Basically what happens is, I get BSOD errors when my computer is idle after about 5-10 min, pretty consistantly. It doesn't happen after a windows complete re-install for about a week (give or take) then I start seeing symptoms again. Ive also been getting, what seems to be the same 3, not in ay particular order.
They are: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXEMPTION, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, and PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. After doing a lot of homework and trial and error (not installing Norton Internet Security, Not updating Chipset Drivers...etc) ive resulted to the professionals. FYI Ive ran MEMTEST 86 at least 8 cycles with no errors.
The computer seems very stable right up until I let it go idle. After 4 minutes I get the REGISTRY_ERROR bsod. The system is not over clocked. CPU temps are low. Memtest86(+) runs fine for 8 passes with 0 errors. Disabling the two .NET tasks that start on idle in Task Scheduler made no difference (as per the post with a similar issue). CHKDSK /R requires a reboot and no messages are present on the screen while running but there is no log file generated in Event Viewer / logfiles / application. I ran sfc /scannow and got errors. A reboot and retry did not correct the error. I ran Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and it successfully repaired the system. Subsequent scans with SCF indicate no issues or problems. Not sure if it is relevant but the system has a Samsung 950 SSD as the C drive.
After leaving my computer alone for a few minutes my computer restarts with a REGISTRY_ERROR BSOD. I have disabled ".NET Framework NGEN v4.0.30319 Critical" and ".NET Framework NGEN v4.0.30319 64 Critical" and also ran sfc/scannow with no integrity violation. I uninstalled and reinstalled my graphics drivers and also reseated the card.
I am running windows 10 and I've been getting these blue screen errors .. It usually happens when my computer is left idle for over 10-20 mins.. It displays a blue screen and then restarts. At first i had no clue . Later i checked the minidump folder and i found those BSOD log files. I've uploaded my system zip file as per the instructions. Before i used to get these errors while playing games but now they are even more frequent. As soon i leave my pc idle or doing some work and im away i encounter this bsod.
I am trying to create a kiosk like experience with a win 10 touchscreen PC, where after X# of minutes, it will close and restart Chrome, so that any open tabs will close, and Chrome will open to the default home page. So the effect would be a screensaver starts after X minutes, and in the background Chrome restarts and opens the default page which is a menu screen. When someone touches the screen, the default home screen in Chrome would be revealed.
I looked into Task Scheduler, which is new to me, but I did not see anyway to close or restart an application. Plus under events I am not seeing the idle event as an action that can trigger new actions.
Every time i leave my computer idle for 5 minutes, disk defragmenting starts acting up. It never did this on Windows 7, and its very annoying. This causes my fan to speed up and it stays that way until i give it some input.
I always put my computer to sleep when I'm done using it, and would rather defragment manually. I want to turn this 5 minute defragging off, but how?
This is a machine I built from scratch about six months ago. Upgraded to Windows 10 about two months ago. I keep getting very random crashes, sometimes once a week, some times more. Yesterday it happened twice.
It seems to only happen when the computer is unattended for a while. I'll have it on overnight and in the morning I have a black screen, sometimes with only the mouse cursor present.
As kind of a side issue, when turn it off then reboot, I have to hit F2 to get into the ASUS BIOS. Somehow the BIOS seems to change on it's own and drops the Patriot Blaze SSD from the boot path, so I have to hit F8, highlight Patriot Blaze, then it boots normally. In the past, I thought I fixed this boot issue by flashing the latest BIOS. It worked for a while and boots off the SSD, then after a week or two suddenly the SSD is dropped from the boot path.
There weren't any minidump files, so I am attaching the text of the Windows MEMORY file, which I got using Windows WinDbg (X64).
My PC is crashing nearly every 30min but Bluescreen view has only showed a problem with an USB driver which I already updated and now Bluescreen view doesn't log anymore Bluescreens but my System is still crashing.
My PC is Overclocked and has a 750w power supply.
I already tried reinstalling Windows 10 but it didn't work.
My two and a half year old pc, after switching graphic card, started to get BSOD about two weeks ago, saying Whea uncorrectable error. I did some research, and tried resetting CMOS, updating BIOS, and memtest86 to see if my rams are done. I also used some intel tools to check if my cpu has problem, but there was no signs. I thought about updating my drivers, but nothing worked. I did not oc my cpu, and it was at safe temperature while gaming, around 50-65.
I got really confused, so I decided to reinstall os, I cleaned out everything with a fresh install. My pc worked well with no BSOD for a week. I did not copy any of my backup files on my external hard drive to the reinstalled pc, and now while I was playing game(assassin's creed syndicate this time) , it happens again, still WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR. I am confused that it does not seem like driver or software issues, so would it be hardware issues?
How to read dump files or anything and can't seem to solve it.
I run Win10 under Parallels at MacBook. Few days ago it started to crash about 30 minutes after boot. I don't need to do anything, just wait and it will die. Usually it's REGISTRY_ERROR, but sometimes another error.
sfc shows some errors, but they don't look dangerous.
I've talked to Parallels guys and they claim it's Windows issue, not VM. Checked Win7 VM and works fine.
I am having this problem with my computer, where I am getting random BSOD's when i have been playing any game for about 5-10 minutes. The BSOD is either the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or the APC_INDEX_MISMATCH
I have attached my debug files here : debug-DESKTOP-DQ0658B-23-09-2015_190058,20.zip
My computer started to crash every X random minutes,It started yesterday. I didn't install or uninstall anything.Using "Who crashed", it claims that something is wrong with my Intel Gigabit Ethernet card. I've update it to the latest available from Intel, but the problem persists.
I have been monitoring for several weeks to try and find a pattern. After startup (fresh) or from sleep by Pc works fine for a several minutes or hours then just freezes!! I thought it was the sleep issue but now i notice it does it from a fresh start.
I have also tried using different browsers no different. It can happen when dragging to another monitor but it also happens when doing nothing it just freezes the mouse. I cannot recover i cannot activate Task Manager. I have reboot via pc power button.
I have latest drivers i think also Event viewer report not shutting down properly not sure if that is the crash or what. I keep loosing lots of work I am on.
I put my PC to sleep and when I wake it up, I'm getting no display on my monitors although the PC itself wakes up. I reboot the computer and encounter a BSOD "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (nvlddmkm.sys)"
I recently updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Nvidia drivers have been updated as well.
Have had home builds for years with no big issues before windows 8.1 and now windows 10. I thought i had issues with memory or graphic card on my previous computer so i ended up buying new parts for a new build.
But nothing changed. Not so frequent as before but up to several times a day my computers gets an BSOD. I must say it is random for me what i am doing while this happens.
Different messages before restarting. The 2 last one while trying to create this thread and making the dump zip file was Kernel check failure and DPC watchdog violation.
This is the first BSOD after I installed Windows 10 a few days ago. I suspended the system (closed the laptop), and when I opened it nothing weird happened. But, after a few minutes, I got the BSOD.
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000c2 (0x0000000000000007, 0x0000000000001254, 0x0000000000000000, 0xffffc0002b3a2010.
I got a custom built pc for christmas and it has been getting BSOD's since it was built and they have only been happening on cold boots, and the file that is having problems is ntoskrnl.
I cannot start Windows my laptop. I can get into safe mode. I've tried to system restore and clean boot. I have tried verifier which gives the error iastor.sys
I recently bought a HP Probook and within days I started getting BSOD - I had it replaced by HP and the same model replacement is now also giving BSOD. I deliberately didn't install anything on it apart from Chrome. I'm getting BSOD all the time now when browsing - it doesn't matter which browser I use. I have the minidump files but don't know how to read them. I've uploaded them...
