BSOD :: Driver Verifier IOManager Violation Loop On Startup

Dec 30, 2015

I've been having nothing but problems with Windows 10 since I upgraded from windows 7. All the parts I've had worked on 7 just fine. I upgraded to 10 and I've been getting BSOD randomly and especially on the startups. I even would get BSOD just from the upgrade to 10. I had to turn off turbo core and cool and quiet so it would get through the installation. I noticed one of my HDD broke in the process. Didn't work on any computer I tested it on. Might be a coincidence as it's 5 years old. A few days after I finally got 10 to work. I put my computer in a new case with a new PSU. It would work fine for a week or two and then it would BSOD randomly. I had an issue with Google Chrome in that it would slowly lock my computer up everytime I opened it. I initially thought my SSD was going bad but it's only 2 years old. I stopped using Chrome and the problem stopped for awhile. Every once and awhile I would get a BSOD randomly or on a startup but it would always fix itself. Now I'm getting a new error that is the worst yet.

I use my computer for animations, rendering, gaming, browsing so it gets worked quite often but it doesn't crash during intense use. Now I'm completely stuck. I am getting this "driver verifier iomanager violation wdf01000.sys" BSOD everytime I boot up the computer. I don't remember installing anything new the last time I used it.

When I get in to safe mode, a BSOD System_exception_error will pop up in 5 minutes or so. Sometimes it will be a kmode error. I noticed sometimes I would get it just starting up in safe mode. I barely managed to get the dump file off of there.

I've attached text from the dump file : DANIEL-PC-Fri_01_01_2016_180310_03.zip

BSOD :: Restart Loop - Startup Freezes

Aug 28, 2015

I've been experiencing startup issues with my PC since last night. I go to startup and startup freezes. It seems that something is either stuck or freezing up on loading. Since it doesn't fully boot up, I have been hitting the reset button or holding the power button. It appears that this has made the problem worse. I went to startup this morning and am getting the same thing. Did the same steps of hitting reset and or holding the power button to shutdown. After this I am getting BSOD that keeps restarting and BSOD in a loop. The next boot loaded with repair options. I attempted to do startup repair and have been unsuccessful. How to get out of BSOD restart loop?

Just installed Windows 10 from Windows 7. Get a black screen without cursor after sign in. When boot up in safe mode, I get a WDF violation and automatic restart whenever I attempt to go to a recovery point or any other option. This creates an loop that I can't break. I am able to access my web browser (chrome) and Excel by pressing control/alt/delete and using the new file feature on the Task Manager.

BSOD :: DPC Watchdog Violation When Playing Sound

Sep 21, 2015

I recently updated my Sony VAIO from Windows 7 to Windows 10. For the last week or so, I have found when playing audio (on sites such as YouTube and Soundcloud), the sound cuts out and the stream pauses, and doesn't reload until I refresh the page. This happens several times on a daily basis. Occasionally, the sound cut-out directly leads to 'DPC Watchdog Violation' BSOD.

I am guessing it's my sound driver that's causing the issue? I am not sure though.

Infinite Loop Of Startup Repair

Nov 1, 2015

So i found a possible repair on fixing the current situation o the infinite loop from this forum [URL].... around step 13 it said"If any one of them are 0 bytes, then you should stop what you're doing now and seek an alternative method of recovering your system, because Windows cannot function with a 0-byte size registry hive ". I have 0 as my "RegBack" values and i can't find an alternate .

Startup Repair Loop - Blue Screen

Sep 29, 2015

I've been using Windows 10 for few weeks now and it's been really good.

8GB Ram
1 TB Hard Disc
Asus Motherboard
i5 processor

Used the PC as I would normally do and shut it down last night. Recently installed the latest update for Win 10 as I recall. Otherwise no new changes or installation to the system.

So now when I switched it on its showing Automatic Startup Repair and it diagnose the PC but fails every time and shows a blue screen of startup repair where I can:-

- reset PC (reinstall but this fails at 36%)
- system restore or image restore ( but can't use either)
- startup repair (doesn't work either)
- command prompt (tried sfc/scannow and they won't allow me to do so unless I restart but keeps getting same error.

Tried unplugging the hard disc etc but same old loop again.

Infinite Loop On Startup Trying To Repair System

Aug 25, 2015

This afternoon my wife was doing something on the computer, got stuck, and rebooted. Once she rebooted a screen popped up into a repair diagnostic screen and said it was diagnosing the error to repair it. Only problem was that it didn't repair anything and the options that were available were all tried and nothing fixed this infinite loop issue. Luckily, I backed up my system with Acronis TrueImage so as we're speaking my PC is being restored. Windows 10...

Factory Reset Failed 3 Times - Stuck On Startup Loop Now

Jan 24, 2016

I tried to reset my computer today after 3 years of using it without any sort of re-formatting, and all three times the reset got stuck on 65% before a blue screen appeared and said that an error occurred. It would then give me the options of either:

a) returning back to my windows 10, with nothing changed
b) Trying to reset again
c) advanced options.

I tried the reset 3 times, and after the last try failed I went to advanced options to look at other ways to approach the issue, such as checking if there were any restore points that I could restore to (which there were none).

After that didn't work, I clicked on the first option of just returning back to my windows 10, and that was when it would not start up anymore.

My computer now is stuck on a infinite loop of the launch screen of the ASUS logo, it flashes, then goes onto the second ASUS logo, and this is all it does, go round and round.

I tried to boot it on F8, F9 (the ASUS recovery button), and the 'delete' button. NOTHING WORKS.

I finally tried F2, which led me to the BIOS page? And I clicked on the boot tab and disabled the first boot configuration option, and still to no avail. It returned to looping, and when trying F8, F9, after disabling that BIOS option, and it still won't do anything but loop.

During startup automatic repair launches, restart ensues, that's the loop. The error mssg is WDF violation which it seems is related to iTunes. I just can't get out of this loop to do anything about it. I don't have a boot disc. Safe mode is what I would like, but that doesn't work.

Drivers/Hardware :: Can't Disable Driver Signature Enforcement On Advanced Startup

Feb 1, 2016

So this is my 14th or 15th time attempting to disable the driver signature enforcement so I can use motioninjoy to install my PS3 Controller driver to use for Rocket League. However, every time I run advanced startup, the process goes rather slowly before loading up my options. No worries at that point, but when I finally end up at the screen that has the options f1-f9, f7 being the disable driver enforcement, my computer immediately shuts off immediately after loading all of the options. Why it just shuts off... sometimes it shuts off just before it loads all of the options, but I have never been able to disable the driver signature enforcement thus far.

BSOD :: Put Into Sleep Mode And Now PC Is In Power Loop

Sep 1, 2015

I installed windows 10 about a week ago and all was working fine until I decided to try sleep mode a couple of days ago. I activated sleep mode but noticed after powering off that my PC was turning back on for a few seconds before powering back off in a loop. I didn't think to much of it and powered it off at the wall thinking that would clear any sleep errors. Well I've come back to use it after a couple days and it's still is stuck in a power loop of starting for 3 or 4 seconds before powering back off again in a continuous loop!

No chance to go into the bios, no sign of windows, just an endless power cycle!

BSOD :: Repair Loop Critical Process Died

Sep 4, 2015

Firstly, I can't generate the dumpfile as I can't access windows at all. I can't access it through any boot options including safe mode.

I've recently upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 through the microsoft updater.

The only major thing I did before this happened was installing the AMD CCC and rebooting, which caused this loop. I actually reinstalled it as switchable graphics wasn't working.

Things I've tried - 1. Automatic Repair - doesn't work. txt file in srt folder says the OS version is not compatible even if I use the Windows 10 usb.

2. chkdsk /f /r - it fixed a bunch of things, there seemed to be a lot of problems but now it says that there is no problems and no further action is required.

3. Fixing and rewriting bcd files - This was the interesting part because my computer some how changed the C: to D: and created a new C:. I've reassigned it so that original C: is renamed back to C: and removed the new C: partition which only had the boot files in it and reformed all the bcd files in original C:

4. I can't run sfc /scanow. It doesn't work with any commands I found over the internet.

5. Other things I found were that if I tried to reset the computer while keeping the files, it doesn't allow me to do it. Also, I found out that some of my drivers were missing by using devcon - graphics (both integrated intel, dedicated radeon m6740) some sound cards, single usb driver. Also when I installed thne integrated intel graphics driver through pnputil, when I restart the computer, the driver disappears and comes up with code 28 again.

I don't mind doing a fresh install but only if I am able to access my current hd files and create a backup, which hopefully should be possible because I can access the files through cmd prompt in WindowsRE.

BSOD :: OS Crashed And Now Stuck In Restart Loop With Blue Screen?

Aug 11, 2015

Last night I was watching a dvd on my desktop when all of a sudden a blue screen came up with a frowning face and said that "Your computer ran into a problem and needs to restart, its collecting info and will restart." It happened quickly so I didn't see what the error was but now my PC is stuck in a loop where it restarts and loads into an empty blue screen. It stays on that blue screen for a minute or so and then restarts again. I tried going into my BIOS or starting in safe mode but my PC won't go into them.

BSOD :: Constant Blue Screen Error And Restarting Loop

Feb 10, 2016

I recently purchased an intel NUC6i5SYH kit PC and fitted it with the following RAM and HDD.

Samsung 500GB 850 EVO M.2 SSD: Amazon.co.uk: Computers Accessories

HyperX Impact 16 GB 2133 MHz DDR4 SODIMM Memory Kit (2 x 8 GB): Amazon.co.uk: Computers Accessories

I installed a copy of windows 8 that I owned and then upgraded it to windows 10. It was working fine for a couple of weeks, and suddenly it had and error and is stuck rebooting itself with a blue screen error.

The error appears to be different every time but the ones I have seen repeated are "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR" and "MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION".

I can get into the BIOS and that's about it. I can't find a way to boot into safe mode and when I try and install a fresh copy of windows 10 via USB created from microsoft i still get a blue screen error after a couple of seconds.

BSOD :: Critical Process Died And Disk Repair Loop

Jan 21, 2016

I've been having problems recently with my laptop (Samsung 7 series) freezing. I then get a pop up saying "windows has stopped working", and it either unfreeze after a few minutes or I need to force close it.

This happened again yesterday, and wouldn't unfreeze so I force turned it off. Upon restarting, I got a BSOD with the message "critical_process_died", and the laptop restarted itself, only to BSOD again. Now when I turn it on it goes straight into disk repair for C:, saying it is scanning for and repairing errors. However, even after running overnight it never progressed beyond 9% on this, and now I cannot exit the loop without force closing the laptop - but when I reboot it goes straight back into disk checking.

A recent AVG scan was clean, and I cannot recall an update that happened yesterday. Unfortunately. Unfortunately I cannot load up the laptop to even check anything. Hopefully this is a software issue and I can get it fixed at a tech store, but I'm worried it could be a hardware problem (Internet suggested there was some memory corruption?).

BSOD :: Error After System Reset Stuck In Boot Loop

Aug 13, 2015

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 without a problem, but after a while I thought; why not do a clean install? I went ahead and tried to perform a clean install from the windows 10 settings, and chose all drives, and a quick reset.

It then started the process, after which it crashed with a BSOD telling me something went wrong and that it would restart. After that it kept restarting, sometimes with a BSOD, sometimes just freezing on the windows 10 logo. There were different BSOD errors each time it would crash, I can't remember all of them.

Some of them were along the lines of a driver stack overrun, some were telling me system32/winload didn't exist.

We tried a system restore from USB, but there was no difference. We tried going into the BIOS menu, sometimes it worked, sometimes it froze, and we made sure that the USB would be the first the PC would boot from. Still no difference.

At this point the PC just froze on the windows logo, still trying to initialize the system reset I think. I unplugged the drives and plugged them into my laptop to check what was wrong, and both drives were wiped, with nothing left, no hidden files.

Only with both drives unplugged, the PC would give me something different, an error saying that there is no operating system, which is obvious, so I don't think it's the PC, but windows that is generating this problem.

I tried booting from USB multiple times, with a system restore on it, a windows 10 installation on it, and a windows 8.1 installation on it, since that is what my PC started with.

Continuous BSOD (System Thread Exception Not Handled) Loop

Oct 15, 2015

Today, I finally went through with the free Windows 10 upgrade. After the upgrade concluded, my laptop worked fine for about an hour, after which time it crashed to the new and improved Windows 10 BSOD, informing me that they would restart my computer for me. The problem is that, after the initial ACER screen, in which I can press F2 to enter setup, a Windows Automatic Repair screen comes up, and shortly thereafter, crashes right back to the BSOD. It will do this 5 or 6 times before giving up and staying shut down. I cannot press F8 or Shift+F8 to enter safe mode at any point.

Now, when I press F2 to enter the set up screen, I am given the following 5 screens, in order:

As far as I can tell, with an admitted lack of expertise, there does not appear to be any way for me to access the BIOS to at least get to safe mode, and perhaps go back to a restore point.
