BSOD :: Hard Freezes During Streaming Videos / Gaming / Web Browsing
Feb 10, 2016
A friend of mine gifted me with a plethora of new hardware, to the point where I had to buy a new mobo. Did a fresh install of Win10 in the hopes to not run into driver issues and it was solid for about a week. Recently, however crashes have been happening with some regularity, every other day or so, especially when streaming. This is the first time it's actually given a blue screen. Showed the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error message.

I have had an issue of my computer Blue screening multiple times over the past few weeks. The frequency has increased and I cannot replicate the issue on demand, it comes and goes by itself. The first time I noticed this was when my computer BSODed when I was streaming a video to my Chromecast. Once the computer restarted, it did not have any further issues. However, these past few days when I was browsing the net, my computer was BSOD on its own without really doing anything resource intensive. Is there any way this can be fixed? So I've been experiencing this for a while now on both Windows 7 and Windows 10, any time I stream or process a video my computer blue screens and I have to power it on and off, for all other applications its perfectly fine I have a 4790k proccessor 16gb of of RAM and a GTX 770 Gfx card, the fact it only happens when rendering/streaming/gaming makes me think it's a driver issue, however I use the Nvidia Geforce Experience and always install the latest updates but apparently something is very wrong with the PC, the specifications mean it should be able to do these things easily,
One last thing I'd add is about 8 months after I bought the PC I restored it to factory settings and pretty sure didn't do the greatest job of it, the BSODs have occurred ever since that happened again making me think its driver related, is there anyway to check my drivers and see what could be wrong/incompatible.
I would have posted a log but when i go to event viewer it says the crash dumps been deleted due to lack of space.
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xffffe000402c9028, 0x00000000bf800000, 0x0000000000000124). A dump was saved in: C:WINDOWSMEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 14c3a8a0-930a-4b8e-bd5c-6e245fe74fda.
That's all I can seem to find...

I upgraded recently to Windows 10, my computer has always had some random BSOD problems but now it's definitely worse, it used to be only while watching videos (on windows media player) then occasionally on gaming,
Now it even happens while browsing and the errors vary from one type to the other, no real constant. I read a bit online and I tried doing a verifier check but my CPU went into a blue screen bootloop so that didn't really solve my problem (had to reopen in safe mode and undo the colossal mess that was)
Not sure where else to go from there. I followed the guidelines and have uploaded a zip of the debug log, I sure hope that will give a good starting point...

My issue doesn't really happen while playing games. It happened once while I was in a game. I simply spend more time not playing games, so imo it makes sense that this crash happens while I'm not playing games. I don't know.
The primary display goes solid green and the secondary screen goes black. The audio - if playing - repeats the last few miliseconds of whatever was playing just before the screen changed.
e: I guess I should mention that this doesn't happen very frequently. Usually once every few days. The quickest it's been to repeat itself was when it happened two days in a row, but after that it didn't happen again until a few days later.

I upgraded my video card to a MSI Radeon R9 390 recently. But my Motherboard is a Gigabyte Model: GA-870A-UD3. It is running on PCI-e 2.0 rather than 3.0 but I don't know how to verify that this is what is causing the BSOD.
I am also running two types of RAM in my computer:
Corsair 2x 2GB RAM
Kingston 2x 8GB 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL11
I have a Corsair HX650 as a powersupply. I would've thought that this PSU is sufficient for the hardware that I'm running.
I play games such as GTA V, Starcraft II, Counter Strike: GO and it crashes at random times - sometimes even in the menu screen.
Look forward to hearing back form you and telling me what type of tests I can do to try and find the root cause.

So while gaming and browsing my computer will just randomly shut off for no real apparent reason but i am receiving a bugcheck code of 0, i posted the files below....
Update:
While looking through the even files i found that most of the time this would show up
- <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
- <System>
<Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power" Guid="{331C3B3A-2005-44C2-AC5E-77220C37D6B4}" />
<EventID>41</EventID>
[Code] .....
These are the errors that I am receiving that results in pc shut off and no restart...
Did a cpu stress test and just after about a minute my computer turned off so im guessing its that but I am not sure the steps i have to do to see whats wrong with it...

During this week I encountered a serious problem with my Laptop. While playing games it freezes and the sound starts to stutter. The only way out is to shut down the PC with the power button. This happens randomly, therefore I can play 20 mins. and I'm fine, or even up to a few hours without any problems, but it could happen anytime and this is really frustrating when playing online games .
My setup is a Clevo-PM15SM with theses specifications:
====================================
CPU: i7-4710MQ @ 2.50GHz (hyperthreaded to 8 cores)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 880M
RAM: 8GB
OS: Clean install of Windows 10 (2 weeks old)
Task Manager and the Strg-Alt-Del Screen do not work.
Drivers are up-to date.
I can confirm it's not a heat issue my PC rarely tops the 50-60 C mark.
The RAM, CPU and GPU are all fine.
I have no clue what's going on. However I took a look at the Event Viewer and discovered that milliseconds before the crash the driver called EnhancedStorage-EhStorTcgDrv crashes. This happens before every crash without exception.

I upgraded from w7 to w10 a few weeks ago. Since doing so it crashes what seems like 100% of the time when I stream video from certain sites.
Youtube is fine no problems. But bbc iplayer for instance, within 30 seconds the PC just freezes... no ctrl+alt+del option... the pc is just dead and stuck. I have to manually shut it down and restart it every time.
Other sites I'm trying to stream from have the same problem.
I'm hoping there is a quick fix, update, driver or solution I can find rather than doing a clean install because I'm planning to build a PC soon so don't want to have to go through the clean install and downloading/installing all my programs and losing program data with this PC and then the next one too. I'm going to give this PC to family so will be happy to do the clean install at that stage.

Two weeks ago, I upgraded to Windows 10 64-bit from my previous Windows 7 operating system. However, since then, whenever I watch or stream videos online, be it youtube, Netflix or other internet sites, my laptop would just automatically shuts down. But when I turn it on again, It starts up alright without any problems except that it will show an error message which states that:
Runtime Error!
Program: C:WINDOWSsystem32atibtmon.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Then when I start to watch a video again, it shuts down again :-(
I am not a tech wiz so I haven't done anything yet to fix it. My laptop is an HP G62 Notebook running an AMD Dual-Core processor.

This started shortly after I installed the latest cumulative update a couple of weeks ago. I had been using IE as my default browser, I was in here reading and my whole system locked up. That happened about 3 times, then I moved to FireFox. Under Firefox, it would not freeze completely, my mouse would still work, but my Keyboard would be locked up and clicking on things doesn't do anything. Everything ran generally well before the update. If I stay out of desktop browsers it doesn't freeze, if I use Edge it won't freeze.

I did a fresh install of Windows 10 64bit Pro version recently and everything was going fine (except for high disk usage which I fixed with disabling of superfetch). Now my problem is that first time I experienced my computer freezing was in online web browser games. The sound goes on a loop and I cannot move my mouse cursor nor use my keyboard. (caps lock cannot be turned on or off but keyboard is still on with lights)
Had to force shut down of the PC.Event Log didn't show anything , only showed the time at which my PC turned on from unexpected shut down. Now next thing I did was uninstall some Audio and Network drivers and also tried to use AMD's Beta driver but still experienced the random freeze.Should I give up on Windows 10 ?Maybe BIOS update ? "only install if you have windows 8" - from MSI's 2.xx BIOS driver descriptions

after installing windows 10 (clean install) my laptop completely freezes, so far happend only while playing games. This is possibly related to nvidia gpu, because basicaly nothing else uses it. I dont get any error or bsod and nothing in the event log, it just hangs with the "bzzz" sound and i have to restart.
Games a tried playing are heroes of the storm and rocket league, got freezes playing both. Time it takes to freeze is random sometimes 10minutes and sometimes 3 hours.
Heres some HW info [URL].....

Recently I've been on Windows 10 Pro x64 bit, I did a clean install after the free upgrade and loving 10 so far..
I've been playing tons of my regular games.. Battlefield 4, ArmA 3/ ArmA 2 DayZ Mod ( OverPoch ) , Insurgency, etc.. mostly FPS and survival games.. lately in ArmA 2 I've been getting this lag/freezing and the audio will be like robotic till the freeze stops and the game runs like normal again..
this happens throughout play sessions in ArmA 2 DayZ mod and has happened like once or twice in Battlefield 4 but hasn't really happened again in awhile.. I'm trying to see if there is a fix to this or if it's just an ArmA issue or Windows 10 and ArmA compatibility issue..
My Specs:
Windows 10 Pro x64 bit - Clean install
MSI GTX 970 4gb OC
i7 4770k 3.50GHz
MSI B85-G41 PC Mate(MS-7850)
111GB ADATA SSD S510 120GB (SSD) - for My OS
465GB Western Digital WDC WD5000AAKS-00UU3A0 (SATA) - Programs
1863GB Seagate ST2000DM001-1CH164 (SATA) - Games
16gb DDR3 ram
1000w PSU
I have updated my onboard sound drivers ( Realtek) to the very latest along with my chipset..

I recently have been trying to stream on twitch, and it works for like 30 minutes-1 hour then my computer crashes. really want to start streaming seriously and on a schedule but can't due to this unfortunate issue that frequently occurs. I have provided my system specs on my profile under the tab "System Spec" if you need to see my setup.
I will provide a screenshot of my recent crashes, and will provide them here, but I recommend looking at the screenshot as it provides a lot more information regarding the crashes. The Bug Check String that says the reason of the crashes are:
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, KMODE_ EXCEPTION_ NOT_HANDLED, ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY.

1. After trying to install the Windows 7 sound driver (W10 not available)
2. After messing around with the playback device settings
3. While playing League of Legends
4. While on Chrome after restarting and finishing the LoL game in point 3

Today my computer has started crashing for no obvious reason giving me a bluescreen. No errors found in the event log and it crashed while just browsing the web. No newly installed applications just before the crash as I can recall.
Message on lblue screen: If you want more information you can search for DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (L1C63x64.sys)

BSOD problems. They occur during general use like web browsing, file management, and at any time really.
Here is a zip of what I was told to upload.

I'm having for a while a BSOD Bad pool caller. All the drivers and software in my OS are up to date. I don't think it's a memory problem, the Windows Memory Diagnostic gave me no errors, I also tried the SFC /SCANNOW to try fixing the file systems, and also chkdsk /r to check and the disk integrity, but everything seems cool. I did all types of virus/malware scans with mcafee and malwarebytes, my system still seems clean.
I'm using a ACER Aspire E5 - 511 - P29D: Intel Pentium quad core processor N3540.
It doesn't happen at a particular moment, I can be browsing on the Internet or watching a movie. And it's not frequent, it happens every 3 or 4 days. It started 6, 7 weeks ago, after I did a upgrade to Windows 10. I haven't made any change to my computer yet.
