View 3 RepliesFirst off I'm on a fresh install of windows 10 x64 the latest Nov. build .... I was watching some streams on twitchtv just letting it play not doing anything else on the Pc after two hours of that the bsod occurred saying system_service_exception.
Bluescreenviewer stated a bug check code of 0x0000003b (video?). And highlighted the NTFS.sys+11b88 and ntoskrnl.exe+14cfe9 as the cause? I went and ran a disk check that passed same with sfc/scannow no problems found.

I have this issue for about a month already. Starting with Windows 7 I thought the problem would resolve itself once I switched over to Windows 10. Sadly I was mistaken, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED BSOD occur every day when I startup my computer and try to watch a stream or video. After the computer rebooted it just crashes again (sometimes after I try to watch a stream/video and sometimes it freezes when I just open Google Chrome). It takes me 2-4 reboots every time until I can do anything on my computer.
View 9 RepliesTwo weeks ago, I upgraded to Windows 10 64-bit from my previous Windows 7 operating system. However, since then, whenever I watch or stream videos online, be it youtube, Netflix or other internet sites, my laptop would just automatically shuts down. But when I turn it on again, It starts up alright without any problems except that it will show an error message which states that:
Runtime Error!
Program: C:WINDOWSsystem32atibtmon.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Then when I start to watch a video again, it shuts down again :-(
I am not a tech wiz so I haven't done anything yet to fix it. My laptop is an HP G62 Notebook running an AMD Dual-Core processor.
My Win10 computer is crashing predominantly when watching Twitch.tv (flash). The crash involves the screen freezing and any audio currently occuring, looping, and then the pc will reboot itself. There is no BSOD.
The crashes only seem to happen playing online video media but don't immediately appear to have an immediate trigger. Mostly they were happening when I had a fullscreen application (game) running on 1 screen and a chrome window open on the 2nd monitor with a twitch stream playing. However the crashes have happened without a fullscreen app running and just browsing the web or local files with Twitch/youtube running. If I notice a more specific trigger I will post it.
It wont crash with media playing from file.
This started happening 4 or 5 days ago and have been using Win 10 for around a month or more.
My first reaction was to try reinstalling audio (asus xonar d2x) and video (nvidia) drivers. The crashes still occured.
I tried reinstalling chrome, thinking perhaps there was a problem with the inbuilt flash codec. Crashes still occured.
I performed a "reset" on the Windows 10 install today, thinking it was probably a deeper problem and a "fresh" os install would work. After reinstalling drivers and programs I have had another identical crash to before the os "reset".
Ps. since the "reset" of the Win 10 OS I have had 1 crash and it did not produce a minidump file because there was no BSOD/error message.
I recently have been trying to stream on twitch, and it works for like 30 minutes-1 hour then my computer crashes. really want to start streaming seriously and on a schedule but can't due to this unfortunate issue that frequently occurs. I have provided my system specs on my profile under the tab "System Spec" if you need to see my setup.
I will provide a screenshot of my recent crashes, and will provide them here, but I recommend looking at the screenshot as it provides a lot more information regarding the crashes. The Bug Check String that says the reason of the crashes are:
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, KMODE_ EXCEPTION_ NOT_HANDLED, ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY.
I was watching a Counter Strike Stream and my computer BSOD'd. I thought nothing of it until I opened CS the next day and my pc bsod'd again.
View 1 RepliesMy issue doesn't really happen while playing games. It happened once while I was in a game. I simply spend more time not playing games, so imo it makes sense that this crash happens while I'm not playing games. I don't know.
The primary display goes solid green and the secondary screen goes black. The audio - if playing - repeats the last few miliseconds of whatever was playing just before the screen changed.
e: I guess I should mention that this doesn't happen very frequently. Usually once every few days. The quickest it's been to repeat itself was when it happened two days in a row, but after that it didn't happen again until a few days later.
I upgraded my video card to a MSI Radeon R9 390 recently. But my Motherboard is a Gigabyte Model: GA-870A-UD3. It is running on PCI-e 2.0 rather than 3.0 but I don't know how to verify that this is what is causing the BSOD.
I am also running two types of RAM in my computer:
Corsair 2x 2GB RAM
Kingston 2x 8GB 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL11
I have a Corsair HX650 as a powersupply. I would've thought that this PSU is sufficient for the hardware that I'm running.
I play games such as GTA V, Starcraft II, Counter Strike: GO and it crashes at random times - sometimes even in the menu screen.
Look forward to hearing back form you and telling me what type of tests I can do to try and find the root cause.

I am getting recurrent BSOD crashes on my Windows 10 system, while watching videos on youtube. When I was using Windows 7 I have never experienced this problem. Once I upgraded to Windows 10, the BSOD crashes have started. I have seen updated the display drivers. However, the crashes are still there.
I have collected the details using the DM_log_collector.
I was in desktop watching video and uploading video to internet. and my computer just BSODS me with the error IRQL Not Less or Equal.

Currently, whenever I am playing or starting up any online game (League of Legends, Maplestory etc.) My laptop will freeze with the audio becoming an incredibly loud buzzing sound, often saying that my headphones became unplugged even though they hadn't. When this happens the only way to get the computer to respond is to hard reset using the power button. This issue has persisted for a while now, and I have previously reported it to those over at sevenforums, although sadly that didnt end up getting resolved. Here is the link to that thread:
BSOD During Gaming(Mostly Online) nvlddmkm.sys,dxgkrnl.sys,dxgmms1.sys - Windows 7 Forums
I'm having for a while a BSOD Bad pool caller. All the drivers and software in my OS are up to date. I don't think it's a memory problem, the Windows Memory Diagnostic gave me no errors, I also tried the SFC /SCANNOW to try fixing the file systems, and also chkdsk /r to check and the disk integrity, but everything seems cool. I did all types of virus/malware scans with mcafee and malwarebytes, my system still seems clean.
I'm using a ACER Aspire E5 - 511 - P29D: Intel Pentium quad core processor N3540.
It doesn't happen at a particular moment, I can be browsing on the Internet or watching a movie. And it's not frequent, it happens every 3 or 4 days. It started 6, 7 weeks ago, after I did a upgrade to Windows 10. I haven't made any change to my computer yet.
I've tried so many things to no avail. Finally came to my senses to post on a forum.
View 9 RepliesMy BSOD only appears while gaming online. I don't really have any other information than the BSOD does state that it is a power state driver failure.
View 1 RepliesWhenever I'm watching movie or web browsing, my window just crashed and showing me Kernel_Security_Check_Failure .... I can open files like normal, typing in Microsoft Word etc. Just only web browsing and movie apps that crashed my Window.

My computer is only a month old and I am starting to have errors after a few hours of the computer running regardless of what I have been doing. It gets as bad as not being able to open games at all. It's only after 3 or 4 hours of it running though. I noticed adobe flash player will stop working then I won't be able to stream music then games will freeze when you open them. Once I do a restart everything works perfectly again.

No overclocking
Temps are mostly below 160 other than 1 spot on the motherboard that reaches 220f during gaming. It doesn't get that hot when I am using Microsoft Word but it still slows down after a while.Temps checked with a hardware monitoring program. (Hwmonitor I think)
Just upgraded to win 10 but cant find how to get windows to bitstream dolby sounds to my amp? media player classic still works fine and the amp shows dolby digital or dts ma etc when playing suitable films. but the amp only shows pcm when using windows media player, even the dolby demo for edge only shows pcm. View 3 RepliesHow do you stream a video from your win 10 pc to the xbox one? In windows 8 you could play to and then select the xbox. Is there anyway to do that in Windows 10? like play to feature in win 8
View 4 RepliesWith Windows 8, I had a bunch of different apps for videos (movies, tv, etc). I would start a video, swipe from the right, select 'device', select my Xbox One, and it would stream to the Xbox. Now I am not seeing any way to do this.
View 1 RepliesCan stream audio over USB on windows 10 mobile? I want to get an external DAC and feed audio into over USB... (not mass storage mode though) just want to check if it might work.
View 3 RepliesI have the hp stream 11 and i installed it before and it works great but takes a lot of space... i was told i had to reinstall it using wimboot and it will free up almost 10GB of space... How to do this?
View 11 RepliesI know they got rid of Media Center but I didn't think or realize that was the same app. If that's the case, is there no way to stream media from a Windows 10 PC to an Xbox One?
View 8 RepliesSince upgrading to Windows 10 I have lost something I used frequently, the ability to stream movies & pictures to my Xbox 360. Apparently Windows Media Center isn't supported on Win10. Looking for 3rd party apps. I downloaded and installed Plex on PC and Xbox but apparently their is a charge to stream from my pc using Plex.
View 6 RepliesHaving problems seeing their online music collection from Groove?
When Microsoft allowed streaming from OneDrive, I uploaded my entire music collection and started using this service. Everything worked great on Win8.1 with Xbox Music. Now on Groove I can only see 24 (out of 500+) when I use the 'On OneDrive' filter. There's nothing special about these albums, so I don't know why it's only limited to these.
I wonder if it has anything to do with this ridiculous policy of no longer allowing placeholders in OneDrive and forcing people to do selective sync? I can't sync my music folder locally as I don't have enough space on my hard disk (that's the whole point of cloud storage.....)
My sister has an xbox one and I want to stream games to my win 10 pc, the first time I did it on another pc, my sister's account took over my pc account and I was really mad, how can I stream xbox games without her account taking over? Or can I change the email address of the xbox account?
