View 1 RepliesWith windows 7 it was so easy, when I had two windows open, be it word, a browser or windows explorer to chose show windows side by side......they seemed to snap together or were easily encouraged to do so.
With windows 10 the two windows seem to stay over to the left of the screen and both only take up approx 50% of the screen....I try and stretch them to, which works of a fashion but not remembered next time I start the PC....
Not sure urge if there is something I should be doing to make this work better...
The latest update causes emails to delete from server regardless of settings. Wish they would leave things alone! There are workarounds namely using IMAP or uninstalling the office update. I guess I will just wait it out.
View 1 RepliesThe next time you start outlook all the folders were empty, there are no messages. The files inbox.dbx, "sent items.dbx" and other relevant folders retain their dimensions when viewing the file in the editor, they can be found even addresses, the names and other text. That is, the data are preserved, but the outlook does not want to display them. The address book was empty, too. I tried to experiment with the file folders.dbx.
View 2 RepliesI've upgraded my HP Envy Ultrabook with preinstalled Windows 8 to Windows 10 about a month ago. All works enough smoothly - except the intrinsic Windows Mail & Calendar apps. They don't sync their contents automatically, even with my main Microsoft account linked to my Outlook.com email!
I tried different mailbox sync settings ("as items arrive", "every 15 minutes", etc.) - nothing works. I tried to disconnect my local account from Microsoft account, and even created a new user from scratch - no result again.
The auto-sync also does not work for other mail accounts, not only for Outlook.com. Sometimes I even get the following error when trying to sync manually .....
I just went to use the Mail app in Windows 10 for the first time and noticed that a lot of my emails are being displayed in a weird way, mostly with images. Most notably with youtube emails:
Ex. 1 : (personal info has been 'oranged' out). n entire third of the screen is being used by a single line of text (also some words at the bottom of the email) that should really just be directly beneath the 'YouTube' logo banner.
This problem is exacerbated when the app is made smaller with window mode. Is this just normal for the Mail app, or is there a way to make emails and images display 'correctly'?
Win 10 show windows side by side shows them stacked instead of side by side.....
View 8 RepliesWindows 10 will not show windows side by side on right click Task Bar command. In Windows 7 when I had 2 panels open and I wanted to display them side by side, I would go down to the task bar right click and select "Show Windows side by side"
Now after upgrading to windows 10 Pro when I do this I find that the panels are stacked one on top of another contrary to the instruction.I then experimented with "Show windows stacked", and in fact that is what it does.So now my problem is that Windows 10 will not display panels "side by side" when that function is selected.
My OS is Windows 10. I have been using MS Office Outlook for my email. I've used it for years. A few weeks ago I decided to try gmail so I set up an account. I did not give anyone my gmail address but for some reason I started to get a lot of my email from friends who have my Outlook address. I even got some of the junk mail on gmail. I then shut down my gmail account as I don't like it. Then I noticed that I wasn't getting much email. So I opened my gmail account and there were dozens of email messages there. Here's my problem. I want to close my gmail account but then I'll miss all of the messages that will go there. My question is. How can I stop messages from going to the gmail?

View 1 RepliesFirst time user, today, the left side of my monitor screens are cut off, can't see the icons and same when I use my email. Can't recall doing anything to cause this misbehavior.

View 3 RepliesHow can one reduce the volume (without effecting the volume of other sounds) of the sound playing when messages occur like this one at the bottom right side?
Using the sound mixer (or whatever it is called) does not work, the "Systemsounds" slider (set to "0") does not effect the volume of that messages:
My lock screen has a notification of a speech bubble with 99+ written next to it. I can't work out what it's referring to.
Please see the attachment:
What this is referring to or how I might be able to find out?
Randomly when browsing the internet I'll get bluescreen's 10-20 minutes in. I haven't tested many things but I have updated a couple of drivers in spite of what I thought may have worked..
View 1 RepliesI have 2 accounts set up in Mail for Windows 10. One is Yahoo, the other Comcast. When I first updated, the mail app worked fine. It would send and receive messages to and from both accounts. After a couple of days, the app stopped receiving messages. It will send, but not receive, from either account. I checked all the settings, tried to search the web for similar issue. ?

View 1 RepliesI am trying to move a folder/directory to Start Menu, but when I drag it onto the start menu, it just shows red circle with line through it... How do I add folders to start menu left side?
View 7 RepliesI just bought a new PC and installed W10 (previously was using W7) and when i plugged my headphones to front jack i did not have any sound at all. I googled for some time to find a solution and found that i have to check "Disable front panel jack detection" and i got the sound, BUT the sound was only in one side. When i was testing in Realtek HD Audio Manager it also played sound only in one side.
Headphones work fine so it probably is Windows glitch.also tried to uninstall & reinstall drivers for Realtek HD Audio.
For some reason, the sidebar of my control panel has a highlight under every option. This only occurs on one user profile, but I'd like to keep this user profile if possible.
