Browser/Email :: How To Email Pictures From Photo App
Feb 1, 2016
Desktop Dell Inspiron 560 4gb RAM; high speed cable; MS Windows10 64bit; Windows Live Mail 2012(awful!!!); MS Word Pro 2003; Mozilla Firefox; Avast AV; Windows Media Player; Adobe Reader; Adobe flash Player]
I've written a letter on my email and included a few photos. I have W10 and I simply can't understand its photo app! Since I don't know how to transfer some of these photos in W10 ro my email so that the recipient can enlarge them and with one more click can see the next ones, I decided to copy them instead and then paste them on my email.
QUESTION: Do you think that doing this copy/paste will give the recipient what I just described above? I do have Photo Gallery but in this W10 I don't know how to use it.
This is not a problem just a observation. I noticed something strange when I went to download Brink's reg file to bring back the Photo Viewer. Either Pale Moon or Windows 10 thinks it's a .TS video file.
Whenever I open a link in email I get asked which browser I want to use. I have selected Explorer as my default browser and I keep checking the box that says "always use this app" It is very frustrating. How do I make Windows 10 understand that I always want to use IE.
the email offered an update to windows live mail ,so I did it and now mail will not stay open ,,, I cant even get to the email to copy its contents here ,I will have to look on my other machine to get it ... I never line the new mail app ,just because it new maybe and not use to it, I will use outlook.com instead for Microsoft mail..
I am having trouble configuring Outlook 2010 on a new Windows 10 Pro clean install so that mail from multiple Gmail and Comcast accounts all go into 1 PST file. I would like to have 1 inbox for all 5 email accounts.
Even when I use "Manually configure Server settings" and specify an existing PST on D:Outlook, Outlook creates a new PST file on C:Users(My Username)AppDataLocalMicrosoftOutlook.
I need to reinstall Windows 10 on a duel booting computer, on separate drives and whilst I can transfer most of the personal data off the Win 10 drive to a new temp folder on the other drive and then back later to a newly installed clean version of Win 10 on the original drive, I cannot ascertain the various email data files (all of them). I have 4 separate email accounts in "live mail".
I have been using Windows Live Mail for years and have 3 email accounts synced in it. After some recent changes to my PC, the program is suddenly very slow to change between email folders. What I mean specifically is if I click on one inbox, and then click on my deleted folder, there is literally a 5 second delay before the view is switched to the new folder. This has never happened before, it normally take mere milliseconds to change between my email folders. Switching between any folders at all, even if they are empty, takes 5 seconds!!
As for the changes made to my pc, I recently was screwing around with my drive partitions and made a really stupid mistake. I accidentally created a new volume which took up my whole secondary HDD (not my OS drive, but where my emails are stored). Some quick google searching got me a free software that recovered my partitions and after a quick reboot my PC appeared to be working fine again. Except for Windows Live Mail... which when I opened had lost all my email accounts. I re-added them, and for some reason they started to download all my emails from the internet and wouldn't recognize the mail folders where all my emails are stored on my secondary hard drive.
It took over an hour to download all the emails again, which were stored in the default location on my OS drive. I normally keep them on a secondary HDD to save space on my OS SSD, so I was forced to delete all the emails on my secondary HDD where I normally keep them and then direct Windows Live Mail to move all the emails it had just downloaded to the location I just deleted my emails from.
So at the end of the day I made a really dumb mistake, fixed it, and then had to do this weird workaround solution to get my email storage working the way I am used to. All this screwing around now when I use my email it is super slow to switch between folders...
I have already tried doing a full defrag of the drive where my email is stored, as well as a repair of windows live essentials from the control panel. I have heard that addons can cause problems like this in WLM but until today I didn't even know WLM had addons. What I can do before I try reinstalling Windows Live Mail. If I do that I will have to re-download all my emails again...
I've already been to the Custom Default Programs settings, Yahoo! Mail is not listed. I want to be able to use a program not related to a browser, with an E-mail link, and it automatically send me to a browser with my E-mail so I can start composing the message.
I have my own domain's email which uses Outlook itself. I can login via Live.com or Outlook.com and it works fine but I am unable to set it up via Outlook 2016.
Microsoft has provided me the following mail configuration in the Outlook.com settings:
Server name: pop-mail.live.com Port: 995 Encryption method: SSL
Server name: smtp-mail.live.com Port: 587 Encryption method: TLS
But when I use this I get the following error ....
I can see where one can choose which email client to use as the default in the system settings, but Thunderbird is not listed in the available options.
I have a tablet and in Win 8.1 I could swipe in from the right and click share this would open the email app and I could send the document. How can I do a quick share in Windows 10? There is no swipe in to get the charms..
I do not know how this contact got into my address book, but I can not delete it. It is the echo sound service from skype.
All other contacts can be deleted with a right click and delete, but not this one. How can I delete this entry or shall I just ignore it. I suppose it got added by installing skype.
MS Outlook will not send email after windows 10 upgradeI loaded windows 10 from windows 7 and found that MS outlook would not send email. After searching google I found a reference to the SFC tool.close outlookOpen a command prompt in the administrator level
run sfc /scannow it runs about 15 minuets after completion, close command window reopen outlook and you will now be able to run outlook
This might be a really stupid question but i CANNOT find the setting to combine all my email accounts on the Windows 10 email app and it's really frustrating me, i searched all over google and can't find anything I just dont see the option anywhere.
Having set up a POP3 email account within WIN 10 Preview, 10565, I'm unable to locate how to remove a received email from my provider's server. I'm prepared to hang my head in shame if it turns out the solution was really before my eyes, or is otherwise trivial.
There is this window that pops up every day and is titled email and says that there is no email program associated with the requested action. Any info on how I can make this go away forever? I have already tried looking for the associated program and going to default programs.
I have an Outlook account, of course, but I don't use it. Instead I use my Yahoo email, but for some reason the new app won't let me add it. Instead it only wants my Outlook email. Is there and way to add a Yahoo email?
This is what I get when I select Add Account in Mail settings.
I have tried & tried changing security information in my hotmail account. I never receive an email from them with a code. I tried different email addresses & checked all my settings. I'm getting my other emails.
I have my hotmail account associated with Mail app in windows 10. I want to add my gmail account to Mail app but I just can't do it. When I click in Add an account in Mail app, nothing happens. I tried to click on Add an account in Settings --> Your email account, but nothing happens. I can't neither delete my hotmail account. When I click on Manage, nothing happens.
What I can do to resolve this problem? I'm running windows 10 pro on a Dell XPS 13.
I am still having problems trying to set up my isp email through windows 10. I know my settings are correct, yet still it says there's a problem.
When I try to sync the account, first it asks me to update the password, which I just did prior to syncing, then after running the sync, nothing loads and it says 'We didn't find anything to show here" and theres a triangle beside my account with an exclamation mark inside it.
When I click on the triangle it opens up again asking me to update the password for that account. Which I do, and I hit save. So I click on Sync, and the cycle begins all over again.
I have deleted the account and re-entered it again, with no success
Creating "New Email" just stopped working as it normally does. It shows in the task bar as "Untiltled - Message" but does not show in Outlook and when I click on the mini window, I only see the desktop.
how I can select ALL and have all the emails listed "ticked" for deletion or to move? I see there is a "tick" button, but then you have to manually select each one...
I need to annotate some pictures that I'm attaching to an email. I want to be able to draw arrows or put text boxes on the pictures to note dimensions, etc. I tried Windows Paint, but that doesn't work very well at all.
I am on vacation in Mexico, Outlook and Edge/Firefox timeout (Laptop) when I try to search/update. HOWEVER my Kaspersky virus dB update can access the Internet with no issues when I run it. I had no problems at home, the only difference is I am trying to connect at the hotel in Mexico. I have tried connecting with both wireless and lan, changed both to trusted networks and rebooted. Same problem, can't connect. The network is fine, I am using my tablet connected to the network to send this question. Is this some location/security setting in Windows 10?
