Sep 15, 2015For some reason; every time I try and start outlook; it encounters a problem and crashes and closes on me. Even after i use the office disc to to a install repair; it works for a short time; then the problem starts all over again. It says microsoft outlook has stopped working. This is with office 2010 by the way.

Aug 7, 2015I was messing around with folders and stuff in Windows 10, now this Microsoft Office Outlook icon is stuck on my desktop all of a sudden and there is no way to get rid of it.
-Doesn't provide a delete option
-Selecting it and pressing the delete key nor shift+delete works
-Doesn't show up in explorer when you navigate to Desktop folder
-Doesn't appear in search results
-Even trying to open it does nothing
-Is visible when using the Unlocker program, but still no option to delete. Clicking 'OK' just closes Unlocker.
Wasn't really installing anything when I noticed it, and malwarebytes found nothing, so I'm pretty sure it's not a virus or anything.
-Someone told me to "hold shift, right click empty area on desktop, click open command window here in the right click menu, type dir & hit enter, type del "name"" but it didn't show up there either.
-I was asked if I ever had Office 2007 or how old my machine is, but the answer is no and I built this desktop in 2011, just last week did a fresh install of Windows 10 Home. Also, this just appeared today; never before.
-Was told its a registry entry, not a file, and to to look for it in regedit [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorer but it's not there
-Told to delete {00020D75-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerDesktopNameSpace but it is also not there.
The only thing is that when I search for "Microsoft Office Outlook" in regedit, I get this file:
Deleted it and nothing happens. Reappears when you restart the computer.
I tried booting into safe mode as well as removing the latest windows update that occurred on the same day.

Accounts :: How To Disable Second Login Option
Nov 24, 2015I have two login issues.
1. After installing W10, it seems rebooting brings up two accounts with the same email address. The first account is linked to my live.com account and uses the live.com password to login. The live.com login is what I wanted and I set up the PC to auto login with those credentials. But now this second login option pops up and kills the auto login. This second login seems to allow for a local or domain login. How do I disable that second login option?
2. I was putting up with item 1, but today I have managed to lock myself out altogether. Since I have my W10 connected to a TV and am viewing from a distance, I right clicked on the desktop and changed the font size to 150%. It asked me to logoff so that this change could take effect. When coming back up the live.com logon password box only seems to take 5 characters. My password is 9 characters. I am now locked out of my PC.
I am now on my Chromebook and have confirmed the live.com password is still valid (just in case that is the problem).

Apr 14, 2016New to PCs in general. Bit of back info - built a PC a month ago. Have had a few set backs with drivers and BIOS update, but it seems everything is stable for now.
I signed into my Xbox Live account about a week ago, which is linked to my hotmail/outlook account Ive had for ages. This automatically linked to my PC user account I have on this PC. I found out by rebooting, login screen shows my name as usual, but now underneath shows my email. It also changed my login password to my outlook password. Is this something to be concerned about? I can still login fine, but been nagging me because Ive never had a login password automatically switch on me before.

Dec 26, 2015I recently was forced to create a new user account on my Windows 10 PC since old one got corrupted. This new one is a local account/administrator. When going to the account settings I then go to the "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead" option which works totally fine. I am asked to input the email of my Microsoft account and password. So far so good. After I do that I then encounter a screen that says "Sign in to this device using your Microsoft account". It asks me for my current Windows password one more time and says the next time I sign into windows I'll be using my Microsoft account password. So I then enter my windows password and here is where the lovely screw up happens that says "Oops, something went wrong. Whatever happened, it was probably our fault. Please try again."
I've tried countless times and attempted to skip this page by clicking next and nothing. I can't use my Microsoft account at all on this computer it seems anymore.

Jan 27, 2016I like the security and convenience of having an account with administrative privileges, which I only use for installing and changing critical settings and an account which I use for all other purposes, which does not have administrative privileges.I would like to abandon Chrome, which allows me to synchronize my bookmarks and all other settings across all users in my Windows 10 boot and even in my logon to Windows 7 in the multi-boot of my desktop computer. Every single change I make in one Chrome browser instantly appears when I open the Chrome browser of any other logon. This is working perfectly across both of my Win 10 users and both of my Win 7 users of my multi-boot desktop.
I would like to be able to switch to MS Edge as my browser and have the same synchronization across both of my Windows 10 logons as I presently have with Chrome but this feature is not available in Edge unless both of my Windows 10 logons (that are on the same installation of Windows 10) are Microsoft User accounts. But Windows 10 won't allow me to have two logons with the same Microsoft account. It has only allowed me to have one of those accounts be a Microsoft account and the other a Local account.
Are any of the following (or anything else you know about) possible in order to get synchronization:Use the hidden administrator as my second account with administrative privileges and be able to synchronize it with my account without administrative privileges? (Is it automatically a MS account rather than a local one and is it automatically the same MS account as the MS user account I have created)?Open a second Microsoft Account with a different email address? If I do this and create a logon (a Win 10 Microsoft Account User) with that different email address, can I synchronize the two MS accounts so that changes I make in Edge (such as passwords and Favorites) in one logon will appear (be synchronized) in the Edge browser of the other (different Microsoft Account User) logon?Change some setting or Registry entry that I don't know about so that I can get synchronization without having to do either of the two above?

Oct 24, 2015I'm giving this computer to a friend and I want it to be a blank slate. How do I disconnect all this microsoft account crap from my computer? The MS website gives instructions but there is no prompt to do so when I try. How do I disable the opening password when booting up the computer? I tried the netplwiz command and unchecked the box but all it did was make another user with the same name. Or is there a way I can make a new admin account for him somehow and delete all the other ones from that one?

1:in command prompt i used net user administrator /active:no it shows "system error 5 occured "
2:i tried REGEDIT there when i open the SAM file is shows this user is already in use

Two Accounts - How To Disable Automatic Login When Turn On PC
Aug 1, 2015This is a thing that was also on 8.1 (that I hated a lot) and i couldnt remove. I have 2 accounts on my pc (home and my own account) and everytime i turn the pc on, the last account that was used logs in automatically (mine asks password actually, but the home's one doesn't, so it just logs in).
This is a thing i hate, since makes me waste time login out and login with the account i want to use. Is out there any option for disable that? In 8.1 that wasn't possible.

Feb 10, 2016I signed in with a microsoft account in windows 10 because I wanted to try minecraft windows 10 edition. Now I want to remove it but I am unable to. To remove the account I go click the start menu, click my name, click change account settings, scroll down to accounts used by other apps, click my email, click remove, but nothing happens. I did switch to a local account. When I click remove, the settings window just disappears without anything happening. I also ran the SFC Command but it found nothing. Sep 18, 2015I'm running windows 10 pro free upgrade, I stupidly created a Microsoft account to install an app 'remote desktop' it changed my login to an email address, that messed up all my network logons, and I don't want an email logon, I hate it. I want a normal name login. I forever connect to remote servers and cant mess around trying to connect!
How can I remove the Microsoft account login, its taken over my prime login with all my applications, I cant seem to delete it, I deleted my Microsoft account and now cant change the password on it!
I don't mind hacking the registry. I just need it gone. otherwise its a start again windows 7 installation.

Aug 8, 2015I need to disable the below settings. I have tried using the below GPO settings, ran gpupdate /force and restarted 2 domain computers. I then logged into each computer with a different domain account. The live tiles were still changing. I am still able to add a PIN to the account. I was still able to add a Microsoft account. (I do not have a Work/School account but the option was still available. I added the same Microsoft account to both domain users. The Sync your settings is all grayed out and all set to off. However, I noticed the desktop background synced and the Favorites Synced. How do I disable all these settings so they cannot be used and are turned off?
