Oct 26, 2015Have run into a wired issue, and I'm not quite sure why. After upgrading to Windows insider build 10565 I am not able to open bing.com as my homepage in either Edge or Internet explorer 11. I can open any other page without issue, but not Bing. If I set google as my home page... first time every time, no problem, set it back to Bing...Can not find requested page pops in after about 30 seconds of trying to connect. Have cleared cache, run DISM diagnostics, nothing reports as an issue. If I set Bing as a Favorite in the favorites bar, open to google as my home page then click the link, it opens without issue, but when set as the home page... How to correct it.
Now it won't open from the favorites link either, same message: This page can't be displayed
Make sure the web address Bing is correct.Look for the page with your search engine. Refresh the page in a few minutes.

Sep 13, 2015It's been a while since I have been on here since I haven't had many issues. But, I have ran into an issue with Internet Explorer 11. It won't let me change my home page to Bing and MSN. It says it's already set to Bing and MSN. But whenever I open IE 11, it pulls up my ISP's home page.

I current have the default homepage where all the news and everything are there as soon as I open edge. but I HATE bing as my search engine and would like to change it to Google search engine but keep the same home page is there anyway to do this?

Dec 26, 2015Firefox 43.0.2 and Win 10 ... when use Cortana and speak 'Open Firefox', Firefox starts but does not open at the defined Home Page ... instead starts at a Google search with a search argument of "Open Firefox".
Firefox is defined to be the default browser and after FF starts the Home Page can be accessed by clicking the 'Home page icon'.
When FF is started without using Cortana, the Home page is displayed.

Dec 22, 2015I have tried countless ways to delete Yahoo and Bing search engines from my laptop but to no avail. How to do this? I have tried the options route on the toolbar, the add/remove programs in the Control Panel and a piece of software downloaded from the internet which would 'clean' out malware. Nothing seems to have changed. I am supposed to be using Mozilla Firefox which is being listed as my default browser.

Mar 5, 2016I cannot get the My yahoo site to load on either IE or Firefox. It's supposed to be my home page and has all my bookmarks on it. I can get to Yahoo mail and sports, but the home page can't be displayed. Firefox said it was on another server and the path couldn't be completed.

Nov 21, 2015I receive many e-mails in my Yahoo account every day since I am subscribed to many threads in this forum. Recently I noticed that I cannot access Yahoo mail. In Yahoo support they suggest deleting the browsing history. I did it and was able to access my e-mails again only to have the same problem next day. Is there any setting in Internet Explorer or Yahoo that would fix the problem without having to delete browsing history every day? Since I mostly use IE I am not sure if this problem appears in Microsoft Edge, Firefox or Google Chrome, but I would prefer keep using IE.

Jan 28, 2016I am still having problems trying to set up my isp email through windows 10. I know my settings are correct, yet still it says there's a problem.
When I try to sync the account, first it asks me to update the password, which I just did prior to syncing, then after running the sync, nothing loads and it says 'We didn't find anything to show here" and theres a triangle beside my account with an exclamation mark inside it.
When I click on the triangle it opens up again asking me to update the password for that account. Which I do, and I hit save. So I click on Sync, and the cycle begins all over again.
I have deleted the account and re-entered it again, with no success

Nov 9, 2015I've faced this issue many times, and I still don't know what can I do to download an audio or video from a webpage to my computer. I have JDownloader2 installed, and for example, if I add a YouTube link, it analyses it and I can download the audio or the audio+video, choosing the quality. This can be done in many, many sites.
But sometimes, this method does not work at all. For example, right now I'm trying to download the audio from here:

If I add any of those links to JD, it won't find anything to download. I know I can record my screen or audio, but that's way too newbie. I want to download directly the audio source, without loosing quality.

Oct 18, 2015Since installing Win 10 I have had a variety of problems with Chrome and in general reinstalling has temporarily solved the problem. I have the latest version of Chrome installed but I occasionally have a page freeze and Chrome asks me if I want to wait or kill the page. If I kill the page, Chrome is unresponsive and other tabs no longer display the page selected.
I can restart Chrome to revisit the pages I had been working with but I have found it simpler and speedier to use Edge which has no such problems. I will wait until Microsoft/Google resolve the Win 10/Chrome incompatibilities.
I prefer Chrome's presentation and ease of use of favourites (I cannot delete any imported favourites in Edge) so I will await further updates.

Feb 23, 2016The upper right profile picture on the default Startup Page of Microsoft Edge doesn't update.It keeps displaying the first profile picture I used when I installed Windows 10.Maybe it's a detail for most of the people but being a nitpicker, and not being given any option to modify it directly (and it should be tied to the Microsoft Account.All my other (tied to Microsoft account) profile pictures, on my phone (Nokia 1020/909) as well as on the online Microsoft services and Windows 10 update correctly, almost instantly, but not this one.
By the way, any valid link to download the WinDbg tool for Windows 10 (not the 8.1 one)?The official one doesn't work. Had found one that was working but I can't find it again. Got some random BSOD, probably tied to (a)faulty RAM stick(s), but I need to do further investigations, and the system restore deleted the tool installation.

Sep 20, 2015How do I turn off the mouse auto click when it hovers over a link in a web page. I downloaded the windows 10 and it has started doing this. I can't find a thing anywhere about this issue. I have an Asus laptop and a Toshiba laptop and they are both doing this since getting the windows 10. I spend more time going back to my original page than I get to read the original page! Try shopping and reading a description. Taking a test online was challenging to say the least.

Aug 2, 2015Downloaded and installed 10 successfully, but when I try to open Chrome, I get a blank page with the spinning circle that says "loading". Tried to contact Microsoft customer support and was on hold for more than an hour.
The only reason I am able to post here is that I un-installed it and I'm back to Windows 7.

Aug 23, 2015I loaded the windows 10 upgrade on my HP G60 notebook and now the desktop home page just flashes between blank and showing my desktop icons. I am unable to do anything else with it. I have tried all the shutdowns and reboots but nothing is working. So basically I have a useless laptop that im not too happy about. I should also mention that I was running windows 7
