View 2 RepliesAfter I upgraded to Windows 10 I am unable to click on any link in Outlook 2003. I get a popup that says "Locate link browser". I searched for a solution and read that I needed to associate it with IExplore.exe. After doing that, now whenever I click a link it opens IExplore to my home page. How I can resolve this error and get it to go to the URL rather than just opening IExplore?
Instructions I found were these but don't seem to apply to Windows 10:
On the desktop, double-click My Computer. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options, and then click the File Types tab.In the Registered File Types list, click URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol, click Advanced, and then click Edit.In the Actions box, type open.In the Application used to perform action box, locate Internet Explorer (Iexplore.exe), and then click Open.In the Application box, type IExplore, and then click OK.
New to W10 (from W7) . The problem, a certain webpage and my home page [URL] .... won't load in FF. I get 'Server not found
It works in Edge and I am rather new to that so prefer to stay with Firefox.
In IE I get the error message 'This page can't be displayed'
My son (remote and yesterday) reported the same thing and it also happens on my laptop (W7 install) next to me.
How do I copy a Web Page and Print it Out?

View 6 RepliesI tried to type in rottentomatoes.com (a website of movie reviews) and must have mistyped something, because I got a web page warning me of an error, and then it greyed out all the browser, so I can't get at the menu to clear the cache and get rid of this obviously malware webpage. Is there any way to clear everything from Microsoft Edge without getting blocked by this webpage?

View 9 RepliesIf you want to link all your mail into one inbox you can do it.
Open Mail either from all App or Taskbar if you have it set up that way
Once open click on Settings found in bottom Right Hand Corner
Then go to Manage Account
Click on any Mail you have there like
Outlook
Gmail
Etc
Then click Link Inboxes
Tick which Inboxes you want to link
Also you can Name the link to anything you want to
Once done Click Save
Now when you receive Mail from any of your contact etc
It will now come into one Inbox
Have done it and it does work
This saves you having to click on each Mail inbox
If you want to revert back just
Click on the inbox linked untick
Press Save and they are all back showing one by one
In IE, there was a setting to open links (e.g., ones selected by shift-clicking, or ones with a target attribute in the anchor tag) into a new window instead of a new tab. I can't find a way to do this in Edge - in general, the number of user-adjustable settings seems to be MUCH smaller in Edge. Is there a way?
View 5 RepliesMy sendto has been broken. I had just Bluetooth showing but the folder at C:Users***AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsSendTo had all the right parts in it.
I found removing the Bluetooth worked, but though I have recreated both the folder and the Mail recipient item a number of times the outlook link will not show.
Outlook 2010 is the default e-mail and I have done an Office repair. As I use this a lot, under 8.1 ...
I am using Mail app built in Windows 10. Office 2013 is installed with all applications. If I try to use the SendTo link from Explorer, it opens up Outlook instead of the default Mail app. In default programs, Mail has all his options checked.
How to make the SendTo work properly with Mail app?
Whenever I open a link in email I get asked which browser I want to use. I have selected Explorer as my default browser and I keep checking the box that says "always use this app" It is very frustrating. How do I make Windows 10 understand that I always want to use IE.
View 3 RepliesHow do I turn off the mouse auto click when it hovers over a link in a web page. I downloaded the windows 10 and it has started doing this. I can't find a thing anywhere about this issue. I have an Asus laptop and a Toshiba laptop and they are both doing this since getting the windows 10. I spend more time going back to my original page than I get to read the original page! Try shopping and reading a description. Taking a test online was challenging to say the least.
View 9 RepliesWe all know that IE, Firefox, etc have the option to copy the download link of an ongoing download job. But it seems Microsoft had something really great in mind and has apparently removed that feature from Microsoft Edge I wonder wheres the 'Edge'??
how to bring back the useful 'copy download link' option of an ongoing download link in Edge?
So, I upgraded from Windows 7 up to Windows 10 yesterday and immediately saw that the whole display had stretched on the homescreen, internet, everything. The main issue I am having is that some webpages, YouTube and gamebattles for example are super stretched. This is the case for Google Chrome and on Internet Explorer are both the same.
As for the whole display, all I had to do was change the display size to 100% and it seemed to be alright. However, as for YouTube no matter how much I zoom in or zoom out the video size is super stretched. Gamebattles, on the other hand, I can simply zoom out of and it seems a bit small...I am putting this in the Windows 10 section of the forum as before I did the upgrade all of the web pages were fitting well on my screen.
I'm having an issue with my browser not connecting to my internet. I have no issues connecting to my email, Skype or steam. I just can't connect to webpages like Google. I have recently updated to windows 10 (from windows 7) but for the first day and a half everything was working fine. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling my network drivers and updating them for windows 10. I have tried restarting my router and PC 100 times. I have run multiple virus scans using Malwarebytes v.2.2.0.1024 with no show of infection. I have also tried using the commands to reset my TCPIP and Winsock in cmd (admin). My WiFi on my phone, tablet and laptop work fine.
I do want to mention that the second I updated my network driver for windows 10 all the webpages I had open loaded. But if I tried to open a new webpage it would not load. The message I get says "This webpage is not available. ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED" and I sometimes get "This webpage is not available. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN" on Google chrome. I get "Server not found" on Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge doesn't even give me a message, just a blank page. Is there anything else that I can try?
I've decided to go back to Windows 7 and that has fixed the problem.
How can you get a virus by just visiting a web page & not clicking anything? To top it off, I am using Firefox 64 bit. That suppose to provided better security.
Category: Trojan

It was detected & removed by Microsoft security essentials in windows 7 but I will restore from back up & hope this doesn't happen again. I am beginning to dislike computers. Just because you visit a medical site you shouldn't get viruses. After restoring my image.I did a full system scan using MSE in windows 7 & Defender in Windows 10 nothing found.I also scanned with Malwarebytes also nothing found. Yes, I checked the root kit detector option. I know my restore image is clean.
Ever since I loaded Windows 10 my internet is running slow and I continuously receive either a "recover webpage" message or "stop script" message. I am on IE 11. I tried the new Microsoft Edge but it seemed to run slower than IE. Does any kind of update need to be done to my wireless router. It is a Netgear N750 model #WNDR4300.

View 4 RepliesI've had no response to my previous query. But must ask this again as it is very annoying. I have a radio site on my desktop that I listen to. Now when I want to go to another URL address that particular link will not open up. I. E. I want to open [URL]. The only way I can access it (while my radio link is on) is to exit my radio link then click on the URL link for Ancestry.com. It is not the only link that will not work while I already have one other open, all other links will not open also.

I have three grumbles. One, why is the Favorites panel on the right side? What benefit did that create? How to move it to the Left? Can't be done?
Two: My favorites are not alpha sorted by me. On my IE browser, they were arranged and listed by frequency of use, and importance in my work. Edge default sorts them alpha anyway. Can I Stop this unwanted sort feature?
Three, I like my favorites panel to come up with the browser, and not want to click on another icon to show it.
I want to add shortcut link of one of the folder location to "Quick Access" in Windows 10 x64.
In the case of Windows 10 x86 I used to put my shortcut link in the folder "C:Usersuser_nameLinks" & it showed me shortcut in favorites at left side. Also it works using this command :
Code:
mklink /D %USERPROFILE%LinksMyFolder C:MyFolder
I want to do same thing for Windows 10 x64. So I try to use that command on Windows 10 x64 also I have tried to directly copy shortcut & pasted into the location of Quick Access.
But, still it's not showing in left panel of Quick Access.
So, how to do that on Windows 10 x64 ? (or perhaps through Registry) ?.
