I have Windows Live Mail(WLM)/I am running Windows 10 Home X64. and it seems every night around 10:00 EST my WLM goes down-I can not send or receive any messages. When I shut don for the night and restart in the morning WLM works good. This has been going on for a couple of weeks now. Errors I am getting: 0x8000CC0F and Socket error: 10053.
I checked the internet but could not find any good answers to this problem.
I upgraded to windows 10 and outlook isnt sending emails. It isnt an issue with our ISP this has been checked. This is really difficult as I need outlook for work!

Tried running a Powershell fix I found

but it made no difference.

This may be more of a networking issue and how the Mail App communicates over the network. I am not able to sync any of my email accounts with the Mail app. Thus far, I have only attempted two different Gmail accounts. I followed one thread and disabled the firewall temporarily: this did the trick. However, I would rather not disable my firewall so very often... is there a more permanent workaround?
I am not using Windows Defender fyi. I am using 2015 AVG Internet Security. I attempted to add the Mail app to the list of applications that could bypass the firewall by going to AVG Options -> Firewall Settings -> Applications, but the Mail App is not very easy to find... I checked the most obvious place: Windows -> SystemApps and didn't know where else to look.
I get the script error shown in the attached jpg file both in my desktop and my Lenovo laptop.

View 2 RepliesI can't get the Mail app to work, despite making an Outlook account (rather than my usual Yahoo! account) and several hours searching the web. I've put the error message in quote marks as I can't even seem to find that specific message on the web anywhere, just "Cannot" get mail.
I've tried removing all reference to the user on the PC, removing and re-installing the Mail app and nothing seems to work.
This app worked perfectly yesterday. Today I get this error and I don't know how to resolve this issue.
View 4 RepliesI am reasonably computer literate (started when Win 3.1 was the current OS) but new to Win 10 which I have just acquired pre installed on a new PC.
I use WLM and got it running well on two separate accounts on my PC. I then looked at Outlook to see if it was any better. On returning to WLM I got an error message as shown below. This now appears every time I open WLM on that account, on the other account there is no problem.
I'm trying to add a google account to Mail and when I choose Google I get the message,
'something went wrong error 0x80040154'
Since posting this I did read a suggestion about adding it under IMAP/POP option instead of choosing add GMAIL. I tried this but since my Gmail has secure settings the test email was blocked. There is an option in Gmail setting to make the account less secure, but I don't want to do this.
I just bought a new Windows 10 machine (HP Envy) and I'm running Outlook 2010. When I select multiple e-mails (Shift, select top e-mail, select bottom e-mail) it correctly highlights all e-mails. Then when I right click and select "Mark as Read" it removes the highlight from multiple e-mails and instead only highlights the last e-mail. I would often select multiple e-mails, mark as read, and then delete.
It's not a huge deal, but I could do this in Outlook 2010 in Windows 8.1 without issue and I can do it in Outlook 2003.
everything was working fine until today. Now, every download I attempt on Microsoft Edge comes up with the message "the signature of this program is corrupt or invalid".
I haven't made any changes to my PC, or installed any new software, and I cannot find any solutions to this.

However, doing a test Send and Receive from the Outlook Account Settings did work.
Outlook 2010 wont send mail after the upgrade. I have deleted all accounts and reinstalled them but I still have the same problem.

when I change my sync setting of Gmail in windows 10 mail app, ie; sync mails from any time, it stop synchronizing the mails . It happens both in Gmail normal emails as well as gmail app mails.

View 3 RepliesAfter I uninstalled catalyst control centre (because I was having problems with it). When I restarted my mouse and keyboard weren't working. So I tried a ps2 kb and mouse and this worked. I went to device manager a looked at the USB devices, all of them had a yellow warning sign next to the devices. I checked each one and they all had error 39 (missing or corrupted drivers). I tried updating and uninstalling the devices with no avail. How can I fix this?

I upgraded to W10 a few weeks ago from W7. All went well.
Then 2 days ago i got the windows error code oxc000021a, and the computer wouldn't start. Couldn't get into safe mode, and repair didn't work either. Really annoying. I've had to reinstall windows 7. I can still see my windows 10 old install saved under windows.old.
I don't have any option yet to re-upgrade to W10, despite putting all the updates on W7 again. What can I do to get W10 again and recover my data from windows.old?

Any fix that actually works so i don't have to try 100 things. The only thing to note is i have two drives, one is an ssd which is where my current windows is installed and its path is E, not C, just wondering if that may be the problem.
