Windows 10 on Asus all in one PC
Gmail does not display any incoming mail. Outlook.com will import them from Gmail, but will not itself display any incoming mail. Have resorted to using AOL.COM address as alternative mail address.
I opened Gmail from inside Chrome, and deleted an email. Then opened Windows 10 Mail and the email is still in my inbox?
I've clicked the sync icon in mail, but that didn't work.
Gmail is my main email and I have it set up in the Mail app. It's configured to use Notifications but I'm not getting anything when email arrives. Does notifications only work with Outlook accounts?
View 9 RepliesHaving got all of my standard stuff, including having MS Outlook handle my email accounts, sorted out; I decided to give the new Windows 10 Mail Application a try.
Unfortunately I cannot get it to do a darned thing:-
1. With my Hotmail account I get error code 0x80070032. I've tried a couple of suggested "solutions" without success.
2. With my Gmail account I get "We didn't find anything to show here" or "Still working on it". Either way nothing shows up.
Maybe I should just stick with MS Outlook.
when I change my sync setting of Gmail in windows 10 mail app, ie; sync mails from any time, it stop synchronizing the mails . It happens both in Gmail normal emails as well as gmail app mails.
View 2 RepliesMy OS is Windows 10. I have been using MS Office Outlook for my email. I've used it for years. A few weeks ago I decided to try gmail so I set up an account. I did not give anyone my gmail address but for some reason I started to get a lot of my email from friends who have my Outlook address. I even got some of the junk mail on gmail. I then shut down my gmail account as I don't like it. Then I noticed that I wasn't getting much email. So I opened my gmail account and there were dozens of email messages there. Here's my problem. I want to close my gmail account but then I'll miss all of the messages that will go there. My question is. How can I stop messages from going to the gmail?

View 1 RepliesI would like to disable all Windows 10 system sounds except for the sound for incoming emails in Mail. I tried to do this but failed. I went to Settings - Personalization - Themes - Advanced sound settings, changed the Sound Theme to No Sounds and then changed New Mail Notification from Non to a sound. Clicked Apply and OK. However, there is no sound for incoming mails in Mail.
View 6 RepliesI use Outlook 2016 as my e-mail program and it has always worked great. A few days ago I noticed that I was not getting some e-mail that had been sent to me. I know this because the e-mail was sent to a group. I had one of the group members forward the e-mail to me. I checked everything out in that message and it was totally correct. As a matter of fact 10 minutes earlier that same sender had sent another group e-mail and I got that one. The e-mail sender checked to see that the message was sent and not bounced back for some reason.
The problem has gotten worse, yesterday I almost got no e-mail and I know that I was sent a bunch of stuff. I even went to my neighbor and sent myself a test e-mail and it did not arrive. I am pretty sure it is not my system causing the problem because I have an Android tablet and it does not get the e-mails either. The thing that really has me puzzled is I am still getting some e-mail, mainly from advertisers.
I contacted my Internet Service Provider yesterday to see if they are having some problem. They are checking into it but there is nothing they are aware about.
Is there a reason Action Center doesn't notify me of all my incoming emails? Just a quick Q I have...
View 4 RepliesHad many many compatibility problems with windows 10. HP have been brilliant. I have to use firefox now because 10 doesn't like chrome. It doesn't like avg either.
anyway, I recently had a hip replacement and have other medical issues. I desperately need to send a document that i scanned on my phone to the google drive on my new laptop.
I have the same issue with sending myself an email of my personal spreadsheets.
simply put I have gone from vista to 10, I am trying to teach myself. I use firefox now with settings to gmail. I have downloaded adobe file reader, but no matter what i do i cannot email anything using my gmail email. I do not want to use outlook
I'd like to be able to pin Gmail icon to the task bar, but it attaches to my Mozilla Icon. On windows xp and window 7, the icon link always showed in the TB. Have tried 4 or 5 times, but still no luck.

How do I set it up not to start automatically.
Since upgrading to Win 10 last week, I have not been able to send emails from Gmail in Outlook 2013.
It was fine in Win 8.1.
My email settings are
IMAP
Outgoing server requires authentication - is ticked
Incoming = 993 with SSL
Outgoing = 587 with TLS
All other setting as normal. When I run a test it comes back as good and will receive emails, but nothing will send.
I notice an unpleasant GUI-level change that appears after the upgrade to 1511. The issue seem to exist on all machines after 1511 upgrade.
Firstly, Google Chrome shortcut pinned to Start Menu now appears on dark gray tile, instead of the regular "color accent" tile. Is this a bug or a feature?
Secondly, an attempt to pin the Chrome-generated GMail shortcut to Start Menu immedaitely loses its dedicated icon and gets a regular Chrome icon instead. E.g. before the upgrade it was possible to pin the GMail link to the Start Menu and it would retain its GMail icon. After the upgrade it is no longer possible to keep the icon.
Yesterday mid-day my Edge browser screen-font-size suddenly went from "normal" to miniscule.At the time I was reading info on a sports web-site. Just prior to that my touch-pad (ASUS laptop) suddenly reverted to having the touch-pad feature "TAP" as ON, and because I have a small shake in my hand, this feature most-often causes problems.
When I converted from Win 8.1 to Win10 a few weeks ago I immediately searched for and found the option (under ASUS Smart Gesture app) and turned all TAP features off. It worked fine until yesterday. I searched for possible solutions and discovered I could not access ASUS Smart Gesture, so I re-installed it- that feature is now turned off again, but I cannot get Edge to display in normal font-size. That's the only place it occurs
So, instead of using my browser for my emails I set them up in Windows Mail, but although it will show all the folders it won't show anything in my inboxes. I've tried syncing but to no avail.

After successful upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7, I can send emails but cannot receive mail in outlook 2010.
Getting message: Task '……….@sbi.ae - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
Also successfully run the SFC /scannow tool without any error.
the email offered an update to windows live mail ,so I did it and now mail will not stay open ,,, I cant even get to the email to copy its contents here ,I will have to look on my other machine to get it ... I never line the new mail app ,just because it new maybe and not use to it, I will use outlook.com instead for Microsoft mail..
View 9 RepliesI need to reinstall Windows 10 on a duel booting computer, on separate drives and whilst I can transfer most of the personal data off the Win 10 drive to a new temp folder on the other drive and then back later to a newly installed clean version of Win 10 on the original drive, I cannot ascertain the various email data files (all of them). I have 4 separate email accounts in "live mail".
View 3 RepliesI mistakenly chose IE as the browser for my emails to open in when I imported my mails from outlook and I wish to change this to MS Edge. How to I go about this? I've checked in the settings, but it doesn't seem to have what I'm looking for. MY IE doesn't function as well as Edge and I'd like to correct this.
