View 1 RepliesBasically what happens is, I get BSOD errors when my computer is idle after about 5-10 min, pretty consistantly. It doesn't happen after a windows complete re-install for about a week (give or take) then I start seeing symptoms again. Ive also been getting, what seems to be the same 3, not in ay particular order.
They are: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXEMPTION, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, and PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. After doing a lot of homework and trial and error (not installing Norton Internet Security, Not updating Chipset Drivers...etc) ive resulted to the professionals. FYI Ive ran MEMTEST 86 at least 8 cycles with no errors.
My debug codes are attached to the post.
I am running windows 10 and I've been getting these blue screen errors .. It usually happens when my computer is left idle for over 10-20 mins.. It displays a blue screen and then restarts. At first i had no clue . Later i checked the minidump folder and i found those BSOD log files. I've uploaded my system zip file as per the instructions. Before i used to get these errors while playing games but now they are even more frequent. As soon i leave my pc idle or doing some work and im away i encounter this bsod.
View 5 RepliesThe computer seems very stable right up until I let it go idle. After 4 minutes I get the REGISTRY_ERROR bsod. The system is not over clocked. CPU temps are low. Memtest86(+) runs fine for 8 passes with 0 errors. Disabling the two .NET tasks that start on idle in Task Scheduler made no difference (as per the post with a similar issue). CHKDSK /R requires a reboot and no messages are present on the screen while running but there is no log file generated in Event Viewer / logfiles / application. I ran sfc /scannow and got errors. A reboot and retry did not correct the error. I ran Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and it successfully repaired the system. Subsequent scans with SCF indicate no issues or problems. Not sure if it is relevant but the system has a Samsung 950 SSD as the C drive.
View 9 RepliesAfter leaving my computer alone for a few minutes my computer restarts with a REGISTRY_ERROR BSOD. I have disabled ".NET Framework NGEN v4.0.30319 Critical" and ".NET Framework NGEN v4.0.30319 64 Critical" and also ran sfc/scannow with no integrity violation. I uninstalled and reinstalled my graphics drivers and also reseated the card.

This is a machine I built from scratch about six months ago. Upgraded to Windows 10 about two months ago. I keep getting very random crashes, sometimes once a week, some times more. Yesterday it happened twice.
It seems to only happen when the computer is unattended for a while. I'll have it on overnight and in the morning I have a black screen, sometimes with only the mouse cursor present.
As kind of a side issue, when turn it off then reboot, I have to hit F2 to get into the ASUS BIOS. Somehow the BIOS seems to change on it's own and drops the Patriot Blaze SSD from the boot path, so I have to hit F8, highlight Patriot Blaze, then it boots normally. In the past, I thought I fixed this boot issue by flashing the latest BIOS. It worked for a while and boots off the SSD, then after a week or two suddenly the SSD is dropped from the boot path.
There weren't any minidump files, so I am attaching the text of the Windows MEMORY file, which I got using Windows WinDbg (X64).

Problem with PC coming on during the night? (W10) I get up in the am and it's running, when I turned it off the night before! I have resorted to switching it off at the back to prevent this from happening.
My friend said to see the scheduler which I had a look at to switch off any updates that was due to update during the early morning. Also had a look in my bios for wake on Lan, but could actually see where that setting was.
PC wakes every night at 11:36. I have disabled the wake for anything feature and I cannot figure this out. Based on settings its not supposed to wake up. Is there something buried that I need to change or is this just a win 10 flaw?
View 1 RepliesMy pc used to be on windows 8.1 and I never had this problem. Ever since I installed windows 10 I have noticed that it has been randomly starting up. I shut it down and then wake up the next day finding that it had randomly turned on during the night. It shows the log in page as usual with no signs of being locked, standby or anything else. it shows as if i shut it down and turned it back on again manually but i haven't. This only started to happen after I updated windows 8.1 to 10 so i dont think it has anything to do with the motherboard.
View 1 RepliesEach morning when I wake up, my computer is on, rather than in sleep mode, as I left it. I have disabled the power of the mouse to wake it.
View 9 RepliesI updated to W10 and have had no problems and this one really isn't a big deal but it's got my OCD going. I have sleep set after 25 minutes and that seems to work fine. It comes out of sleep pretty well too. But, it seems that ovenight, the system shuts down on it's own.
I've looked at the logs and scheduler and it seems that the UpdateOrchestrator was set at 3:30 am so I changed that time to 6:30 PM and the system turned off overnight again.
So, I left it awake one night and it did not shut off. Tried again the next night and it turned off. I'm going to try to remove the schedule entirely but from what I've read over the last few weeks, it will create a new task again.
What UpdateOrchestrator really does despite all my googling and don't have this problem on any other PC so I'm wondering if it has to do with hardware. WhoCrashed does not report any crashes at all. Nor do the logs tell me anything.
I'm having a problem with windows 10 randomly waking up in the middle of the night and restarting to do updates. How do I disable this?
View 1 RepliesI put my PC to sleep and when I wake it up, I'm getting no display on my monitors although the PC itself wakes up. I reboot the computer and encounter a BSOD "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (nvlddmkm.sys)"
I recently updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Nvidia drivers have been updated as well.
Uploaded zip file.
Have had home builds for years with no big issues before windows 8.1 and now windows 10. I thought i had issues with memory or graphic card on my previous computer so i ended up buying new parts for a new build.
But nothing changed. Not so frequent as before but up to several times a day my computers gets an BSOD. I must say it is random for me what i am doing while this happens.
Different messages before restarting. The 2 last one while trying to create this thread and making the dump zip file was Kernel check failure and DPC watchdog violation.

This is the first BSOD after I installed Windows 10 a few days ago. I suspended the system (closed the laptop), and when I opened it nothing weird happened. But, after a few minutes, I got the BSOD.
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000c2 (0x0000000000000007, 0x0000000000001254, 0x0000000000000000, 0xffffc0002b3a2010.
I got a custom built pc for christmas and it has been getting BSOD's since it was built and they have only been happening on cold boots, and the file that is having problems is ntoskrnl.
View 9 RepliesI cannot start Windows my laptop. I can get into safe mode. I've tried to system restore and clean boot. I have tried verifier which gives the error iastor.sys
Attached are the zip files.

I recently bought a HP Probook and within days I started getting BSOD - I had it replaced by HP and the same model replacement is now also giving BSOD. I deliberately didn't install anything on it apart from Chrome. I'm getting BSOD all the time now when browsing - it doesn't matter which browser I use. I have the minidump files but don't know how to read them. I've uploaded them...
View 2 RepliesHave tried finding a solution on the internet but so far no luck.. I keep getting BSOD when downloading (and only when downloading) files. L1C63x64.sys ...I have attached the dump files.
Everything seems to point at my network adapter driver. Which is from Atheros. Alas they do not have drivers for Windows 10. Anything I can do here? I already tried driver verifier and it doesn't seem to be a 3rd party problem. Also did a memory check and it's not that either..
Uploaded the correct zip ....
I was playing Skyforge for a couple hours. I had some programs running in the back like firefox, skype, steam etc. I was reading something through firefox and as soon as I tabbed back into Skyforge the BSOD occurred.
I was running Windows 7 Home Premium before and ever since I upgraded to Win 10 I've been missing 3 drivers of Unknown Devices. I don't know if this is related to the BSOD though.

When I am viewing webpages with video's playing I am getting the odd BSD with the Video scheduler internal error, it happens roughly every other day but yesterday it happened twice.
My video card is a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 2GB PCI-Express 3.0 HDMI OC, my motherboard and CPU are now 7 years old and well over due renewing which I plan to do next year, my video driver is up to date as are other drivers except some of the motherboard drivers which are no longer available.
I have attached my dump files as per the sticky ....
while trying to wake up my PC from sleep mode. I have had this configuration for 3-4 weeks and it's been 100% stable. I am just wondering if there is some driver that caused this BSOD to pop up when I was trying to wake up my PC. Hardware-wise, I only installed a new fan 3-4 days ago, and that is pretty much it. The blue screen message stated that it was caused by MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, Error number 0x0000001a. It seems that it was caused by driver ntoskrnl.exe +14e2e0.
I installed new Geforce Drivers yesterday as well as some Logitech drivers for their GT steering wheel dated 2010. Perhaps they are causing a conflict with something.
As of lately, my computer will crash randomly while playing mostly graphically intensive games. I can do normal things on my PC all day long and play low end games with pretty much no problem. As soon as I play GTA 5, BF4, or something of that graphic capability the application will crash. Sometimes within a few minutes, but mostly within a 15-30 min period.
Quite frequently, the Runescape Client (queue jokes) window will randomly close too. I kind of feel like this is the same issue going on. However, with this being much less graphically intense, it happens less frequently or takes longer for a crash to occur.
99% of the time I get the same 0xC0000005 error (means the program has attempted to access memory that it shouldn't. ), on rare occasions it will BSOD with a 1A MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error or a 4E PFN_LIST_CORRUPT.
This has become extremely annoying and I don't quite know where to pinpoint the problem, and all of these seem to be memory related issues. Due to the fact that it mostly happens with graphically intense games, I want to point my finger at my video card.
I thought about stress testing my video card to see if it will crash again. I don't really know how to strictly test the memory of a video card, but that was my best guess. Below are the troubleshooting tips I have tried, as well as links to pictures from Event Viewer, Bluescreenview, and debug reports from WinDBG for the 1A and 4E errors are attached.
Troubleshooting steps I have done are:
Tried reverting back to the last "most stable" driver for my GPU (Clean Install)Updated video drivers to the latest version (Clean install)Checked my SSD for errors using software from the vendor (Don't believe this is an issue because two games are on different disks, and the same thing happens)Checked my RAM with memtest86 for 24 hours (Did this twice now)Scanned for malware, no threats foundUsed CCleaner to clean crap off of my computerEnsured Windows was fully up-to-date with the latest critical and optional patches.
Having issues with a 0x3b on Windows 10. I have an Acer Aspire that crashes randomly, maybe once every 24-48 hours.
I think it is the 0x3b causing the issue but I have placed my mini memory dump file online if any experts could have a look at it. Dropbox - 010816-25437-01.dmp
I upgraded my OS to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 some months ago. After some weeks I started to have "Critical Process Died" error very often. I couldn't figure out why. I've attached the relevant *.dmp files.
