I have tried clear type, doing the reinstallation of the font packages, but none of them worked and I still have blurry font in games and it makes it hard to read. Because Mine font folder is corrupt.
I updated windows, did sfc/scannow defrag disk, chkdsk, try repairing windows, all don't work.
I'm experiencing fuzzy/blurry font and icons for some of the applications. For example: Dell touchpad circular scrolling icon is fuzzy, while on 8.1 it was fine. Even the text in Device manager is fuzzy, while on the properties window of this PC it is fine. See below:-
I have a problem with my computer after installing w10 in games totally random i get a 0.5s freeze or when i watch movies the video gets blurry/grey for 1sec(still working and playing).
I am having major problems after upgrading free to windows 10. I upgraded just around 30 minutes ago after posting this and my screen has gotten more blurry and whenever i want to play any of my first person shooter games, i run into extreme lag that renders the entire game unplayable. My games were running fine before i have upgraded. In fact, they ran better then fine, they ran great. Not sure what to do but i am thinking it might have something to do with the increased blurriness. I have also noticed that everything seems slightly bigger on my screen after the upgrade. The extreme lag is definitely not being caused by my computer. It is a custom built gaming desktop and the lag only started immediately after i upgraded.
I recently reinstalled Fallout 3 but noticed every time I saved, they weren't detected in the Load screen. I checked the folder (C:UsersAlien2DocumentsMy GamesFallout3) and my saves were there! So the game is saving, but I'm unable to load any of them cuz they aren't getting detected.
I have Windows 10 which warns me the game is not optimized, but it runs fine. Also, I want to note I did not have to install Games for Windows Live when I installed fallout 3 through Steam, but when I click the warning Windows 10 gives me about the game not running properly, it sends me straight to an install link for GfWL which I decided to reinstall.
I had hoped to use the migrate method where you'd move the save files from My Games/Fallout 3 into whatever profile folder there is made from GfWL but after reinstalling and logging into my old account it didn't work.why I can't load my games?
I upgraded my Lenovo U310 laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 a week ago. Everything seems to have upgraded successfully. The only problem that I can find is that none of the video streaming from Windows 10 apps can be played. I get an error 'Unsupported video type or invalid file path' when I click on a video article in USA Today or when I try to stream video from any other apps, NBC News, MSN Money, etc... from Windows 10 store.
I have no issue streaming videos from any of the browser though. What could be missing that could cause video streaming to fail?
Since installing Windows 10 my video picture is upside down and there is no sound. I can see the other party correctly but neither of us can hear. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Windows 10. Windows Media Player works ok. Skype Echo 123 doesn't work.
I got a brand new laptop and updated to windows 10 from windows 8.1.Windows makes me hate windows 10. There were issues like monitor brightness and sound. But now both are fixed after updating the drivers, i guess. I have laptop with 1080p resolution, for reading purposes. 15.6 inches though. So the GUI looks really small when its at 100 display ratio (or whatever its called). So i have increased the ratio to 150% and most of the applications have gone super blurry.
I have looked for fixes online, but all the solutions i have found do not work.I have tried XPE Windows 10 DPI Fix. (Did not work)I have tried putting a cmd file in start up. (Did not work)Now i am rethinking why i bought a windows laptop.
My specs: Make - ASUS OS - Windows 10 (Previous 8.1) Resolution - 1920x1080 Screen size - 15.6 inch Windows Updates - Up to date
After I updated my drivers and tried to scale to dpi solution I found on reddit the startmenu sometimes is still blurry and the color doesn't match the taskbar.
I attached two pictures with the ok startmenu and the not so good startmenu.
What's with some of the blurriness with text on some sites. For example, the main navigation of apple.com is all fuzzy. Doesn't happen in Chrome or Firefox.
I've just updated Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. It's pretty nice but I found that the text is a little blurry at some areas of the screen. Not everywhere but on some areas The resolution is 1366x768 - as it should be but I the text is blurry anyways. Here's an image:
Win10 with 3 monitors: 4k 27" monitor and two 24" 1920x1080 monitors.
Windows suggested 150% dpi for the 4k and 100% for the others.
4k looks great but the 24" (with 100% dpi!) looks terrible. The text is all blurry.
I saw many similar issues [URL] ....and tried the registry changes, but all fixes (including the utility that is out there) set all monitors to the same DPI.
I can't do 100% in the 4k, it's too small, and I must do 100% in the small screens, otherwise it's too big. Got latest drivers for my GeForce GTX 970 and monitors (vendors drivers for all monitors). I really don't want to let go of my 4k, but it is impossible to use the other ones.
I attached an example for when the 4k is d/c (top) and when it is connected (bottom) from the 24" monitor. it is not really text but is shows how terrible it is, I simply can't read for more than a few minutes.
I just updated to Windows 10 and already having problems. I have a dual monitor setup and back on windows 8, both monitors had a good display. Now on windows 10, my main monitor has a blurry or less quality compared to my second monitor. It was always fine until I switched windows.
I upgraded to the Windows 10 becouse I was looking forward to per monitor DPI feature. This feature works well - except for the non-high DPI aware apps. These apps are rendered using DPI virtualization and appear blurry on high DPI displays. I've read some MS articles about it - the application is rendered using standard 96 DPI and then scaled up. Which seems wrong to me. The base DPI should be configurable!
I have a high-DPI display in my laptop and sometimes use classic external display. Why should I suffer blurry apps on my main display? If I use the "all displays same DPI fix" all apps are sharp. So if the base render DPI would match main display, I could get sharp image. And the scaled-down window on external display should look much better than the scaled up window.
I assume the value of render DPI isn't a registry key, but it is a hardoced constant in code. But it should be possible to change it with some nasty dissassembling, etc. I am not afraid of it. However I have no clue, where to start looking for it.
So I have installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2016 (latest update) on my system running Windows 10 X64. I always change my Monitor Scale to 125% , after the scaling the icon looks awful.
But when Kaspersky is scanning something (animation icon) - the icon looks crystal sharp, but when Kaspersky is idle, that icon become blurry again.
I have tested other Antiviruses e.g. Bitdefender / Eset - non of them were like Kaspersky.
First Image, is when Kaspersky was scanning some file. Second Image, is when Kaspersky is idle.
So I assume this issue isn't related to Kaspersky, because the icon can be up-scaled w/out loosing quality!
Have a user with a Sony vaio laptop, 15" screen, 1920x1080. They also plug an HDMI cable into a 23" dell widescreen monitor for a second display. This 23" monitor is also 1920x1080. They are complaining that fonts on this second monitor are blurry. They tried to live with it a week but they said can it be made clear again like it was when they had Windows 7?
Are you familiar with the possibility of fonts being blurry only on one monitor if they are both set to the native?
I'm asking them to see if they change the font dpi to 100%, logoff and on if its any better. For whatever reason that seemed to work for my laptop (another Sony Vaio), but my concern is they will be disappointed at legibility on the laptop screen (it makes everything tiny).

I just noticed something odd tonight when browsing through my photos in Windows 10 10240. Almost all the pictures from my camera roll are blurry / low res when viewing in the new photos app. I compared them side by side on my other PC right next to it running 8.1 pro and it is night and day. The same pictures appear crisp and clean in the traditional windows photo viewer. I know that i have two different monitors with different resolutions but i never noticed a problem before when i had 8.1 on the pc that now has windows 10.
I think this is a real problem with the app in windows 10 because a) when i zoom into those photos that are blurry they become clear when zoomed in enough and b) it is very noticeable, something that i never picked up before when i was on 8.1. Now when i view wallpapers or downloaded images from the internet they seem to be clear so it doesnt really make much sense why it is just my camera roll pictures from my Lumia 929.
I got a new laptop last weekend and I've noticed an issue with it. I believe it is a software problem.
The screen is a 1080p screen and everything looks great however in some apps, the text becomes blurry. The blurry text only appears in nested sections of an app (not sure if nested is correct). What I mean is, it will show up in installers or event viewer but not firefox or explorer etc.
i recently upgrade my sp3 to November update and realize some tiles become blurry in tablet mode. ( fine in desktop mode). I tried uninstall and re install intel graphics driver and it didn't fix the problem.
I have a laptop. Acer e5-571g to be precise. So, i had a problem with an hdmi cable to tv - had no sound. Did a bit of research, tried some things out, nothing. Unplugged the cable and my screen icons went large, screen is blurry now. Drivers, i think, are up to date. Screen resolution is not the problem, icons are set to small. Restarted the computer too. Oh, and i have windows 10.
