BSOD :: Daily After 1 Hour Then Fine For Rest Of Day
Feb 23, 2016
Have an office computer which bluescreens daily after a certain period of time, but then is fine for the rest of the working day.
BSOD shows CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION,
and bluescreenview shows plenty of ntoskrnl.exe+ 14e2a0
I'm sure its relating to a driver but how to go about finding out which one is most likely at fault. Is there a website I can dump one of the DM log files into and have it bring up a list of outdated drivers?

I just updated to Windows 10 but I think the problem was with Windows 8 too, Sometimes my internet is out on my PC while the internet is still up on my brothers PC, tho this problem happens about 3 times a very few days.. We have 5+ computers in the house and 4 are on daily while 3 is being used daily the 4th one is not very used daily and sometimes off most of the time. So the 2 computers have Windows 10 and 3rd computer has Windows 7 while the 4th computer has Windows 10 also. I read on an article which says that Windows 10 uses bandwidth without you know and I checked task manager and on windows 8 my CPU and Memory was just fine and when I upgraded to Windows 10 my CPU spiked to about 20% and Memory spiked to about 72% and sometimes random numbers appear on all 4 sections( CPU, Memory, Disk, Network).

My computer has since for as long as I remember experiencing bsod crashes at varying frequencies. I have previously searched online for this twice, but without any success. The error messages in on bsod vary a lot, but I think all that information is in the attached file. And I don't think there's much more to say about it.

My problem is very similar to one described by tomzino earlier this month in this forum. Since upgrading from windows 7 home premium to windows 10, my computer gets a BSOD and reboots daily; so far in November it has crashed 20 times. The only days it didn't, the system was powered down. The error message is the 'bad pool header' . Oddly, 85% of the BSODs have occurred between 12:12pm and 12:43pm EST. I ran the DM Log collector to gather the information from the last two crashes for diagnosis.

So I'm currently running Win8.1 on a 1TB HDD, and I have a built-in 32GB SSD in my laptop. I would like to install Win10 and a few other apps on the SSD, and keep all of my documents/non-essential apps on my HDD. Are there any hurdles I will have to jump to get this to work? (Essential apps = Chrome, Zune, Groove Music, Photoshop CS6, OneDrive, Xbox, MS Edge [though I assume Edge is part of the OS install]). I assume that W10 is going to be around 16GB, and all of these apps should be able to fit on the drive along with it, as I don't really plan on loading any others aside from FL Studio 12 and Office if I have space.

Recently I updated windows 10 and now whatever colour you choose when "show colour on start, taskbar, action centre and title bar" is on changes the title bar's colour as well. I don't want to disable this option because I like the start, taskbar and action centre being grey but I want the title bar to be white.

Running Windows 10 on an HP Envy M7. The computer is less than a year old and has good specs but no ssd. There are 3 accounts and for some reason one account is way faster than the others. The first account made is the fastest and the other two are painfully slow. Things like the start menu take so long it seems they are unresponsive unless you use the main account. The computer has just been scanned for viruses, updated, and other typical optimizations. Why 2 accounts are slow and 1 is fast?

I've run the troubleshooter, but still my nicely functioning Windows 10 has one kink -- daily updates download, but then during the required restart, the installation fails and the update is not operational. The restarts take forever, sometimes rolling through the restart process 3 times, before the failure message appears. Win 10 and the computer continue to function well, but without the daily updates, that won't last.

I am on Windows 10 Education ver 1511 build 14267
I use a laptop with an external monitor, generally as a desktop setup with external mouse and keyboard, keeping laptop lid closed.
The taskbar disappears on a daily basis. I rarely shutdown my computer, the way I get it back is to restart Windows Explorer from task manager.

As title says. I live in UTC/GMT, and DST is on. For the past few weeks now, the clock seems to go back one hour, as if reporting normal time, yet the daylight savings time option is still selected (and if I un-check it, it goes back two hours--one for the DST, and one from the going back by itself).
Why it does this, and it's actually f-ing with my schedules since I've been one hour late to a couple of things now due to this small but rather colossal error. I actually have to Google my time instead of looking at the bottom right corner, which is so ridiculous.

I pretty much have resolved all my niggling little issues with Windows 10.....I however can not seem to get the clock on the lockscreen to show as 24 hour clock. I have it set to 24 hour clock everywhere else but the lockscreen. In fact even in the preview for the lockscreen settings it shows it in 24 hour mode, but in reality when the lockscreen comes up it still shows the time in 12 hour clock. So am I missing something somewhere? If it shows on the preview as 24 hour clock, this leads me to believe that this capability does exist. No?

Should I be worried. I upgraded from Win 7. It took me to the welcome screen and when I typed in my password it would just hang. Then go black and reboot. So I pressed ctrl alt delete and options came up. I decided to just reinstall basically formatting my hard drive. And it is just hanging there now. At 99%. Is this normal and if not what should I do?

When I place an entry scheduled at 3pm and ends at 4pm, it will take a step back in the 2pm-3pm slot. I really want to use this app because of its compatibility with the mail app, but this keeps me from doing so.

My Laptop has an ongoing problem (about a month now) persistent through several windows updates. The taskbar will sometimes, with no clear trigger or cause, start to rapidly flash between all my open windows, eventually when I click anywhere on the taskbar I am prompted with a not responding windows and the only option is to end the "microsoft windows" process. All the taskbar icons then disappear and seem to reload over approx 10 seconds, once this is complete, all the same windows are open, its as if nothing has happened?Needless to say this is seriously irritating, and gets me raging so my productivity hits rock bottom,

Daily is the name given to the new replacement for Mozilla Thunderbird. It often has daily updates, and the one today (08 Jan 2016) causes it to lose all email settings. As a result, when it start is shows no existing email, no email account, and looks like you are starting with a fresh install of a new email client.
To get around this I downloaded and installed the latest version of Thunderbird (38.5.1) and this did show all my email OK. So something bad happened to Daily - hopefully whoever it is who controls that software will fix it tomorrow.

I regularly use the 24 hour time format for all of my systems. Its not a major issue I have now with Win10, but its annoying a bit.
Before I logon to Windows 10, the default lock screen theme has the time in 12 hour format instead of the 24 hour format.
In Windows, I set everything in 24 hour time. Period. I just don't like 12 hour time.
However, when I sign out or just by locking my screen, it does show the time in 24 hour format.
But when I reboot my system it shows the time in 12 hour format.

I'm not sure if this issue has to do with Windows 10, but I figured it may be worth looking into.

I have an acer aspire E1-531. Upgraded to windows 10 first week in aug. from windows 7. first download failed miserably. my son in law removed windows 10 and reset windows 7 to bare bones. then downloaded windows 10 again. all seemed well, upgrade loaded fine. Since the middle of august most updates fail. Cumulative updates have not installed, period. I keep getting error codes, troubleshooting does no good. Says drivers out of date, files corrupted. Event viewer is loaded with failures and warnings. I have Malwarebytes premium.

I've been working on my new computer. I really enjoyed picking out the parts and putting it together, but I'm not enjoying the enormous amount of troubleshooting I'm having to do.I installed Windows 10 on my PC. It froze on set-up, so I reinstalled it. I was then able to use it for a short amount of time and then it froze again. I decided to totally format the drive and reinstall it yet again, and after several attempts (it froze during the set up process several times) I was able to get it installed. Yet, it still freezes.
Normally Windows 10 would freeze in the first few minutes of use, but when I boot Windows 10 through safe mode, it doesn't seem to freeze. My guess is that some kind of software issue is causing this (drivers?) - but I don't know.(Let me clarify that I am able to boot into and use the BIOS just fine. I don't think it's a hardware issue, but I could be wrong.) Is there something that I could do to prevent this from happening? I don't have my drivers installed yet. I also noticed a few errors in the device manger. I'll list them below:
Device Manager > Other Devices
*Base System Device
*PCI DATA Aquisition and Signical Processing Controller
*PCI DATA Aquisition and Signical Processing Controller
*PCI Memory Controller
*PCI Simple Communications Controller
*SM Bus Controller
*Unknown device
They have a yellow triangle next to them. Could my freezing problem be related to this?
