Dec 5, 2015I have a Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3, it was upgraded from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 10 early august. Working find everything until updating to version 1511 in november, after rebooting with the new version the WiFi appears disconnected, it only shows airplane mode and I can only connect to internet by cable. I have tried changing drivers, disconnecting and reconnecting wireless, even going back to former Windows 10 version, etc. but no way. WiFi appears with a red cross!. Why WiFi worked so fine in the former version and why it´s disconnected in the new version?.

Oct 20, 2015I have been using Windows Live Mail for years and have 3 email accounts synced in it. After some recent changes to my PC, the program is suddenly very slow to change between email folders. What I mean specifically is if I click on one inbox, and then click on my deleted folder, there is literally a 5 second delay before the view is switched to the new folder. This has never happened before, it normally take mere milliseconds to change between my email folders. Switching between any folders at all, even if they are empty, takes 5 seconds!!
As for the changes made to my pc, I recently was screwing around with my drive partitions and made a really stupid mistake. I accidentally created a new volume which took up my whole secondary HDD (not my OS drive, but where my emails are stored). Some quick google searching got me a free software that recovered my partitions and after a quick reboot my PC appeared to be working fine again. Except for Windows Live Mail... which when I opened had lost all my email accounts. I re-added them, and for some reason they started to download all my emails from the internet and wouldn't recognize the mail folders where all my emails are stored on my secondary hard drive.
It took over an hour to download all the emails again, which were stored in the default location on my OS drive. I normally keep them on a secondary HDD to save space on my OS SSD, so I was forced to delete all the emails on my secondary HDD where I normally keep them and then direct Windows Live Mail to move all the emails it had just downloaded to the location I just deleted my emails from.
So at the end of the day I made a really dumb mistake, fixed it, and then had to do this weird workaround solution to get my email storage working the way I am used to. All this screwing around now when I use my email it is super slow to switch between folders...
I have already tried doing a full defrag of the drive where my email is stored, as well as a repair of windows live essentials from the control panel. I have heard that addons can cause problems like this in WLM but until today I didn't even know WLM had addons. What I can do before I try reinstalling Windows Live Mail. If I do that I will have to re-download all my emails again...
Browser/Email :: Google Chrome - Get Blank Page With Spinning Circle That Says Loading
Aug 2, 2015Downloaded and installed 10 successfully, but when I try to open Chrome, I get a blank page with the spinning circle that says "loading". Tried to contact Microsoft customer support and was on hold for more than an hour.
The only reason I am able to post here is that I un-installed it and I'm back to Windows 7.
I primarily use the computer for internet access, word processing and e-mail.

Dec 19, 2015My mail and calendar apps have just suddenly disappeared. I've tried the uninstall trick using powershell and reinstall but still missing the apps. I've also tried a sfc /scannow but no luck. The Microsoft Store reports the apps as installed.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro v1511.
Browser/Email :: Outlook Suddenly Displaying At Wrong Size In Edge
Dec 16, 2015Not sure if this is a MS issue. Default zoom setting for Edge is 125% but Outlook email is suddenly really tiny in size despite Edge showing 125%. The right hand 30% of the screen is now just empty white space. If I change it to 100% and back to 125% then it corrects until I close and reopen Edge. No other tabs are affected.

Jul 30, 2015I just got Windows 10 and it's giving me a whole bunch of problems that really annoyed me to the point where I want to go back to Windows 8.1. First thing is that my mouse keeps showing the busy/loading symbol right next to it constantly. It just appears and disappears in like a split second. Every time it does this it messes up my computer in some way like if I'm playing Minecraft and I'm holding the W key, it would cancel the action of the W key so I can't even move forward. I've checked all solutions and I have like no back ground applications running besides Steam, Skype, Origin and Norton. The other problem is the fact that I can't download Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Beta. I redeemed my code and everything and I can't play it.

Aug 23, 2015The loading symbol keeps flashing which is effecting what I can do on my computer. For example on Microsoft edge I will be typing and then it will suddenly select the text, so when I do my next letter it deletes everything I have done. It also effects things like drop down menu's or when I left click by going of it so I don't have time to select the option I want.
This does not seem to happen all the time but it currently is and has been since I turned my pc on.
It has only happened since I have downloaded windows 10. I do not have windows 8.1 on my computer as I deleted it so I cant really go back to download it again.
Browser/Email :: Default Browser Keeps Changing From IE11 Back To Either Edge Or Blank
Jan 23, 2016I am having a problem whereby my default browser keeps changing from IE11 back to either Edge or blank. Why this might be happening or what program is causing it to change? I thought it maybe the Windows Auto Update that keep changing but am now not so sure of that since the last recorded update is back on 14th January and my default Browser got changed again last evening.
The only other programs that run regularly are Norton Internet Security and Norton Utilities. However, I have been through the settings of both of those programs and cannot detect anything that would indicate that they change the default Browser.
Also, in IE11 under the advanced tab I have ticked the option the "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default web browser" and yet (a) I do not get a notification and (b) the default browser keeps getting changed.
Browser/Email :: Chrome Browser Opening Pages After Sleep Mode
Nov 28, 2015After I upgraded to latest windows 10 build (1151) ,I seem to have a problem of Chrome opening the first several requested web pages after computer comes out of "sleep" mode. I get the page that says cannot connect . After I hit retry it finds it . Sometimes the web pages don't load properly ie no pictures , just a listing or the picture color is not right. After a reload it works fine. After the first few pages of problems everything works fine again. It's like Windows or Chrome is having some delays accessing the requested pages when starting from a sleep mode.

Aug 15, 2015Edge is a great browser! However one thing I really miss from IE is having my favorites sidebar always visible at all times. With Edge you have to select it EACH TIME and pin it to the window display. This becomes a real pain and seems unnecessary. Is it possible to configure the favorite's sidebar to be always on by default? A real extra would be to have it on the left hand side again like IE which seemed to have this facility/capability just right. The horizontal favorites across the top is useless because so few are visible. (No luck with other forums) else I'm going back to IE.

I can still use Explorer but Edge had some features I liked and I would like to go back to it before too long. Oct 6, 2015I upgraded my computer to Windows 10, however I cannot play Flash content in Edge browser. It is enabled in the advanced settings in Edge and it is still not working, saying I have to update my Flash plugin, however it is supposed to be bundled with Edge.
I do not have a problem with Flash content in Chrome or IE11 browsers, but would like to be able to use Edge as well.
Now, I also encounter the following error message from Windows Update:
"Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3087040) - Error 0x800f0922"
which I guess is related to the issue of missing Flash Player in my Windows.

Oct 16, 2015I mistakenly chose IE as the browser for my emails to open in when I imported my mails from outlook and I wish to change this to MS Edge. How to I go about this? I've checked in the settings, but it doesn't seem to have what I'm looking for. MY IE doesn't function as well as Edge and I'd like to correct this.
