I just have a old Ace Aspire V3-471G with Windows 10 installed . Everything is fine for 3 week . And then one day when i restart a laptop to install some app , I heard very noisy beeping sound . And then Windows 10 starting but then immediately restart again . It keep going on like that. I decide to install old Windows 7 and it start fine although if i connect USB , sometime it will beeping again.

I just recently got a new pc it had windows 8 but i upgraded to windows 10 it was good for a week until today, I tried to boot it up and its stuck at the windows logo and then it says "preparing automatic repair " and it keeps on beeping. I tried to find bios but i couldn't find it, i pressed every key but no bios. I then put a windows 8 disk but it doesn't have an option to boot from cd/dvd. Its an Msi motherboard ....

View 6 RepliesYes, I have the box checked to play sounds on startup under the sound tab in Control Panel. When I test other sounds on the sound tab they play fine.
I have noticed that Dolby Home Theater v4 did not migrate with the upgrade from Win 7.
I noticed that all the Technical Preview (Evaluation copies) updates do not contain any Windows Startup or Welcome sound. Will the final release of Windows 10 contain a start up sound ?

View 2 RepliesI'm running Windows 10 (build 10130) in a virtual machine and I noticed that the startup sound wasn't playing. The box for "Play startup sound" is checked in the Sound control panel, and I even checked imageres.dll to see if the startup sound was still there. (it still is.)

View 1 RepliesThis just started happening only a few days ago, I'm not sure what might have caused it, but my laptop will suddenly disconnect from my wifi network. sometimes it won't disconnect, but just stop receiving/sending packets. I can tell this because suddenly my pages are stuck loading and skype is trying to reconnect, but nothing happens until I manually disconnect.
I have tried Troubleshooting. But I usually get "Your proxy setting could not be recognized" or something, even though I don't have any proxy settings.Uninstalling and then reinstalling the latest driver for my wifi card. Disabling power saving for the wifi card as talked about here. Everything mentioned on the Microsoft page here
Ethernet works fine. I can connect my phone to wifi and tether it to my laptop, so this shouldn't be a problem with the router.
Continuous beeping noise started after yesterdays win 10 update...
View 1 RepliesAfter signing in on W10 sign in page, start up screen comes up but just keeps flashing, no icons on bottom task bar, curser has revolving blue circle, left click and right click has no effect. The only thing I can do is "control/alt/del to bring up the task manager. Tried rebooting numerous times to no avail. Tried disconnecting modem and computer and restarting, no luck. Appears that W10 is installed but seems to be hung up on start page. Unable to access anything. If I press the F1 key sometimes icons appear momentarily on the task bar but then they disappear and cannot bring them back up.
View 1 RepliesMy computer (Asus transformer Aio) is very slow, it takes long to open a window or browse internet, or wake up from the screen saver. The hard disk is working non stop, the light is on all the time and I can hear it.
I tried to clean it with windows tools (defrag), and ran CCleaner and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware but they didn't find anything wrong. I just launched the Windows Defender complete analysis. The basic one says nothing wrong as well.
What could it be ? How can I manage this ?
Since I upgraded from 8.1 --> 10, I've occasionally been having an issue where my my PC constantly beeps (through the normal speakers) and I lose control over the mouse. URL....Beeping sound is playing through normal speakers, not from inside the tower. I have limited movement of the cursor, but unable to click on ANYTHING.I've been trying to narrow down potential causes, by disconnecting various input devices. One thing to note is that this sometimes occurs WHEN an input device is disconnected or reconnected. These devices include:
-Logitech G502 mouse
-Corsair K70 Keyboard
-Logitech M310 wireless mouse (sometimes used for control of Netflix from my couch)
-Saitek X-52 Pro Hotas (with programming software)
-CH Products Flight Pedals
-Xbox 360 controller
-and another thing-
a program called "SVmapper," which enables the use of the eight otherwise useless buttons on the base of the X-52 Pro's throttle. Normally, those buttons are used to start and stop a small timer built into the throttle, change modes, and generally very useless crap. SVmapper intercepts those button presses and instead outputs a keyboard command to the video game in use. (For example: the x-52 doesn't have enough buttons for me to map essential controls AND landing gear control to the hotas. When I use SVmapper, it gives me 8 extra usable buttons!) [URL] ....

According to my searches, I've heard of a (somewhat) similar problem in Windows 8 related to StickyKeys, FilterKeys, or some other UselessKeys option. Only way I can regain control of my PC is by holding the front power button on my tower. I've tried Task Manger to stop processes (doesn't work) and rebooting with ctrl+alt+del (also inoperative). I'm trying to at least make this PC last until I can get a Skylake CPU (+motherboard +appropriate RAM).
I have been having issues with windows 10 since my fresh install 3/4 days ago. at random times my pc will just freeze if there is sound when it hangs it just continuously makes noise. this wont go away unless i hard restart the pc freezes mostly randomly, while gaming, browsing the web, installing software, just rebooted 3 seconds ago it will crash.

Results for memtest86+ 8 passes no errors
Im not sure if this is one problem or multiple.

I don`t know if is realted but yesterday i installed the new update at windows update My windows version is the 1511 (10586.122) and my mouse is a Corsair M65 RGB.
My PC was running Windows 8.1 with no problem. I upgraded to Windows 10. Installation went fine, but right after I logged in to windows, it started to continuously run a shell script in background. A shell window pops up on the computer screen every few seconds for a fraction of a second.
This happens everytime the computer is powered on. Not only this is very disturbing, it also resets any text windows that are open at that time. So, if I am typing a password, it comes in the middle and wipes off the text from the text window.
I have tried disabling all startup programs and several running processes, nothing seem to solve the problem.
I have an Asus Zenbook UX303LA, and I upgraded to 10 yesterday. When I put the comp to sleep and wake it up by opening the lid, the screen begins blacking out and refreshing. Everything else seems fine--I can open apps, navigate the desktop and so on, in between the black outs. The problem has so far been solved by restarting each time. I can't find any information on this issue, so I don't know what might be causing it (driver incompatibility with 10 seems a likely culprit--this was not at all an issue with 8.1, which is what I was running prior to the upgrade).
View 2 RepliesSo ever since I upgraded to windows 10 I have been getting this constant beeping type noise every couple minutes and I can't get it to stop unless I mute the computer completely. I've checked my notifications are all turned off and the only other thing I can think up is something with my Bluetooth because I know my computer has Bluetooth but for whatever reason right now it does't even show me Bluetooth as an option so I can't turn it off and I know I'm not popular enough to be getting that many emails. This noise, I can't get it to stop!
My other quick question is is there a way to change the default search browser for cortana from bing to google. I hate bing.
The Conexant HD Audio Sound Driver was replace by High Definition Audio Device after i update to Windows 10 Home Version 1511 from 1011
Now if i want to plug my earphones to the left side of the computer where the audio jack socket is located the sound does not transfer to my earphones except i will change the default sound device from speakers to headphones.
How can i set it to automatically when i plugin my headphones/earphones/external speaker automatically transfer the sound to this device without changing the settings?
I just bought this sound card and installed drivers for Windows 10. (and a crapton of bloatware with UI of Win XP media player...)

I have three entries (among others) that are slated to startup when I logon. Each of them are featured twice in the start up tab of program manager.
On checking with autoruns I found that they occurred twice in the registry under

I would like to eliminate the sound when I adjust the volume on the sound icon in the lower right hand area of the task bar . Wat steps I can take to be able to still adjust the volume, but not hear the loud sound it makes when adjusting?
View 3 RepliesI was previously on Windows 7 and upgraded to 10 when the notifications came out last month. In W7 I was able to open the SOUND RECORDER program
and then record sounds from the video that was playing through the internet explorer I was using at that time. It did NOT matter which internet explorer I was using, be it IE or CHROME or FIREFOX, etc. I was previously able to open a video, for example youtube, and then record the sound that was playing into the SOUND RECORDER program, and then save that file on my desktop as a WMA.
I have not been able to find the SOUND RECORDER program in Windows 10. Is it gone? I've tried downloading a couple freebie programs that are similar to it, but they're not recording the sounds either. So now I'm thinking maybe Windows 10 bypassed or simply disregarded my sound card altogether, ? Is that a possibility?
I just installed the most recent windows 10 tech preview last night; but my sound blaster pci express sound card did not get installed correctly or something because i am getting no sound at all. I roll everything back to the old setup.
View 9 RepliesI'm unable to boot the computer. An Automatic Repair screen runs, then a Diagnosing PC screen. The Repair/Diagnosis fails and I end up on a blue screen that says the problem couldn't be diagnosed and provides options to "Restart Computer" (which just leads into the same loop) or "Advanced Options." I hit "Advanced Options", then "Troubleshoot", then another "Advanced Options", then "Startup Settings" (on this screen there are also options for "Reset System", "Restore Previous Build" and others, all of which failed), then "Restart".
It routed back to the same blue screen "Your PC did not start correctly".
I don't have any startup disk. Do not have other pc to download software.
When I tried to reset the PC, was prompted "There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made."
