Battlefield 3 Not Working
Aug 11, 2015Battlefield 3 does not want to work anymore after I upgraded to Windows 64Bit Pro Version 10.0 (Build 10240) and it does not seem to work, it only does the loading of the map and then suddenly stops just as it is about to play the game and then says Battlefield 3 has stopped working..No details about the error only the 'close program' button. I have upgraded my graphics card driver for Win10 and it still does not do anything.

Battlefield 4 Not Running Very Smoothly?
Aug 8, 2015I recently installed Windows 10, the FULL VERSION, not the Technical ISO, and ever since then, Battlefield 4 has been running significantly worse on my computer. I don't know if it is just the operating system or what, but I am running a 980 ti with an i5 4670k cpu and I can definitely say that it was smoother on Windows 7. I am playing with everything on ultra settings at 1080p.

Aug 24, 2015I recently reinstalled Fallout 3 but noticed every time I saved, they weren't detected in the Load screen. I checked the folder (C:UsersAlien2DocumentsMy GamesFallout3) and my saves were there! So the game is saving, but I'm unable to load any of them cuz they aren't getting detected.
I have Windows 10 which warns me the game is not optimized, but it runs fine. Also, I want to note I did not have to install Games for Windows Live when I installed fallout 3 through Steam, but when I click the warning Windows 10 gives me about the game not running properly, it sends me straight to an install link for GfWL which I decided to reinstall.
I had hoped to use the migrate method where you'd move the save files from My Games/Fallout 3 into whatever profile folder there is made from GfWL but after reinstalling and logging into my old account it didn't work.why I can't load my games?
Computer Freezes When Playing Games And When Not Playing Games?
Oct 3, 2015I've been having this issue for nearly a year now (probably around 9 months). It started after my little sister made me get a virus by her trying to download something onto my laptop. I've since taken it to a reputable computer shop as well as followed instructions from other computer wizs and I think it's no longer there. Issue is, my computer has kind of developed another problem after that. It freezes on it's own sometimes, when I pick it up or even when it's on a desk and immobile. It would also freeze when I play a game sometimes, loud buzzing sound as the game continues in loops I believe. I had BSOD problems earlier this year that was solved (Apparently. I haven't gotten any in about 4-5 months) when I had Windows 7 but this issue still persists.
When it would freeze and I manually turn off my computer and turn it back on, the laptop would sometimes say no wifi could be detected. At all. Not mine, not my neighbors, nothing. I've never really taken it out of the house so I don't know if it'd act the same elsewhere. I would then shut it down and take out the battery for 30 seconds before putting it back in. Sometimes the wifi would work then or I'd go connect it to my Internet Modem and the wifi would start working over there too.
So I'm not sure what's causing this problem. It's not overheating as I had it cleaned less than 4 months ago by a professional. I've had this laptop for two years and I really wanted it to last me at least 4 because I'll be going into an animation program soon and to get a laptop of the same caliber costs $1000+.
Is there anyway I can solve this freezing issue/loss of wifi on my own? I'm thinking of taking it back to the computer shop (they've had a hard time trying to find out what's wrong with it) but I'm sure they'll charge me again and I'm not willing to end up paying a lot to get this fixed. Might as well buy a new one if it costs more than $500 to fix...
P.S. I'm also having issues with my sound card where I'd plug in my headphones and it would work but when I take it out, my laptop would say it's still plugged in. Addtionally, my CD Rom Drive makes a loud sound when I try to skip through CDs and DVDs. Sometimes it won't even skip and just continue making the sound. I don't know how my laptop has gotten to this state as I've taken very good care of it (minus allowing a younger sibling to use it but you live and learn). These issues don't bother me much as I can use a DVD player for my DVD's and the sound issue isn't an issue for me. I don't really care for it since I use headphones 90% of the time or have the sound off.
Cannot Load The Menu Bar
Aug 27, 2015I searched my PC and was directed to the web, the information said that W10 did not yet provide the Menu bar facility but maybe in the future MS may offer it. I then played around again on my PC and did find away around the problem. Click the windows start icon / Settings / System / Default apps / Scroll down to Web browser / click Microsoft Edge / click Internet Explorer. With a bit of luck you should now have the Menu bar, albeit on IE. I am going to use it this way until MS provide it on MS Edge.

Won't Load Any Profiles
Oct 2, 2015I have a Sony VAIO Intel Core 7 with 4GB of RAM. I recently updated my Windows 7 with Windows 10 w/o any problems.
I am not sure if I've been a victim of a scam or not, because this all happened after a support specialist connected to my PC ( don't ask me why I let them! its a long story ) and wanted to sell me their services that I wouldn't buy.
I realized something was wrong after I rebooted my PC because my memory was suddenly running above 90% even up to 99%! So I decided to load Windows in Safe Mode. Windows loads until you get to choose a profile. This is a home computer so I have two profiles on it. Neither one loads to the desktop even in Safe Mode. One has a password and one doesn't, I doubt that makes any difference but thought I should mention it just in case. I am not familiar with Windows 10 and don't know how resolve this. I don't have any CD's related to Windows 10 to try to use to boot up to the desktop.
My computer at this point is completely useless.
30 Second App Load Times
Nov 22, 2015Just this morning, many of my apps are taking exactly 30 seconds to load. They sit at their splash screens for 30 seconds, and then load and play fine. No updates on the store, and nothing from Windows Update. Running S3 on TH2 build of W10.

Sep 10, 2015So I was coming from Windows 7, got my upgrade by using the usb method. Downloaded the tool from microsoft and installed W10 over W7. Everything was great, until I noticed every time I loaded Steam, it would show the process how ever many times in my processes, but never actually open. No matter how many times I would reinstall the Steam App or clean my reg and system, reboot, nothing. A friend suggested I do a clean wipe and install so I did.
Formatted my primary SSD drive and left my other 2 hard drives alone. Rebooted W10 and same problem after loading Steam. I tried all the above again, multiple installs of Steam, cleaning the system, reboots, whatever I could think of and can not get it to run. The Steam app will install then start to update and never update and stays running in my processes.
I was wondering if the problem is I am running 3 hard drives, my primary SSD with W10 only, and a bunch of steam apps and files games etc all still on my other 2 Hard Drives. Do I need to wipe my other 2 drives completely, fresh wipe my SSD and install w10 again? Not sure what the problem is. All my other friends with W10 have their steam working. I need to have this app run, as it is the portal into all my games I have purchased to play online. I have reverted to W7 until I can figure out what to do.
Oh and when I go back to W7, the Steam app loads right away and works. So this is a W10 issue.

Main board is an ACER AST690, CPU Pentium D 2 core 3.4 GHz, OS Win 7 Pro SP1 When I first tried to load Win 10, I was running an Pentium 4 672 HT-Vt, 3.8 GHz. I got a message that my CPU was not supported. Coreinfo indicated prefetchw was missing. I found the Pentium D 2 Core that has prefetchw. Win 10 still won't load from the start menu icon. I downloaded the isoimage of Win 10. It will load but as home addition which I don't want. My last check of compatibility of Win 10 was on 8-10-2015. Do I need to wait until after 9-10 for Microsoft to rerun the compatibility test? I really don't want Home Addition of Win 10, I want to upgrade from Win 7. Will I be able to load Win 10 after 9-10?

Aug 10, 2015So I just upgraded to Windows 10 a week ago (I never had this Issue with Windows 8).When I did so I noticed that when watching videos in Chrome some videos refused to load. When it does this the video sits there with the buffer symbol and will not load and I have fairly fast internet.However some sites play more videos than other. For example Youtube will load almost all the videos I want to watch but a few will not load, But If I want to watch something on a social media sites the videos will almost never load. Nov 11, 2015My computer has always crashed frequently since I built it a few months ago. I finally did a clean Windows 10 install to see if that would sort it out but it didn't. It appears random. It crashes during resource intensive games, not resource intensive games, browsing, watching a video, or even just idling once every 2 to 6 hours of use. BSOD point their fingers at the RAM (which has tested fine), my graphics driver (the latest), and other things I'm not sure about.

Sep 19, 2015Trying to install Windows 10 Pro 64 bit on an older desktop computer (AMD 4000+ CPU, Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard) and the boot disc won't get past the Windows logo splash screen; normally it would load the language and keyboard options after this, but in my case the process just hangs at the Windows logo and does not go past that.
I also notice that eventually the boot disc stops spinning in the drive, but the Windows logo remains. I've tried switching DVD drives but the same happens on another drive that I know is working
Windows Continues To Load Just No Video
Sep 14, 2015After upgrading to W10 from W8.1 (which went trouble free) when my laptop is powered completely off and I turn on the laptop, after the Acer splash screen the video stops working. Windows continues to load just no video.
IF I go into the bios during startup and just exit out of it, W10 starts normally, with video. It will also reboot with no problem, no video loss, only when the laptop is powered completely off.
I tried going to the Acer web site and downloading their W10 drivers, made no difference. I installed the latest bios.

Jan 2, 2016I got this new pc for christmas which came with 8.1, which I hate. So I did the free 10 upgrade but now run into many new problems. Many of my favorite programs are not yet compadible. Discs burned from previous operating systems and usb drives formated for previous OS will not boot. Simply freezes computer when I insert them O.o. Also had some random crashes and I just wanna downgrade to 7 and be done with this so I can finally start using my new pc.
I enter a windows 7 64 bit ISO burned from a friend and again it just freezes the computer on load. So eventually I borrow my friends genuine windows 7 64 bit disc, and now when I try to load it gives the message "cannot install 32 bit version on ECF system" or something like that.Would I have better luck downgrading to 8 and then trying to get 7? Why is 10 recognizing this genuine 64 bit disc as a 32 bit version??
Can't Load Calc Or Switch Accounts

Also, Windows 10 won't let me switch out of my Local User Account back to my Microsoft Account, if I try, it gives me the active circle for a short duration and a quick open and closed CMD screen with no discernible commands seen in it, just open/closed in a split second behind the Setting/Accounts screen and doesn't switch me at all.
I am using Spybot Anti-Beacon and O&O ShutUp10 also to block M$ stuff.
I am running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and I did a fresh install after a unstable 'upgrade', though successful.
Connected To The Internet But Web Pages Will Not Load
Mar 3, 2016My friend's computer will not load web pages:
1. Google and Yahoo searches do work but
2. Clicking on a search result produces a something like "This page cannot be displayed".
3. The problem goes away in Safe Mode.
4. I have run the following commands in batch mode:
netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log
ipconfig /flushdns
nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR
netsh int reset resetlog.txt
netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset
5. Other devices have no problem with the router.
6. I have scanned the computer with Malwarebytes, Windows Defender and Avast.
