I have a Inspiron N5010 with built in Bluetooth (DW365). When I upgraded to Win 10 It no longer works. It does not show up in device manager or anywhere else.
I have found where some people have used a driver ( Broadcom 4.0 ) and had good results. When I try to install the driver It tells me to uninstall the old one. How to uninstall it when it does not show up anywhere on my computer?
I have an Asus x550L (?) laptop. I have been using Windows 10 for several months without issue until I noticed that my Bluetooth connection option is gone. I can't find drivers. I just want to pair headphones and I'm hitting wall after wall!

I noticed today on my laptop that that when I right click on an application from the start menu there are options such as Pin to Start, Pin to Taskbar, Uninstall, Run as Administrator and Open File Location. However, when I right click on an application on my desktop PC, the only option I have available is Pin to Start.
View 1 RepliesI've just done a clean install of W10 on my Dell Inspiron 7537 laptop. I turned off the laptop last night when the battery was about half discharged.
I tried turning on the laptop today after it had been off 18 hours and it was completely dead - there was no response to the power on button and no charging light despite the charger outputting the correct voltage.
I read online about removing the battery so I did this. I removed the battery, pressed the power button for 60s then plugged in the power lead and hey presto the laptop started! I then put the battery back in and started W10 fine. The battery showed 56% charge so the battery wasn't flat.
I can only think there was a poor battery connection which prevented the laptop starting and removing and replacing the battery cured this.
I just upgraded to Windows 10 and lost my audio output device.
View 3 RepliesAfter updating win 10 from 8.1, am getting the frequent pop when ever i use the touchpad. (pic attached)
1) Resinstalled driver, still popup continues
2) using autorun app, i have tried to remove the entry (It stops the popup but the Dell touchpad utility is not starting up, so I cannot use the scrolling and the gesture support)
3) Again I turned on the services from autorun, popup came again
4) Tried cleaning registry by ccleaner, still the issue persists.
5) Tried to reset windows, but tat also not happening (boot device failure)

Windows 10 OS using NVidia graphics and Realtek sound.This morning after a windows update ran , I have no sound. Troubleshooting shows that a solution maybe to reinstall 2 drivers from Realtek and NVidia. I tried the Auto fix solution but problem persists.On the Device Manager it is showing an orange warning triangle on both drivers, saying reinstall. Code 18. As I said the Auto update install does not rectify the problemCan I safely uninstall the drivers ? And then how do I reinstall them ?
View 4 RepliesThe normal uninstall of old drivers in Device Manager isn't working. I am trying to update my Intel 7260AC Wi-Fi adapter to the latest Windows 10 drivers (18.12 from Intel's website). They won't install. The .exe runs but the drivers don't change and the new drivers aren't even listed in device manager to select. I can only select between two older driver versions that were once used under Win 8.1 (I upgraded).
When I try to uninstall the device, the check box to uninstall software isn't available. The device will uninstall but simply comes back with one of those two drivers. Is there another way to permanently remove them (e.g. where does Windows store driver software including registry entries). I would like to simply get rid of anything and try to get 18.12 drivers to install...I'm thinking they are somehow conflicting and preventing the install.
I'm having quite a bit of trouble removing the generic bluetooth drivers that Windows installs for you. Those have to be gone if I want to install Toshiba Bluetooth Stacks, which I need in order to use my Wii U Pro Controller in my computer. I've gone through a few methods to try this out and all have failed.
I started out by simply uninstalling the drivers on the device manager (or whatever it is called in English). Didn't work, as the drivers were back when I had to plug in my dongle to complete the installation for TBS. When I tried this in Windows 7, it worked flawlessly, yet in Windows 10 this method did not work.
Afterwards, I tried deactivating the forced driver signature, as well as make it so Windows Update doesn't automatically download any drivers it finds suitable. On top of this, I traveled into the INF folder of my Windows folder to do steps that Microsoft recommended: rename bth.inf to bth.inf.old and bth.pnf to bth.pnf.old. With all this, it should in theory work right? Nope, it didn't. Not even after a reset.
My last attempt involved unplugging my PC from the Internet as a first step, followed by everything else listed above and then a reset. The drivers were still back, bth.inf and bth.pnf somehow magically appearing in my Windows folder when I have no Internet access. I'm at a loss as to what I'm supposed to do.
So, I downloaded Windows 10 a week ago, and checked for updates, but no driver updates came up. But I know that my Video Card was out of date, as I kept getting an error and also, my Bluetooth is not working. Hence my point, is there any third party app that allows you to download and update drivers?
View 4 RepliesThis problem is on the last of eight machines I am upgrading. On all the others after installation the WHS connector did not work. I uninstalled it, restarted, reinstalled it and everything was Hunky Dory. Not this time!
The connector would not uninstall - error 2753.
I then uninstalled it manually, deleting the appropriate registry key but could not reinstall so undeleted the key.

Part of the issue is that some of the Windows server local services such as client backup and health service are marked to start automatically BUT DO NOT. They can be started manually and then Launchpad can be opened from ALL APPS but it should start automatically. I have just tried disabling and re-enabling it in System Configuration/Startup/Task Manager.
After the restart the green Launchpad sign in box appeared (it has before) I signed in then got the: the server appears to be offline message and then by magic the white sign in boxes disappeared leaving the four usual options: backup, remote web access, shared folders and dashboard. This is further than I have got so far BUT on pressing backup, it does not connect and just notice the white flag at bottom left of green Launchpad box is flashing indicating server offline so nut much progress at all if any.
I upgraded to windows10 from 8.1 and now do not have bluetooth drivers

View 9 RepliesI am using a desktop PC that does not have any Bluetooth devices, but Bluetooth is shown as on in the notification center. If I click on it there, it guides me to settings>devices, but there is no Bluetooth option there. I checked device manager and I do not have any Bluetooth devices and I have checked my Ethernet adapter settings and there is also no Bluetooth device there.
I have a second PC which also does not have Bluetooth and it does not appear in that one's notification center.
how to make it go away on my main PC?
Dell WLAN bluetooth driver is not installing on my laptop . I found out that the same driver is working fine on my friend's laptop and i even used same driver for windows 8.1 previously.While I install it ,it shows an error that "The installer cannot run on this platform...",,I even tried refreshing my laptop but still it didnot work..
View 19 RepliesI just purchased a recertified Asus Q302LA 2 in 1 convertible 13.3" Laptop which came with Windows 8 installed. When I upgraded to Windows 10, shortly after I got it, the Bluetooth would not function. It did function with the Windows 8.
On the "System Information" page I found at System Summary>Components>Storage>Problem Devices, this entry: Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE Device

This device cannot start.
I also found when double clicking on Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE in the Device Manager, and getting the "Properties" box; an entry for "Device Status" under the "General" tab that says: This device cannot start (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE
Also, under the "Events" tab in the "Properties" box there is an entry under "Information" that says:
Device BTHMS_BTHLE9&d0f185d&0&0 requires further installation.
I have checked for driver updates and there were none. There is no "Bluetooth" icon in the "Action Center" sidebar, instead there is a "Connect" icon, but I cannot connect my bluetooth headphones or a bluetooth keyboard. Just get the message "No Devices Found".
I have the only two services for "Bluetooth" on the Services page "running" with "Automatic" start. I did not find an entry for the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE.
Since the move to Windows 10 (from 7) I haven't been able to connect to my Bluetooth speaker. This worked for me under Windows 7. There is no bluetooth entry in the device manager.
I have a Dell Studio 1555. Both the WiFi and the Ethernet connection to the Internet are OK.
The computer is a dual boot machine with Ubuntu. The bluetooth feature does work in Ubuntu.
System Information: Asus Notebook UX303L, Windows 10, Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition. I just upgraded to Windows 10 (from windows 8.1) on a 2 month old laptop. On previous version there were NO problems with bluetooth. The problems started immediately after upgrade.
When the upgrade finished Windows 10 remembered all of my previous Bluetooth pairs. My bluetooth mouse (Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition) worked before the installation but after my system reboot the cursor no longer showed movement. The batteries are new. The mouse is acting exactly like it does when it is properly connected (lights flash, makes scrolling sounds, etc). When I checked the Bluetooth device screen it still showed as paired. I rebooted. No change. So I unpaired the device. When I unpaired the device it flashed for a second as a possible device to pair with and then was no longer on the list. Other possible devices to pair with appear and disappear from the list without cause. (Ex. sees a scanner for a few seconds then no longer has a scanner. Sometimes its up for a few minutes at most but the list is constantly flickering.) So I rebooted. Then it did not see the mouse at all. I did this for several days. Sometimes when I would turn on my laptop it would flicker, sometimes it would not.
After about 3 days with no explanation it suddenly showed up and did not flicker. I connected the mouse and it worked for about 2 days. On the 3rd day I tried again, and the cursor would no longer respond even though the mouse was acting exactly the same. I rebooted. No change. I unpaired the device and it never showed up on the list. It's flickered a few times but when I click on it to pair it pops up with an error basically saying "cannot pair. Please check and see if the device is still set to connect to bluetooth." That is only on the rare occasion that it actually shows up on the list long enough to hit pair (maybe 2 times out of 50 attempts or more.)
It is a Microsoft mouse by all means it should work on Microsoft drivers.

View 2 RepliesI just recently purchase a newish laptop recently off eBay. Its a HP ProBook 6470b, it didn't came with a hard drive so I pulled the SSD out of my old Dell 1545 which has windows 10 preinstalled. Long story short when I listen to music over Bluetooth to my stereo, the sound become very choppy and distorted. Specially if I do some typing, extreme processing or moving the trackpad it becomes really bad. If I don't type, move my mouse or have it idle on the music player its fine (most of the time).
I should mention at this present moment I don't have a hard disk caddy since I didn't come with one and I'm waiting it to arrive from Malaysia (so I'm just curious if that could be a culprit). I have tried different Bluetooth speakers and the same problem persists. I have tried my macbook, android tablet, surface and phone with the same reciever and it play musics without any problem whatsoever. I have tried updating, uninstalling and installing drivers and hasn't made that many difference (although disabling the Microsoft UE LE Eliminator useful somewhat). The driver is a broadcomm 20702 Bluetooth 4.0 adapter.
I have disable any enhancement in the sound settings and gone to devices and printer and disable any unnecessary services that is used by my bluetooth receiver but the problem is still present.
I have Dell Studio 1558, when I upgraded windows from 7 to 10, bluetooth have stopped working. It disappeared from Device Manager and i cant install it back.
View 9 RepliesI got onto my computer this morning and noticed that it had rebooted. Figured out it updated the latest patch. However, from that point on, I haven't been able to get anything from my computer. Wireless won't work, can connect to any bluetooth device, and none of my USB thumb drives will show up. I have tried logging back out, as well as rebooting. Nothing seems to be working. Since I can't connect to anything, I can't update any drivers (writing this on my mac... )
I tried uninstalling the patch, and it won't. Just spins. Tried to do a system restore, but it won't open up the dialog to allow me to choose. Tried to do diagnostics on the wireless driver and it just hangs. I have to shut it down.
The Bluetooth in my ASUS Q302 quit working. When inspecting the Device Manager I ran across this.
View 1 RepliesSo I have a Lenovo Z480 and just installed Windows 10 on it. I used to have Win7 earlier and i'm still using the same drivers. I tried Connecting my Samsung Galaxy S4 to it via Bluetooth and It woudnt even detect it. It detects other laptops around it though.
My phone also doesn't seem to detect the laptop but detects others.
