View 9 RepliesHow to keep IE in full screen. Its been a while and my addled brain has forgotten.
I've tried the full settings etc but it reverts to small window when using later on.
When edge is not full screen there isn't a way to scroll from side to side. Shouldn't there be a scroll bar?
View 4 Replieshow to Disable/remove Do you want to view _ in full screen? Notification bar when viewing video in full screen in IE 11 for all websites?
View 1 RepliesThis is not a problem just a observation. I noticed something strange when I went to download Brink's reg file to bring back the Photo Viewer. Either Pale Moon or Windows 10 thinks it's a .TS video file.
View 4 RepliesI did upgrade to windows 10 from windows 8.1 but found that my favourate games would not run on full screen but only in a window.... (X2 the Treat, X3 games....)
Did find a few anoying problems with the start menu but can see there would be improvment so could live with it.
But the fullscreen problem drove me mad so reverted back to 8.1.
Have microsoft solved this problem yet..?
Or should I continue to stay on 8.1...?
Edge is a great browser! However one thing I really miss from IE is having my favorites sidebar always visible at all times. With Edge you have to select it EACH TIME and pin it to the window display. This becomes a real pain and seems unnecessary. Is it possible to configure the favorite's sidebar to be always on by default? A real extra would be to have it on the left hand side again like IE which seemed to have this facility/capability just right. The horizontal favorites across the top is useless because so few are visible. (No luck with other forums) else I'm going back to IE.
View 7 RepliesI have my favorites set up and there are many. The fav bar is full so how can I remove one and add another that I have saved.
View 2 RepliesIn IE, there was a setting to open links (e.g., ones selected by shift-clicking, or ones with a target attribute in the anchor tag) into a new window instead of a new tab. I can't find a way to do this in Edge - in general, the number of user-adjustable settings seems to be MUCH smaller in Edge. Is there a way?

View 1 RepliesI need to automate a webpage credential form.
I am building a kiosk setup for my workplace and I am running into an obstacle that I cannot seem to overcome.
What I have is a set of machines that pulls feeds from a set of cameras that are used to watch blind spots. These feeds are displayed in a web page that works best in Mozilla Firefox. I have gotten the computer to log on with its domain account on it's own and set a task to open Mozilla upon logon, but the part where my difficulty starts is when the page loads a pop-up window asking for credentials for the cameras.
I need to automate the login process for these machines so that the people monitoring them do not have to do anything to get the machine displaying the feeds because I plan on preventing input from a keyboard or mouse.
I've heard of scripting, but I do not know how to write nor implement a script.
I'm trying to do banking. Explorer keeps popping to the bottom of the page. It won't let me stay at the top of the page for more than a second! This has been since the windows 10 update.

Before using 8.1 , when wanting to upload a certain file to a website or where ever , There is a pop up windows that let's you search to file to upload , after clicking the button on that particular website, now in Win 10 , when clicking the button the file search popup (Open dialog box) windows fails to appear and so cannot search and upload the files.
The Start Screen in Windows 8.1 is a masterpiece with its horisontal scroll and simplistic grouping.
The Start Screen in Windows 10 is a mess with the mix of a Windows 7 style Start Menu and the vertical scroll of the tiles.
Would there be any way to bring the Windows 8 Start Screen to Windows 10 as in the early builds?
I don't need any fancy additional features, just the Windows 8 Start Screen style and behaviour.
At some point in the last couple of weeks the Send To/Mail Recipient function has stopped working. When I select a file and do the send to, Windows starts thinking, the explorer window that I have selected this from stops taking input and then eventually, with no error messages, the explorer window closes and desktop explorer resets.
My Default mail client is Outlook 2013 (15.0.4745.1000)
I recently upgraded from W7 to W10. On W7 alt/tab would expand each open application window such that they were full size when alt/tab'd or mouse'd over to it. But on W10 they do not show full size unless you bring the app into focus by releasing alt/tab. I suspect MS did that because on W7 they had a bug whereby the list of open icons would fall behind current windows. But that was fixed with with a 3rd party app (AltTabFixOnce.exe).
how to get back the W7 form of alt/tab?
Whow, Win 10 seem so easy at the first installation but problems or bizarre things come out one after the others. Now, I can't move a windows unless this one has been reduce. Is it possible to get back this function has I use to do it with previous version?
View 1 RepliesThe browser icons that used to sit on the bottom of my screen have disappeared. How do I get these icons back?
View 1 RepliesAll of sudden Application and even print window is opening full Page thus I am not able to click even buttons like Accept, Next, Finish, Print etc which are overlapping the taskbar and even I am not able to reach below for cross arrows to pull the windows above. Though with Auto Hide taskbar, I am able to click these buttons but I am not liking this Auto Hide feature. Is there any other way out so that these windows could be permanently kept small size giving ample space both above and below these windows.
View 3 RepliesUnsure what is happening here, for a few days now, when I load a youtube video, all I get is a black screen, and I do not see the video until I 'nudge' a few keys and throw mouse at screen (not really!)
Whilst this is happening I went up to 200mb last night from 150, so its not my broadband.
The image shows screen after approx 20 secs; the buffering circle only appears after I hit spacebar or enter. Thats does not mean I get the video though, it can appear now, or in another 30 sec or more
Okay so I updated from windows 7 to windows 10 i have these black bars around my screen instead of a full screen so I tried changing the resolution because it was set to 800x600 so I change it to 1920x1080.
View 1 RepliesWhenever I open a link in email I get asked which browser I want to use. I have selected Explorer as my default browser and I keep checking the box that says "always use this app" It is very frustrating. How do I make Windows 10 understand that I always want to use IE.
View 3 RepliesI wanted to run some games on 1024x768 but i had black bars i fixed that problem by selecting 1024x768 resolution and scaling to full screen. But i want to know if there is a way to change the resolution to 1024x768 when the game opens instead of doing it manually and when the game closes the resolution goes back to normal which is 1366x768.
View 1 Repliesis there any trick to do that?! it was more confortable to use...
View 4 RepliesIs there a hot key to take a full screen shot of whatever is on the screen and put it into the photos section? I don't want it to go to the clip board.
View 4 RepliesI note in the screenshots that there is an option in W10 marked 'Use full screen start when in the desktop'. This seems puzzling to me, as I will want to use the full screen start when on the start screen (of course) but obviously I won't want a full screen start when running the Desktop app. Is it possible to use the start menu when running the Desktop app and still have the full start screen presented when I close it/switch away from it? Much like Win8 (only with the new and improved start menu of course) where I right click on the Windows logo icon to get the start menu and left click it to return to the start screen?
