BSOD :: Desktop Constantly Freezing - Error Also Appears After Restart
Oct 10, 2015
My pc usually starts up in less then 10 seconds. Sometimes it takes up to 2 minutes which then results in constant freezing once it's started. Then I proceed to shut down or restart my pc and after it's 'shut down' it comes up with DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION, then the computer reboots. Error also appears after restarting pc. Also, if my pc is left off for a while and I turn it on, it works fine.
Two different scenarios that happens when my computer needs a hard restart
My computer freezes completely (literally no movement on the screen or anything, it's not slow it's frozen). And an extremely loud buzzing sound comes out of my headphones or speakers. The same thing as above except without the loud buzzing noise.
I saw that this happened to someone else who had both the speakers and the headphones plugged in at the same time. However, scenario #2 just happened to me 10 minutes ago even though I only had my headphones plugged in.
I built this computer six months ago and it's the first computer I've ever built. I assume it's a driver issue but I can't really pinpoint the problem since no BSOD appears on the screen.
I have a custom built PC with Windows 10 Home x64-bit and I constantly get crashes. Sometimes I can be on for 5 minutes then it crashes, sometimes an hour. Sometimes there will be a completely white screen, a colorful screen with many-mini squares, and sometimes BSOD video_scheduler_internal_error. I have tried many, many things and nothing works.

I'm having an issue, ever since I installed Windows 10(upgraded, then did a clean install), I've been having issues with Excel. I have Office 2013 and everytime I open an excel document, then close it when I'm done, it freezes. Only happens on excel though, Outlook and Word work fine(only other 2 programs I use). I've done the quick repair and the Online slower repair, along with uninstalling and reinstalling Office. None of these have worked. Is this some kind of bug with Windows 10 or is it just me?
So the problem I've been having with Windows 10 is that it is constantly freezing on me and loops the sound over and over until it unfreezes. The computer is unresponsive and acts like it is about to bluescreen but it doesn't. After it unfreezes, it might display a notification that my graphics card driver crashed(Nvidia 353.63 windows 10 64bit). I would really like the freezing to stop and sometimes the freezing lasts up to 5 minutes or even endless!
Toshiba laptop now with win 10 download on it. have had critical error twice but resolved both times. switched laptop on today and critical error came on screen, used powersuite to resolve it and when it came up to the end of its run, a box came up for a restart so I did. upon starting up the only thing on screen now is what appears to be vertical line flashing up at quite a high speed.
It used to be when I press the power button, followed by the restart option, my PC will immediately perform the restart action.
However, not sure when it began, now when I click the power button, followed by the restart option, the "Choose an option" menu appears instead. I then have to select the first option "Continue - Exit and continue to Windows 10", thereafter which my PC will restart as required.
Since I upgraded from Win 8 to 10, I find that I need to restart my laptop several times a day or else it begins to blank out and flicker and then crash altogether. I recently installed CCcleaner (the free version) to clean the cache and that seemed to work but the problem still comes back, plus all my saved passwords get deleted. I have an HP Envy dv7 with 8 GB of RAM. This PC runs pretty well most of the time but when it begins to slow down and flicker, etc., then the problem starts. I do notice that this happens most often after I have been on the web for a period of time.
I tried to reset my laptop. In the process of resetting it shut down due to overheating. When I turn it back on, the logo appears but no loading bar shows up. It hangs there for a few seconds and then it restarts and keeps cycling over like that. I tried to do a hard reset by taking out the battery and plug, then holding the power button for 30 seconds. I tried doing a system restore. I also tried removing the ram to see if that would work but no luck.

Running Windows 10 Home. Build 10240. When I start the system the screen is black. When I go into File Explorer and click on Desktop all of the items appear there. I can click on say e-mail and I can get into mail and read or answer them.
could I use mct and get the latest there and then do an upgrade which should keep all of my data and files. I originally did the upgrade from Windows 7 Home and that all went well.
After updating to Windows 10 turned my computer ont his morning and signed in. Now desktop screen appears but keeps blacking out and reloading. Unable to open anything and tried rebooting, still happening.
I have a Dell Inspiron N5110 that I just upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday. It's been working mostly without a hitch, but I've run into the dreaded "constant refresh" problem with the desktop and toolbar. It happens maybe every minute or so. I can use the computer just fine for the most part, but when I'm gaming, the refresh will cause the game to minimize and return me to the desktop, which is extremely annoying. I haven't tried to turn the internet off yet to see if the problem persists, but I'm sure it wouldn't.

I activated W10 and played with it for a while and everything seemed ok - I restarted the computer a few days later and the problem above began - the screen goes blank for a split second right after the taskbar items appear and then the desktop appears again - and this goes on and on - I can't access any applicationĀ
I built a computer about 4 days ago and am having constant problems with bsod with all different errors in each one. I don't have any technical information for them, as when I try to download and install things it gives me a bsod. I have gotten the following error messages
I first put on a pirated version of windows 8.1 Pro. But once i realized it can't get updates I installed a genuine copy of windows 10 that i bought from my local IT shop. I have factory reset the pc twice and it still receives the bsod. I also noticed that when i factory reset both hard drives, it still creates windows.old folders, which should have been deleted.
The windows 10 is installed on a ssd (Samsung 850 EVO 120Gb) and is accompanied by an empty 1 TB Seagate Barracuda (Don't know technical specification).
I have crashed from playing games, running a disk cleanup, when it is restarting from the windows memory diagnostics tool and just watching youtube.

I don't have much knowledge about computer at all so I don't know what to do. Ever since I got my PC a year ago it have always been crashing randomly and very constantly with various different error code. (Since I lost the receipt I was unable to return it)
So after I learn about blue screen viewer I was able to get a list of recent crash. which I attach above. I try to google the error code but I dont really understand what I needed to do.
Below is a Dropbox link to the minidumps from today. I use this machine to run my plex server and marketing software. I keep getting BSOD and cant seem to isolate the problem. A few of them seem to be related to Kaspersky.
I run high bandwidth intense programs with a bunch of threads (5,000+).
They system has 2 xenon e5506 with 32gb ram, CPU usage can sometimes hit the 100% mark for a few minutes but typical is stable around 60%. I recently downloaded and updated all drives/bios. I'm not sure if its too much processing at once that is causing the crashes, or if its a driver issues. Error I always get is IRQL related.

I just started using my custom built pc started on December 26th 2015 (built in 2015 summer) because I finally got my monitor. After downloading my drivers for my video card (gigabyte amd r9 280x), everything worked fine. After downloading some games from steam, I played games from steam for like 2 days until my computer started to crash constantly when I turn on my computer (it does not crash when the computer starts but it crashes few minute later after I get into my computer). It crashes at random times, when I open files, device manager, browsers, games and even when I don't do anything on it. When I get really lucky, I could actually play games for a while but it always ends up with a crash.
Sometimes it's a BSOD but 80% of the times its vertical stripes, sometimes blue, black and white, and other different colours. Today it crashed over 10 times... and I gave up with my computer until I found out about this website.
I used whocrashed program to find out why it was crashing.
On Mon 1/4/2016 5:08:21 AM GMT your computer crashed crash dump file: C:WINDOWSMinidump10416-21125-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: atikmdag.sys (atikmdag+0x42003) Bugcheck code: 0x100000EA (0xFFFFE0005A351840, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0) Error: THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER_M
I upgraded my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10 recently. About 90% of boots, my laptop will hang a and produce a BSOD. Initially, the BSODs were typically "system thread exception not handled" and "pfn list corrupt".
However, after the latest Win 10 update last week, initially everything went well, there were no boot hangs for awhile until a few days ago when it keeps on BSODing on boot with the error "Inaccessible boot device". The subsequent restart would end up with a BSOD of "system thread exception not handled". It works only after multiple restarts, which is worrying.
So for the past month I been having issues with logging in my computer. It would load my desktop slowly or freeze if I leave it the I see the mouse with the loading icon and it will load for an hour. I try restarting multi times. I also went into safe mode and it loads fine I disabled all my auto start up programs and tried logging in normally and still takes the same amount of time. This hasn't happened since a month or two ago.. I also tried turning off the fast boot thing. Also I want to try reinstalling windows ten how can I go about doing so if I don't own the disc becasue the upgrade offer. I can only use my pc in safe mode as its not starting up correctly.
I upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8 shortly after release, since then I've been experiencing frequent freezing with audio glitching . I experience the freezing regardless of what I'm doing, it freezes during gaming, watching videos, listening to music, typing, and when the pc is not in use. The strange thing is that I can unfreeze my computer by pressing any button on my keyboard.

I have been having an issue for a few weeks now where my computer will BSOD or freeze whenever I play certain games.
At first I thought it was a specific game (Xcom 2) that was doing it, but it has since started happening while playing other games that didn't have that issue in the past (One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 and Sonic Racing Transformed).
I included the file as requested on the posting instructions.
Note I ran the program today, but I havent had a crash since yesterday so I am unsure if the information will be there? If necessary I can run Xcom 2 for a while to force a crash, but for obvious reasons I would prefer not to if it isn't needed.
Never once had a blue screen or crash in the years I ran 7, which is pretty surprising given the stress I've put this thing under. After upgrading, my system's locking up constantly and I got my first BSOD last night. look through the dmp for me? Looks like it's a problem with one of the USB drivers, but I'm not sure where to go from there.
So, beginning the other day my computer has been having this problem where everything becomes unresponsive except for whatever I currently have open.
To explain: When I start up my computer, if I first open up an internet browser, I can no longer click on anything on the desktop or taskbar or anything. If I have multiple programs open, such as my browser, Skype, and Steam, only one of them will ever work. Clicking on any of the others does nothing, and Alt-Tabbing will take me to the different programs, but only one is ever responsive at a time.
A temporary fix (i.e. a 15 second fix) is to CTRL-ALT-Delete into Task Manager, which for some reason allows all the programs to once again work. However, whichever one I go into for more than 10 seconds, that one becomes the only one to work, and the problem persists.
I've done two system restores, but they solved nothing. I even updated to Windows 10 to try and fix it, but no luck. My hope is to not have to do a full factory reset.
My computer has always crashed frequently since I built it a few months ago. I finally did a clean Windows 10 install to see if that would sort it out but it didn't. It appears random. It crashes during resource intensive games, not resource intensive games, browsing, watching a video, or even just idling once every 2 to 6 hours of use. BSOD point their fingers at the RAM (which has tested fine), my graphics driver (the latest), and other things I'm not sure about.
in the last few days when playing games (BFBC2, BF3 and Sticky Bomb), my computer has been freezing at various points (sometimes within a minute, sometimes after 2 hours), and on reboot i get BSOD sometimes with different error messages such as "system_services_exception".
After the initial reboot BSOD i seem to sometimes get a 2nd BSOD such as "system_thread_unhandled_exception", "IRQOL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and other error messages. Occasionally after rebooting I get a freeze just on desktop screen, which never happens unless I have just had a freeze in game.
Before this started happening I have installed a new sound card and installed new drivers for my graphics card. I have since tried taking out the sound card (same problem seen) and also rolling back to the previous nvidia drivers with no avail.
I tried running memtest, but after 2 hours it was only over 50% so gave up for now, but at that point it hadn't seen any errors.
