Ever since I upgraded to W10 Pro (from W8.1 Pro) my PC has started bluescreening when resuming from Sleep. MEMORY_MANAGEMENT is the most common one, and the only one that has occured so far after upgrade to Build 10586 (upgraded 2015-11-13).
BSODs KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (NTFS.sys), SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE occured before upgrade to Build 10586, and might happen again. Minidumps for these disappeared during upgrade to latest W10 build
BIOS is the latest one. Ran Memtest86+ yesterday, 8 passes with all 11 tests, no errors found. Windows Memory Diagnostics didn't find anything either.

I'm running an XPS 15 with a 4k LCD. Windows 10 recommends 200% DPI scaling on my display, but that is just a little to high for me. I'm much more comfortable at 150% or 175%. 200% is just too large and I lose the advantage of a high resolution display.
What I find is that when I'm using the "Recommended" scaling option of 200%, everything works normally, but when I scale to something smaller like 150% I get some strange things happening. It only seems to happen when resuming from sleep.
When I resume from sleep, some apps (and it seems to be Microsoft apps in particular) get messed up. It starts with the lock screen. I resume from sleep and my lock screen image is the same size it would be if it were scaled at the "recommended" 200% level, but it is overlaid on top of my actual password screen which is displayed at the configured 150%. That means that there is space outside the lock screen image that is visible from behind it. It looks really weird.
Secondly, Outlook, Word, OneNote, etc do the same. The window THINKS it is still full screen, but it is only using 75% of the screen. If I un-dock it from full screen and dock it back, it fills the screen properly, but it wont do it on its own. It is almost as if it wants to be scaled at 200% and that is what it defaults to after resuming from sleep. I have to remind the application that it should be viewed at the configured 150%.

Windows Store apps close sometimes when resuming from sleep? It doesn't happen all of the time, but on my Lenovo Yoga 2 pro, its often enough to notice. Its probably supposed to be similar to how Windows 8 would tombstone apps, but this seems a little more aggressive since its not suspending them . Its most annoying when Edge shuts down because its closing all of the tabs too and doesn't resume them when its reopened.

This also happened with Windows 8.x but it persisted after I upgraded to Windows 10.
It's an older machine with limited support, but I'd like to try and use it if I can. It's a tank of a laptop.

I have all the power settings set to stay active, but the computer goes into sleep or hibernation (I do not know which) after being idle for around 20 minutes.

I put my PC to sleep and when I wake it up, I'm getting no display on my monitors although the PC itself wakes up. I reboot the computer and encounter a BSOD "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (nvlddmkm.sys)"
I recently updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Nvidia drivers have been updated as well.
Uploaded zip file.

while trying to wake up my PC from sleep mode. I have had this configuration for 3-4 weeks and it's been 100% stable. I am just wondering if there is some driver that caused this BSOD to pop up when I was trying to wake up my PC. Hardware-wise, I only installed a new fan 3-4 days ago, and that is pretty much it. The blue screen message stated that it was caused by MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, Error number 0x0000001a. It seems that it was caused by driver ntoskrnl.exe +14e2e0.
I installed new Geforce Drivers yesterday as well as some Logitech drivers for their GT steering wheel dated 2010. Perhaps they are causing a conflict with something.

I had this problem when Windows 8 was new (but never had it with 8.1) and now it looks like it is back with W10.
My PC was fine up until about 2 days ago, it would go into hybrid sleep and wake with no problems but now every time I try to wake my PC the LED's, mouse and keyboard turn on but then it crashes and reboots.
I tried re-installing drivers, un-installed them, downloading them from the manufacturers websites instead of windows update but the problem remains.
I think I've narrowed down where the problem comes from and it appears to be the hybrid sleep option, disabling it and just using sleep works as expected, but if I try to use hybrid sleep....boom it happens again. I also tried enabling hibernation and that also crashes when waking up, so I assume there is a problem with the hibernation feature.

Had this problem now since installing Windows 10 for the first time. Have re-installed 10+ times, from new downloaded ISO's with hash tag checks just to make sure. Have bought all new hardware as well; CPU, PSU, Mainboard, Computer case, CPU Fan (3 of them), problem still persists, is obviously a Windows 10 problem.
CPU Fan slows to almost halt after waking up from sleep/hibernation.

Ever since I upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 my laptop (Satellite A505 S6005) will go into sleep mode without issue but refuses to wake up up. I have to do a hard power down in order for it to turn off. I've checked my power settings and everything is the same as it was for Win 7.
I found online that it seems to be a possible issue with the Intel Management Engine Interface not being the right version. I'm currently on driver version 6.0.0.1179. I've tried to upgrade it to a new version but Windows states I have the best version for my PC. Have also tried via Toshiba and Intel sites for a new version with no success. How to get a new driver version?

I use desktop PC x64 based amd motherboard.Upgraded from windows 7 -takes longer than usual but sucessfully. My boy was happy because nothing changed in programs and games he use to play. All fine few days than once in the morning found a massage on start up "Resume from hibernation" I was waiting for resume for a while than hour than day and nothin happen.
Next day have to do some tries to fix.Looks on forums for similar problems...someone mantioned about ram slots to clean from dust and i tried that but still the same.In opened PC i tried ti figure out what else could be if everything in hardware is just fine.Than look for graphic card -pull it out and again in.And still nothing happened.Than found some older graphic card with lower values and restarted. On restart it appears on blank screen that graphic card is beiing updated and than bingo! windows continue to install updates and after several restarts it was all done.Got it back and problem solved.
Tried to disable automatic updates on settings but read about that windows 10 does not have option to disable that, rather only ask user to automatically or not to install updates.I do that what i could.Still that not convince me to keep win10 rather to roll out to previous version-but my boy was yelling on me to not to lose all stages in games and OK.
nEXT morning same.resume from hibernation.ok i said now i know what to do-removed graphic and put older one.And this time there were no update for graphic just continue to resume from hibernation Now i removed that older one with better one from my other pc with higher value graphic card--and after restart there were also no updates in bios and continue to "resume from hibernation" than i tried something else.Assuming that is windows placed on hard disc -remove that hard disc and plug it new one.
That for god sake it still resuming in light blue screen from hibernation.I mean which part remember that process if not hard disc. To not talk about that dvd disc rom is disabled and bios is disabled and only keys works on keyboard is ctrl+alt +del to restart. And that was the time was my pc was virtually died allthough each peace of hardware is 100% healthy.Last thing i remove all pieces from its slots and motherboard too.Leave it through the night and again in the morning plug it all.And again technically works fine but message still resuming from hibernate.

My Asus T-100 hybrid tablet/laptop won't wake up from hibernation. It tells me to swipe to shut down computer and nothing happens. I ran down the battery, plugged in and then recharged. It's still stuck on hibernate and won't let me into windows at all.

A few days ago, my PC (Lenovo PC, AMD A10 processor) was working completely fine. But then, I logged on and found that all my services had been disabled. After changing them all back to "Automatic", every time I woke my PC up from Sleep mode, it gave me the BSOD (error: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED). Recently, and more worryingly, it now sometimes takes me to the same BSOD on startup, just atfer I have logged on.
(It's my only PC, so it's quite urgent as it constantly disrupts my work)

I'm getting a blue screen advising "ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY" a couple of seconds after my computer wakes from sleep mode. It's not sporadic as it happens every time.
I've downloaded the log collector and attached the ZIP file to this post. First time poster so I hope I've done it correctly!

I have a problem with my Asus S56C, I have frequent BSODs, but they only occur after few seconds or few minutes out of the Stand By mode. It does not happen after restarting restarting or turning on the PC. I have already tested the RAM and Hard Drives. Updating to Win 8.1 and then 10 did not change the problem or the way it happens. Since it might be a driver problem, I have tried to play a little bit with Driver Verifier but the drivers are so many that I was not able to identify only one and then I stopped because it was really too time consuming. I updated all thedrivers manually from the Control Panel, but it did not change anything. For the rest the computer is fine, I sent it to the ASUS Service when was still under warranty and they replaced RAM, HD, DVD-ROM, but not the 24 Gb SSD. It also came back with a clean Windows 8 but it had the same problem after installing just Avast, Chrome and Mozilla (I have already uninstalled Avast and no improvements).

I have BSODs after waking my computer up. Windows 10 upgraded from Windows 8.1. Waking from hibernate generates Kernel_Security_Check_Failure. Waking from sleep generates mostly IRQ NOT EQUAL.

With my new build computer, I am having serious problems with the sleep function. This was an upgrade from 8.1.
After attempting to wake up from sleep with an input, either a) the screen remains black, or b) the desktop is visible but soon after, everything freezes and no input is possible at all requiring a manual reset. The computer turns on and wakes up (fan and light).
Right now I've turned sleep off, but I'd like to have it working properly.
I have downloaded all the latest drivers from Asus and Nvidia, including chipset, LAN, Video, latest Bios, etc.
Specs:
Xeon 1650 v3
Asus X99 WS-E motherboard
32GB ECC RAM
Nvidia GTX 950
Intel 750 SSD M.2 Nvme 450gb
Samsung 850 Pro 1 TB
Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard
Asus 4k HDMI 2.0 monitor

ASUS UX303LN user. Before 3 days, my laptop started refusing to wake up from sleep properly, instead it reboots from a clean state, It is as if I am pressing an invisible reset button that starts the computer from scratch.
The first time this occured, I managed to catch a glimpse of a BSOD with a sad face, followed by a restart (unfortunately I have not managed to note down the message). After that every time I do the same there is no BSOD, the laptop just shows the BIOS posting and then it loads Windows. Event Viewer shows the same Error 41 after every reboot. Note that before this problem started to occur, my laptop barely had to start from scratch (every time I was done with working I was just closing the lid, returning in a functioning environment) for a good 2 years. I had to reboot maybe once/twice a month for the necessary updates.
Some more info:
-After crashing, the computer does NOT generate a memory dump, no matter what. I know how to setup a memory dump, however for the last 50 crashes it does not. I have tried selecting minidump instead of automatic dump without a result (the last dump was 3 weeks back for another reason). Disabling automatic restart after crash does not work either.
-The problem started 2 days after receiving the notorious KB3140743 update (that came together with KB3139907). Uninstalling the first did not work, the second cannot be uninstalled.
-Trying to alleviate the problem, I thought of changing to hibernate instead of sleep when I close the lid/ the system goes idle. For that I had to reenable hibernation (powercfg /h on) which I had disabled because I have not used it. It worked ONCE, just the first time, every other time the result is the same as with sleeping (reboot and error 41). Enabling/disabling Hybrid Sleep did not work either)
-Windows memory diagnostics shows no errors, SMART also shows no errors for the SSD
What I have tried (and failed) so far:
-Reverting KB3140743
-Updating/reverting display drivers for the 2 GPUs (intel 4400/geforce 840m)
-Updating/reverting/completely disabling intel 7260 wifi/bluetooth drivers (which are known to be problematic)
-Changing network card's "keep device awake" options
-Updating intel DPTF drivers (after seeing that they post some not critical errors in the event viewer)
-Disabling Throttlestop (a tool to manage the CPU's behaviour)
-Changing power schemes
-Tinkering with different SSD options (indexing/virtual memory etc)

a few days ago I updated my 64 bit windows 7 ultimate to windows 10 pro, and ever since then whenever I put the PC to sleep and try to wake it the PC tries to start but the screen remains black and after a while a BSOD will appear (now with a sad face on it... amusing...) stating driver_power_state_failure, it happens consistently and only under those circumstances (at least for now) I tried running the driver verifier (as explained on other posts BSOD on sleep, DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE - Windows 10 Forums) and followed the tenforums tutorial, but nothing in particular happened
I use the sleep function a lot and I cant have it like this.
