarted, it did not have any further issues. However, these past few days when I was browsing the net, my computer was BSOD on its own without really doing anything resource intensive. Is there any way this can be fixed? View 1 RepliesTitle says it all. After waking from sleep mode the computer disconnects from the internet and I have to reboot to get a connection. Makes the whole point of having a "sleep" mode useless. This is annoying because often I go away from m y computer for a few hours during the day and don't want to have to reboot to get back onto my computer. Rebooting wears out the components and is uneccessary when it should simply wake from sleep mode with no hassles. I have a wired connection via ethernet cable. My router is always switched on.

My computer wont connect to the internet via ethernet cable. It works when the cable is directly connected to the modem, but when I run the cable into the wall output it wont connect. Ive tested that there actually is internet through the cable in the wall by connecting it to my Macbook, and it works perfectly. what can I do to fix this?
View 1 RepliesI'm troubleshooting a PC that was recently upgraded a few weeks ago from windows 7 to windows 10.Up until today, there were no major issues. However, suddenly the computer stopped connecting to the internet. It's not picking up any wireless signals and even with an network cable plugged in, it doesn't connect to the internet. The network adapter picks up as working when I check everything in the device manager, and when I look up the network printers, I am able to see them. But when I try to setup a new network connection, I get a message saying "no network hardware detected". And when I try to print random documents, I am not detecting the printers.

If I open This PC (for example) icon on my desktop, all of my RAM and CPU will be used and it will freeze my Windows for 20 seconds or so. The same applies to all the folders I try to open. When moving a 100MB folder, it uses almost all of my RAM and disk. I have tried the following commands but none worked: sfc /scannow, chkdsk and DISM.
I have a HP Pavillion P6-2006pt desktop.
Yesterday i got a second screen that is smaller than my main screen. I was playing csgo and hearing music at the same time and it was smooth. Today I got home and started to play csgo without music and csgo has like minor freezes like every 2-3 seconds it will freeze for a split second.
My PC specs are:
core i5 4430 @ 3.00 Ghz
8 gigs of ram
gainward geforce gtx 650
I am running csgo only on the main screen and not on both. The lags occur also on youtube.
I can't watch 4k youtube videos. It lags really bad.

I've tried changing DNS, resetting router (but im hooked on ethernet), Tried all browsers from chrome. firefox, and Edge.
For some reason my Task manager is showing high cpu usage, and im lagging in some games. This is what it shows when I look into my task manager

View 8 RepliesI just updated to Windows 10 but I think the problem was with Windows 8 too, Sometimes my internet is out on my PC while the internet is still up on my brothers PC, tho this problem happens about 3 times a very few days.. We have 5+ computers in the house and 4 are on daily while 3 is being used daily the 4th one is not very used daily and sometimes off most of the time. So the 2 computers have Windows 10 and 3rd computer has Windows 7 while the 4th computer has Windows 10 also. I read on an article which says that Windows 10 uses bandwidth without you know and I checked task manager and on windows 8 my CPU and Memory was just fine and when I upgraded to Windows 10 my CPU spiked to about 20% and Memory spiked to about 72% and sometimes random numbers appear on all 4 sections( CPU, Memory, Disk, Network).

I have done a fresh install of Windows 10 (wiping the previous partitions) and it's lagging even before I install any drivers. The extraction speed on zip file was around 100-200 kB/s and periodically went to 0. Is this a hard drive failing?

For some reason my Firefox browser is always lagging.
Chrome works fine though.
When I open a new tab, the browser starts lagging, when I open multiple tabs it's lagging a lot.
Click a link -> Start lagging.
Why is this happening? Had the same thing on Windows 7 but the lags seems more in Windows 10.
