View 3 RepliesI am having some trouble getting the default store apps to work. As for the store itself, it used to briefly show the splash then crash. Now it is just an unknown file type that doesn't do anything when clicked. I have tried some of the more common fixes, like the powershell re-register scripts, but none work, all returning errors of one kind or another. At this point, would it just be easier to "Reset this PC", or is there another fix I may not have tried?

View 2 RepliesEvery time I try to install an app the installation bar finishes but then it gives me an error saying that it cant find the app.
View 1 RepliesSince upgrading to 10 from Windows 7 I’ve had to resort to System Restore 6 times in as many weeks because I get logged in with a temporary where nothing works. Although this is a bind the latest is that the Store app along with 12 others have stopped working, which means photos calc weather etc cannot be accessed.
View 2 RepliesMy store app quit working and the windows repair tool said I need to download a new app but I can not find out where to find it to download it.
View 1 RepliesI log out outlook account and use local account. But app store is still logged in. How to log out?

View 1 RepliesAfter installing windows 10 on my windows phone, store app is missing. What can I do? It's nowhere to be found..
View 1 RepliesNot shure what I did I can no longer find the app store for win10. When I click on the store button all I get now is the HP store.?
View 14 RepliesWell, it is a continuing issue. Over last two updates, I faced some issues with the metro apps. After the updates, some apps fail to work. Previously, when I installed the 10159 upgrade, some apps did not respond for the first time. The process that I followed was to uninstall the probleming apps using PowerShell and then install them back from store.
Now, with the 10166 upgrade, the store itself was the problem, alongwith two other apps. So I uninstalled store itself too (using powershell) .... and I think that I have done something very wrong. No way I am seeing to get those apps back in this situation. Is there any way to get store back without performing a clean reinstall?
I can't open the Windows 10 Store on my relatively recent upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. It did originally work, but the start menu currently looks like this (tooltip when hovering): I've followed the PowerShell advice at URL....but this didn't work with errors like:
Code:
Add-AppxPackage : Cannot find path 'C:ProgramFilesWindowsAppsMicrosoft.WindowsStore_2015.1013.14.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe
AppxMetadataAppxBundleManifest.xml'because it does not exist.At H:Downloads
einstall-preinstalledApps
einstall-preinstalledApps.ps1:35 char:2+ Add-AppxPackage -register $PackagePath -DisableDevelopmentMode+
[code]....
I am looking to disable the store from the taskbar in Windows 10. I found a local group policy for Windows 8 but it didn't seem to work in Windows 10. This is for business so I don't want the store pinned to the taskbar.
View 3 RepliesEarlier, I went onto the app store to download a new game, but there wasn't any install button. Additionally, those spinning dots just stayed on the page not going away, even when I went back to the main page. I restarted my computer, but to no avail. I logged out on the store, but now I get an error whenever I try to log back in.
EDIT: This happens for every app and game, not just the one I'm trying to download.
I have recently installed and have two profiles on laptop. One for my daughter and one for me, both login using Microsoft account. My daughter can open app store, but when I switch to my profile it wont open at all.
View 1 RepliesI've just upgrade to Windows 10 a few weeks ago and since then I cannot open the sotre app It gives "The Server Stumbled" error message, without any error code and then force closed The same cases also happened to Xbox app I've updated a few times via windows update but it seems the error still occur
View 2 RepliesI am customizing the tile icons for my start menu using TileCreator. I would like to set a custom tile for the windows store however I cannot figure out what the path to the windows store is in order to do so. Google has failed me in this pursuit.
View 2 RepliesWindows 10 Store is on the start menu but will not open and I can't download it.
View 5 RepliesAfter upgrading to Windows 10, everything was fine. But after the Store updated itself, I get this message: "Store can't be opened. An update may be available in Store." How can I update store when I even can not open it??!!
View 2 RepliesAs the windows 10 launch date is ahead, has guys at MS added the option for adding apps to wishlist yet?
View 13 RepliesEvery time i open my store on Windows 10 i can search for things but once i click on the on the app i want the store page totally goes away. what should i do? i am trying to download a media player on my pc so i can watch movies on it.
View 1 RepliesI'm using windows 10. When I'm using my user, the windows store app just doesnt open. The icon on the start menu is empty. It just says "store". When I click on it - nothing happens. When i search "store" and the icon pops up, I click it and once again nothing happens.
View 2 RepliesIt's been stuck like this for a couple of days.
It was working fine before that.
I think it stopped working after the cumulative update.
EDIT: The solution is:
1. Open the start menu.
2. Type msconfig.
3. Open "System configuration"
4. Select "Normal boot."
5. Restart computer.
