Bluetooth Mouse Lag When Directly In Tower
May 24, 2015
I have a bluetooth mouse, as you can tell from the title of this thread. I also have a USB extender cable that I usually use, but I'm travelling (With a tower, I know) and didn't bring that because I assumed that the thing would work right in the back of my tower...
I was wrong, and this thing lags around the screen horribly when it is plugged into the computer directly. But I have the extender cable plugged into the same USB port at home and when I have the receiver plugged into that, I never have any problemsI assume this is a Windows 10 thing, as it didn't happen on my old Vista computer, could also be a driver thing

I had to reinstall from scratch Windows 10 Enterprise 32-bit on my Dell Venue 8 Pro 32 GB tablet. After the first installation, the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse (both work fine under Windows 8.1), disconnected after 10-12 seconds. However, probably after one of the automatic updates, they started working normally (it took about a day or so).
Now, after the 2nd Windows 10 installation, the problem with Bluetooth keyboard and mouse reappeared. I forced the Windows updates, but no luck.
It's curious because, if I keep the Settings window active, on the Bluetooth page, both the keyboard and the mouse work. If I minimize the Settings window, after about 30 seconds, both devices stop working. If I close the Settings window, or move to a different settings page, both devices stop working immediately.
I have changed the Bluetooth Support Service from Manual to Automatic, but it did not work. Running the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter did not work either.

Recently, I acquired a Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse (3600). It works perfectly well, both on my Android tablet and on my old but efficient Netbook (still running valiantly under XP SP3). Never a problem in pairing the mouse on these two machines (and no problem either with the Logitech Bluetooth portable keyboard (K480), which is a real marvel in its own right). On the Android Lollipop tablet, Bluetooth is built in, while the built-in Bluetooth feature on the Netbook gave up some time ago, but was replaced by a dongle, which does its job without a hiccup.
So far, so good.On my desktop, running on Windows 10, which has no built-in Bluetooth capability (but the Bluetooth "service" coming with Windows), I use the same dongle as on the Netbook. With the Logitech keyboard mentioned above, no problem whatsoever: Bluetooth "sees" it immediately and pairs it in seconds - so there is certainly nothing wrong either with the dongle or with pairing a device, or the Bluetooth drivers and softwares, which came with the dongle, or with the Windows Bluetooth properties, which are correctly started and functioning.)
It's the Microsoft Mouse that presents an apparently intractable problem on that same desktop.
When activating the Mouse so that it can be detected when one wants to add a device, it is "seen" almost immediately. It is when wanting to pair the device to the machine that the problem arises. The pairing as such takes a far longer time than it normally does and when that operation concludes, I get error messages saying either that the mouse did not send the correct pairing code OR that it did not send a pairing reaction at all.
So, this is quite mysterious. Having a device that functions perfectly well with other machines, and not at all on my powerful desktop (while it can be detected, and while other devices function normally).I guess that the problem resides with that "code". However, Windows does not ask for it and Microsoft says that the mouse does not need one - which makes things even more strange, since it mentions a code when the pairing misfires. They are in Dutch (language of my Win OS) but the images speak for themselves. The error message on the 3rd screenshot says: "Communication with Bluetooth device has failed / No pairing reaction received". Sometimes (after bootup) the error message says failure but "Bluetooth device sends wrong code".

Just upgraded to Win 10 this morning, everything was smooth except for one thing: my Logitech Bluetooth keyboard and mouse stopped working. Looks like there's an error with the Broadcom Bluetooth USB driver, which is already the latest and greatest according to Windows, which obviously it ain't. Where to get working drivers? Surprisingly there's nothing about Windows 10 on Broadcom's site??

My wife is about the worst technophobic person you will ever find and I have our Win8.1 laptop set up so that it boots directly to the desktop. I will put a standard user profile for her but I would like to make Win 10 as easy for her to get used to as I can.

From first time untill 2 years ago I took photos with compact camera, report photo number and write (on a paper note) what I see. Go in office, download photo to my computer and report on a Word document with table (or excel). Lots of work hours gone away for nothing...
1 year ago I leveled UP... Buyed a new iPhone6 and used Google drive to share and modify my document. I finally can take photo and directly annotate what I see. At office I have only to do little change at files, no big work!
2 months after... I bought a Note4. Use Google drive to modify my document and add notes. Plus: Better with pen, bigger screen.
This is fully working right now Just a problem, Note4 or iPhone 6 screens are really tiny for my work, so...
So I think about SP4, a lot bigger screen , Try to do same things with my notebook (HP Core I5, SSD and Windows 10) with Office 2013/2016 and the integrated webcam. No way to do..
I can't take a photo and put DIRECTLY into the word document. I need to take photo and than import to my documents, that is a problems when I do my work. I can open Camera App and put in background, from Word can take a screenshot but I lose a lot of time and the details is not good. If I go inside Word16, insert pictures, I can see a shortcut to Windows 10 CameraRoll app. So I checked how to put here the Camera APP. NO WAY, again.
So check One Note. This can take a picture direct from camera, take notes. Checked on YouTube that I can write with the pen. Try to my notebook. I can't export OneNote file into Word DOC format.

I finally got around to building a computer and it was working fine until a few days ago I turned it on and something strange happened. Directly after the msi dragon bios prompt screen, when it should be booting Windows, the screen starts flashing white with two black squares on it. It only seems to happen after it has been off for some time, like over night, and after turning restarting it a few times it eventually works. For some reason invidia driver 355.82 does not like Windows 10 try darkbreeze's solution and install driver 355.60.Here is a parts list

msi Z97-G45
msi gtx960 4gb

So, this is a really weird problem I've only JUST started to encounter. I went to go overclock my CPU, as I've been playing FF14 a lot these past few months and figured an overclock would work out with the events taking massive chunks out of my framerate whenever I go near a populated area.
So, the Overclock failed, and I had to restart my computer and go back into the BIOS to reset everything to factory. This is where it gets weird. Now, whenever I boot up my PC it'll go into Windows but give me a 0xc0000225 Error. But, when I go into BIOS and go into the boot menu and boot my SSD from there, it works flawlessly. It's not a /massive' inconvenience I suppose, but it's still baffling.
I've got an Asus Z97-A Motherboard.

I use left handed mouse, and swapping left / buttons works OK. I also set the wheel button to be "double click". But the wheel button brings up the context menu instead of double click. If I change to right hand mouse, the wheel button gives double click as expected. how to make the wheel button give double click for left hand mouse?

Under the settings menu, I do not get the option to turn Bluetooth on or off. It has been suggested that this is a design feature where desktop PCs do not need a switch while Laptops get one, I don't know if this was the design plan. Any way in my case I am on a Samsung Notebook (which is a Laptop). It has also been suggested that windows 10 looks for the battery to make this decision, if so it may have been that my "Battery Saving" mode on the Samsung that confused the selection process. My battery is currently showing as 80% but not charging.

Just a while ago i was using my bluetooth just fine on my laptop with headsets. I lost connection (headset battery ran out) so i turned bluetooth off then quit the settings app. Going back, bam! no bluetooth settings. Trying to search "bluetooth" takes me to airplane mode and there are no bluetooth settings there. I don't know how to turn it back on again. Are there any third-party bluetooth software because this is the second time I'm having this problem (first was on windows 8.1) and often I had to restart the computer.

I freely admit that, in the greater scheme of crashes, re-installs and general weirdness that has been my Win10 experience to date, this is a very tiny thing. But it's annoying me. I'm using CSR bluetooth stack 2.1.63. First time I installed it, it worked perfectly. Now I'm on a more successful rebuild, I cannot get the correct Bluetooth icon in the task bubble! It's always grayed out (and even this was a challenge; I had no icon until I re-did the driver installation twice.)
It struck me that it might not be too hard to either change Windows' path to the icon or replace the grey one with blue. If only I knew where to look. What do you think?

My Bluetooth connection to my PC under Windows 7 worked perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy phone. Since upgrading to Windows 10 I can pair the phone OK, have it show up as a paired Bluetooth device, but when sending files to the PC the connection is made, transfer looks to start then fails each time. The scale bar that appears on screen shows a 1/3rd distance happen, then stops. Message is "connection fails". I also have a PC running WIndows 8.1. Is there some "option" or blocking that is happening; something I need to switch on/off or disable.

My laptop is Acer Aspire 7741z-4806 ... I don't have Bluetooth option in my laptop.
Settings > Devices has no Bluetooth option listed.
I have searched the web and some postings said my particular model does not have Bluetooth included.
Yet, in my Services, there are 2 listings of Bluetooth.
Further question............. is there any Bluetooth program I can download to my laptop? I had run into one called NFC but it did nothing.
