Is it possible to change the color of text on the Taskbar buttons? It is unreadable as black text on a very dark background.
I now have all the other UI colors in Windows 10 looking how I want with a customized theme.
For instance, if I highlight a word in a text-entry field, it's a very bright blue. This is also true in Firefox, Thunderbird, Word, OneNote, various fora, etc. but not in Excel.
Prior to installing Windows 10, the highlight in a text-entry field was either pale grey (on dark backgrounds) or darker grey (on light backgrounds), which is what I'd like to have back.
I changed the default fonts and icons size to 125% which run smooth on win 7 but on 10 there is a huge difference.
I have tried a solutions posted here and here but the fonts looks just horrible.
Icons and files names look ok , as well as some menus but rest of the system fonts as you are just bad.
I am on 27" Monitor Gforce Gtx 970.
Here is video in case the images dont show the difference, pay attention to network adapter icons and the properties window.

I could do this in all other Windows but I can't find it in 10.
View 6 RepliesI have a black taskbar with dark gray fonts....so basically can't see anything at all... not real familiar with changing settings, how do I change this?
View 2 RepliesI just installed Build 9879 over Windows 7 on a spare machine and it went as expected except for the size of the Icon fonts and size of the taskbar. They both are much larger than they were on Win 7. I can't remember how to make them smaller. I make the icons themselves smaller (medium) by using View on the desktop but the fonts and taskbar are way to big. How to reduce them under Win 10?
View 6 RepliesSo I want to make a new font to use on my computer instead of Arial but I can't figure out how to change the default font.
View 1 RepliesI tried the below but the area is grayed out. What can I do? Finally, if you want to make systemwide changes to your font settings, you can do so here by looking to the toolbar on the left side of the Font control panel. For example, to increase or decrease the font size for, say, menus and icons, click Change Font Size. Choose the item you want to change, then select a size. (You also have the option of ticking the Bold box, which is actually kind of a nice tweak for things like title bars.)

View 4 RepliesWhen I change font size from 9 to 12, it is okay until I shut down and restart. It reverts back to default. Is there a fix?
View 1 RepliesAs it says, when using the aerolite theme for colored titlebars, it uses black colored fonts which are hard to read, my question is, how can I change these font colors? and also why the hell isin't this an option in the base windows 10 customization section?!?
View 2 RepliesHow do I change the font type in Windows 10? It will only let me change the size. Used to be in the Personalization settings with the themes, but I can't find anywhere to change the type of font now.
View 14 RepliesIn Win.7 you could modify the font for the windows, both size and font itself. Win 10 will not all me to modify size, which is stuck on 9pt, and there is no option shown to change the font to Times from Arial.
This means I have had to alter the scaling to 125% so that the icons on the taskbar are big enough, and the text on the windows readable. This, in turn, messes up the resolution on Skype and another program. How you can get the ability to change font and font size?
How do I change the font displayed on the on screen keyboard keys?
View 2 RepliesI've just installed Windows 10 and everything is going well so far. Is it possible to change the desktop icon font type at all? I've seen there is a program called Iconoid to change the colour of the text itself but not the font.
View 1 RepliesThe area in the display settings to change font sizes etc is grayed out and I can not find any way to make my various text sizes bold..
View 1 RepliesWhen the computer comes back after being in sleep mode for a while, all the icons and fonts are in much larger size and with very poor definition. If I shut down the computer and start again, everything comes back normal. This issue only started after the upgrade to Windows 10.
View 1 RepliesI got this. How to get white text color?
View 1 RepliesI know I can change the appearances of text and icons in Display settings. But in Win 8, I had the option of only affecting text and icons. Not everything, such as apps.
View 3 Repliesi need to get to the same functionality as i did in Windows 7:
Personalization>Windows color and appearance>Advanced appearance settings, where I can set the font style along with bold and italic. i have searched extensively without success.
This happened after the fall update. It's not a big deal as I can still read it, but it's annoying.
View 4 RepliesIs there anyway to change the default 'Calibri' font that is set on opening Notepad or Wordpad?I would love to open Notepad to find the font set at something I like. 'Verdana' for example, so I can just get straight on.I know I sound lazy, but I use Note or Wordpad a lot, often dozens of times in a day, and I need to use a font I can see. I'm just sick of having to do this adjustment every bloody time!!
View 4 RepliesHow do I change the font size of my desktop icons in Windows 10 ?
In old versions of Windows you could do that thru Control Panel Display Appearance
But i don't see that in Windows 10. How to do it ?
I can easily change the size and font but can't find how to set it as the new Default setting. Can it be done?
Using Mail for Win 10 for first time, as that is what appeared for my Outlook email account. I found today that when using either CC or BCC a 'Return' occurs immediately after entering an email address, thereby moving the cursor to the line below, requiring moving the cursor back to that original line so that another email address can be entered, and again and again.. Never saw this before so probably/hopefully a fix is coming.
While typing an email I touched the Caps Lock key mid-sentence and typed one capital letter in error. I touched that key turning off the caps lock function and the light went off. But from that point on I could only type in CAPS regardless of what I did. I had to close email and restart it to have it return to normal.
I've looked and looked and cannot find a way to change default font and size in the mail app. Is there a way or registry hack or what???
