Yesterday I was prevented from installing Belarc Advisor because of this. No searches of the web from Cortana work.I have run SFC and DISM.

For example, I have just been stopped from installing Belarc Advisor by this. I have not been able to do any web searches from Cortana. What appears is a box stating class not registered and listing OpenWith.exe. I have tried using SFC and DISM, without success.

Now I'm thinking if I make my geregisterd email the same as the one I'm using with the Microsoft account, this will be solved.
Drivers/Hardware :: Realtek Ethernet Not Showing In Adapter Settings
Sep 27, 2015Messed around with the drivers, now the ethernet device doesn't show up in the network adapter settings, although it shows up in the Device Manager. It is also apparently in sleep mode.So after formatting and installing Windows 10 x64 on my Dell Inspiron 3542, I decided to update/re-install the drivers from the official Dell download page. Windows Update had taken care of the hardware but the versions were outdated, so I set to work. After successfully installing almost all the drivers, I ran the Ethernet Controller Driver and after installing it, the ethernet device was disabled. BTW, the device shows up as "Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller".
I enabled it but it still remained disabled. In the Properties dialog box it gave me the option to disable it, which means that it thinks that the device is enabled, which it is not. It is visible in the Device Manager, so it is being recognized. After restarting to come to the same result, I deleted the driver from Device Manager and re-installed it, which didn't work. (I don't remember if I attempted a roll-back, although if I did then it obviously didn't work either.)
Then I went to the Realtek official website and downloaded the Win10 Auto-installation Program. It asked me to remove the previous installation from Dell, and near the end, it gave me the error, "The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled, Please Plug the Cable". And after this, or after deleting and re-installing the Dell driver (I unfortunately don't remember when), the ethernet device disappeared from the adapter settings. Now there's only Wi-fi there.I really want my ethernet back, even though I have wi-fi to connect to the internet. The only solutions I can see are to either get the Dell driver working or to remove the device from sleep mode.
Networking :: Cannot Change DNS Settings
Dec 21, 2015Trying to add a new DNS IP address. Go to the adapter, go to the IPV4 properties and advanced and add the new DNS IP address. Every thing is fine until I close the adaptor window and it pops up an error "an unexpected condition occurred, not all of your requested changes in settings could be made"... Even if I make no changes at all and just open and close it I get this. Need to set the new DNS as first on the list.

I'm trying to change the settings and I can't changed date/time nor can I access the settings( Start>Settings). When I try and change the settings or date/time I get "This app can't open. Your trial period for this app has expired. Visit the Windows Store. Visit the Windows Store to purchase the full app." When I try to open Windows Store, same thing happens. Date/time is now an app?

I have been using this particular application for quite some time and today is the first occasion where I decided to give it a go on Windows 10 too. Mar 26, 2016My default configuration is powered speakers connected via the optical output on the ZXR. So in control panel, the S/PDIF is my default device. I'd like to be able to also switch to headphones without having to change control panel sound settings. Is there a configuration that enables me to do this? It seems as if I can't have the s/pdif output my default if I want to use headphones. I'm on Windows 10 with latest software updates.I switched to using the analog outs from the ZXR and not taking advantage of the D/A converters built into my powered speakers (Vanatoo). Not the optimal situation, but it allows me to switch from speakers to headphones without having to go through Control Panel gyrations.
