BSOD :: Random Startups - Irql Not Less Or Equal
Nov 10, 2015
Sometimes I get the BSOD saying irql not less or equal. Sometimes I can restart it and it will boot normal. Sometimes it takes 20 times of restarting to finally go through. Not sure why it is happening but its not all the time and might go a month or two without it happening.
I have attached the debug.

Windows 10 OS 64 bit

I've been having this problem for a while now, random BSODs giving the IRQL not less or equal message. It happens at random times, and doesn't seem to be tied to any particular action.

Brand new Alienware 17 R3 and I get this BSOD probably 70% of the time on system start, restart, or awake from sleep. It only occurs once, after it has occurred it will never happen a second time in a row. All it says is the whole "IRQL Not Less OR Equal" thing, then reboots. I have followed the instructions in the sticky and attached the corresponding zip file.
I have already updated several things from the Dell site directly after trying some google research on the subject. In the last 24 hours I have updated the BIOS, sound drivers, touchpad drivers, video drivers (both onboard and for the 980M.) I also updated the wifi and LAN drivers from the Dell support site about a week ago shortly after getting the machine.

The computer is a Acer Aspire E15 with 4gb RAM and Amd E2 Chip. It was originally running Windows 8.1 but I recently updated to windows 10 and I got the Irql not less or equal bsod. I can't access anything because it just goes back to the bsod.

Below is a Dropbox link to the minidumps from today. I use this machine to run my plex server and marketing software. I keep getting BSOD and cant seem to isolate the problem. A few of them seem to be related to Kaspersky.
I run high bandwidth intense programs with a bunch of threads (5,000+).
They system has 2 xenon e5506 with 32gb ram, CPU usage can sometimes hit the 100% mark for a few minutes but typical is stable around 60%. I recently downloaded and updated all drives/bios. I'm not sure if its too much processing at once that is causing the crashes, or if its a driver issues. Error I always get is IRQL related.

I have recently upgrading to windows 10 on a fairly new machine, after doing so I have had regular BSOD (IRQL unexpected error), there doesn't seem to be much connection between them other than watching videos whilst online. When I got the first one I read a bug fix online which said to fix it either revert back to my previous OS (windows 8) or reinstall windows 10. I did the later thinking I could always revert back if that didn't work but alas it has now gotten rid of that option and the problem still persisted. I downloaded bluescreen view to work out that it was a problem with nwifi.sys driver, and so updated my wifi driver accordingly but the problem still persists.
I hopefully have attached the associated info dump.

I have this issue for about a month already. Starting with Windows 7 I thought the problem would resolve itself once I switched over to Windows 10. Sadly I was mistaken, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED BSOD occur every day when I startup my computer and try to watch a stream or video. After the computer rebooted it just crashes again (sometimes after I try to watch a stream/video and sometimes it freezes when I just open Google Chrome). It takes me 2-4 reboots every time until I can do anything on my computer.

I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 home last week. However, today, while I was playing with my PS4, my PC randomly got 2 BSOD with in 3 minutes time frame. I was not using my PC. It was turned on, idling. After the first BSOD, the PC restarted and within 3 min another BSOD.I ran Memtest and Prime95, and played GTA 5 without any failures.

I'm having a lot of issues with a system I recently assembled. Apps like Word, Outlook and Firefox are randomly crashing, BSODs from time to time, and the PC sometimes crashes directly after sleep-mode.
I've tried the following:
-clean install
-updating bios
-replacing mobo
-replacing psu
-ran memtest; no errors
-removed nvidia card, just onboard graphics; no difference

I have random freeze and BSOD with various errors.
dumps as requested by stickythread are attached.
The problem was caused by the motherboard (BIOS P1.90), it seems that does not support 8X4GB ram modules. I have removed 4 modules and the problem has disappeared. I do not think that the memory modules are defective because memtest found no error.

I was previously running Windows 7 with no issues but then upgraded to Windows 8 and later 8.1. With both of these versions I got random BSOD crashes every now and then. I upgraded to Windows 10 but so far I'm run into the same issues.
The BSOD messages are not always the same e.g. the last one i got was MEMORY_MANAGEMENT but other times I've gotten FAULTY_HARDWARE_CORRUPTED_PAGE, DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION etc.
I've been strongly suspecting a driver so I upgraded every single driver manually as well as using driver upgrade software but that hasn't worked. The last time I installed Windows 10 I made sure to only load minimal drivers and run it for about a month and in that time I didn't get any crash. As soon as I installed all the drivers for all my peripherals, this started happening again. I may be off here but that's my assumption.
In any case I've attached the log from the crash collector.

For the last month or so I have had random BSOD and rebooting instances. It doesn't seem to be related to any specific program, as far as i can tell. I have run diagnostics on my memory, cpu, and I have do a fresh install of my graphics drivers.

I've been getting random crashes and I have not been able to find any pattern. The way the crashes work is this. The computer doesn't go straight to a BSOD. The first thing I usually notice is the internet stops working. Webpages seem to make an attempt to refresh but never actually will load. It also becomes impossible to open new windows. Eventually I can't close windows or programs. Then finally it just freezes. I usually restart when I notice webpages stop loading because I know what is going to happen.
These crashes don't seem to happen during anything specifically but they do seem to be happening more frequently so it's becoming more of an annoyance. I've attached the folder from the DM Log Collector as well as some files from the event viewer.

Really having some annoying problems ever since I upgraded from Windows 7 pro x64 to Windows 10 pro x64. I play a variety of video games but most recently I've been playing Diablo 3 and for some reason my computer randomly crashes and restarts in the middle of playing. One of my screens goes black (main monitor) and the other usually goes some different color. This may happen with other games but I haven't played many of my other games recently. This has never happened prior to me upgrading to windows 10. I thought perhaps that it was my video drivers so i ran Display Driver Uninstaller and downloaded the latest driver for my GTX 570 Hd.
It will still happening so i thought it was the CPU (3770k) overheating. I replaced the Thermal paste which was almost gone and thought that would be the end of the issue but it is still happening. I reinstalled Diablo 3 along with the battle.net app and still not change. I can a SFC /scannow and that did find and repair some files and i also did a check disk but everything came back clean with that. I then replaced my 8 year old PSU for a new one today and it still happens. For a while, i was not seeing anything in event viewer but a few minutes ago it crashed again so when I looked in Event viewer i found a few Windows error reporting that mentioned BSOD. I read the posting instructions and have run the Dm log collector.

I have been encountering random game crashes and different BSOD messages for the past month at a high rate. This mainly happens when playing 'Smite' but happens frequently with other games and sometimes when browsing on Chrome. DARKYODK-28_10_2015_122301_55.zip

I am usually pretty self sufficient when it comes to building/troubleshooting computers, but i am at a complete loss on this one.
So, I rebuilt a PC for a friend with a bunch of new parts and it started crashing about a week after he took it home (specs below). At first it was crashing ALL the time...playing games, watching twitch, anything. It would just randomly do a hard reset and restart normally without any sort of error codes, pop-ups, or even a bsod. I really mean random too, i desperately tried finding some consistency to the problem, but no luck on that.
Long story short, i have tested and swapped just about every part in this computer (except for the dvd drive). I have ran Memtest overnight on several occasions with no errors. I have checked and rechecked all bios settings and nothing is overclocked, memory timings are all dialed in correctly. Temperatures have not surpassed 55C on the CPU, and 70C is the max on the GPU. I have done a completely fresh reinstall of Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, and installed several different versions of drivers (and yes i cleaned out the old files after each uninstall). I unchecked that little box that auto restarts on system failure.
All of this, among other things i can't quite remember at the moment, have only slowed down the crashing to a minimum. After installing a new ssd and installing slightly older drivers, it seems to have cut down the crashing quite a bit. Right now it has reset twice in the past 24 hours, and it has only happened after exiting games, specifically BF4 and Garden Warfare.
I have checked the Event Viewer several times and three things pop out at me.
1) Kernel-Power (event id:41)
2) Whea-Logger (event id:20, AMD Northbridge)
3) bug-check (event id:1001)
It seems like it is trying to tell me there is a fatal error with the CPU...but i have pretty much ruled out every possible hardware issue there could be at this point, including lack of power and bad video cables.
iI want to say it is a driver issue of some sort...but i am running a barebones OS right now with only the essentials running, and i have tried several different driver versions to no avail.
Here's the specs, Debugging files are attached.
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
-AMD FX-8120
-Gigabyte 78LMT mATX mobo
-2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaw X 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24
-Corsair CX 600w Bronze
-MSI GeForce 960 2GB (355.58 driver installed, graphic and audio drivers ONLY)
-OCZ Trion 100 120GB SSD
-WD Blue 1TB 7200rpm HDD
-Enermax Ostrog case w/ several 140mm fans

Having issues with a 0x3b on Windows 10. I have an Acer Aspire that crashes randomly, maybe once every 24-48 hours.
I think it is the 0x3b causing the issue but I have placed my mini memory dump file online if any experts could have a look at it. Dropbox - 010816-25437-01.dmp
