I have the "Sonic Studio DLA" uninstall issue and have done every trick I can find. One time I hid the Uninstall and continue button and it magically went on to install Windows 10 successfully! However the one issue I had was the bluetooth driver was missing so I went to install one from Toshiba site (Satellite L775) and it caused an error condition so I wanted to back it out but it was 2 am and I was tired so I tried the go to previous build option - expecting it to go to previous restore point of when it was first installed but no - It went back to Windows 7 and I am stuck at "uninstall Sonic Studio DLA" message again. Wife is happy because she wasn't that excited about learning Win 10 but I would prefer to have it upgraded anyway and she balks at the clean install. So I know Windows 10 works and message is not accurate , so how do I bypass it? Will a quiet install or unattended with answers bypass it?
Is there an application that will check the compatibility of all existing hardware and software in my Win 7 Home PC before I begin an upgrade to Win 10?
I have a notebook with nVidia 860m video card. There is GeForce Experience preinstalled and it recommends to update driver. Problem is: Win 10 does not recognize 860m after rebooting my system when I install nVidia's fresh drivers. I don't understand that sort of problem because I always updated drivers on win 8.1 without any problem, win 10 is updated regularly. So if I am interested to install recommended updates, is there a way to understand will it work or not after reboot without actual install? I tried to installed drives via devices manager, it is installed without any problems but does not work after reboot.
How do I bypass the whole tedious log in every time I start the pc. I am trying to solve other problems and need to close down multiple times to ascertain the cause...

I woke up this morning and turned on my laptop from sleep mode and it went straight to my desktop not to a screen to ask to input my password like usually. Is this normal or some mix up?
I am getting a bit frustrated with Windows 10 Pro and not sure what to try. So I do not want to use OneDrive or Quick Access. One of the first things I did was go to folder options and changed "open file explorer to:" this PC instead of quick access. I then unchecked both quick access options under privacy. So now when I hit start and select downloads, pictures, or file explorer, it actually opens to this PC. Not documents though. It still opens to quick access every time. I tried a restart, still nothing.
I like to turn on my computer then walk away and make my kids lunch etc. When I come back to it I want to be ready to work. Not have to enter a password then wait for it to be done booting up.
I have, so far (my PC was upgraded to Windows 10 two days ago), found two applications that don't appear to be compatible but weren't flagged ahead of time. These are AnvSoft Any Video Converter Ultimate and Samsung Kies 3. I'm guessing I'll find more as time goes on.
how to eliminate the lock screen preview and bypass the 'Sign In' button on the lock screen?I often put my computer to sleep then to bring it back (in Windows 7) I would simply hit the space bar and turn on my mouse and it would go straight to my desktop. Now, I hit the space bar turn on my mouse, and it takes me to the lock screen preview then I hit the space bar and it takes me to a lock screen where I have to click 'Sign In' even though I have no password set.
I'm guessing I'll no longer be able to hit the spacebar, turn on my mouse and go directly to the desktop but if I can hit the spacebar, turn on the mouse, then hit the space bar one last time, that would be satisfactory.
My 15 year old is clever enough to bypass the (new) Family settings controlled Microsoft Account I just set up for him by converting the account to a local account. This seems to let him play as long as he wants, without time restrictions. I didn't get an email about this, or any other notification. This is the second time he has done it.
Why is it so easy to completely bypass all the family safety settings it took me hours(!) to finally get set up?
Also the Family Recent Activity shown on my Microsoft Account web site doesn't seem to update itself. It is at least two or three days behind, perhaps more. How often does Recent Activity update? Is it supposed to be near instantaneous?
I have Tune-up Utilities, and it has programs that run while computer is idle. When they start to run, I get a popup notification that OneClickStarter is running in Compatibility Mode. So I checked ALL the exe's for Tuneup and all of them have Run In Compatibility Mode UNCHECKED, including Change Settings For All Users. I'm getting tired of having to confirm it every time it wants to run in the background. Is it possible to turn off Compatibility Mode completely?
Every time that I start up my laptop and load up my desktop, Compatibility Assistant gives me the exact same reminders every time. What do I need to do to stop this constant notification every time that I start up my system?
Notifications: We turned on Windows Defender Spybot - Search & Destroy was removed
This app is no longer available Lenovo VeriFace was removed from your PC because it doesn't work on this version of Windows.
This app is no longer available Dolby Digital Plus Advanced Audio was removed from your PC because it doesn't work on this version of Windows.
The action center informed me that CCleaner was not compatible and was removed. Every time the PC is booted, it repeats that message. I have tried removing every trace of CCleaner I can find but it still repeats the message at boot.
I don't want to turn off notifications, only stop it from telling me CCleaner was removed!
I've found two sites (so far) that have scrolling compatibility issues with Edge. Musician's Friend: Musical Instruments Store is one and the other is the Cakewalk/Sonar forum [URL] ...
In either site, I can scroll (vertically) through front pages without problems. But, when I get into individual threads, for example, and try to scroll though them, either scrolling slows down to very slow or stops.
It would seem to be a setting in Edge, as I have another desktop (my recording studio backup system) with the same version of Win 10 (Pro 64 bit) and it does not do it in that system.
I've reset, to default, all the settings I could find in Edge.
I have an old XP program, xReminder Pro, that I have been using for many years. I am currently running it in Compatibility Mode on Windows 7 and it runs fine. On my Windows 10 test machine, this program will install and run from a "manual" start in Compatibility Mode (Windows XP SP3); but will not auto-start with Windows. I have tried the normal start with the program preferences, adding it to the Startup, and running a bat file right after boot up. None of these work. I have set the program to "Run as Administrator".
My HP Pavilion all-in-one computer does not recognize my Seagate external hard drive after I installed Windows 10. Everything worked well with the Windows 8 but neither system will recognize the other once I upgraded to Windows 10.
To check whether your download is coming, look for a folder called: $WINDOWS.~BT In the root of your C:
If its not there, check there are folders dated with todays date, here: C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload Files start here, before being unpacked into the location above.
If those folders don't exist, type this at the command line: wuauclt.exe /updatenow (This worked for me, and my download has started)
If you have to hit Windows Update with a hammer, try this:
1.Uninstalled the KB2976978 (In an elevated cmd prompt) 1.net stop wuauserv 2.rd /s /q C:WindowsSoftwareDistribution 3.net start wuauserv
