My computer has been fine with no issues what so ever but today it crashed and then when it booted back up it would do the windows 10 loading screen and everything else but when it got to the login screen it just goes black,you can still use the Mouse and win+P still shows the side bar on the screen but the rest is black.
View 1 RepliesThis morning my PC hard crashed,. I didn't think anything of it, restarted and got back to work. About an hour later it hard crashed again, eventually BSODing within minutes of logging in. These are just some of the errors:
IRQL null less or equal
System Service Exception
Bad Pool Header
Kmove exception not handled
And a few others. I could never stay on long enough to google these errors so I ran CHKDSK from the advanced boot screen which came back fine. I decided "screw it" and just did a System Restore since my last point was a few days ago. Then it BSOD during the system restore, and it made it so that it would crash after the Windows logo. I decided to use the Reset to reinstall Windows 10 but keep my files, and, you guessed it! BSOD during that. Now it doesn't even ask for my password in the advanced boot screen like it used to. If I try to do the Reset again it gives me an error and says it can't be done.
If I power on, there's a 90% chance it either hard crashes or BSOD at the Windows logo. On the off-chance that it makes it beyond that, it runs a repair tool, but it always fails. I made a Windows 10 USB installer but it just prompts for a serial key which I don't have because I used the automatic upgrade from Windows 8.1 a few weeks ago.
I spent hours searching for answers, and even resorted to making a USB Linux installer just to access my HDD and transfer some important files to an external HDD, but I couldn't grab them all. For some reason some of my folders were inaccessible.
My laptop began moving incredibly slow last night, like the cursor would hardly move and it sounded like it was running extra hard. I turned it off and this morning it won't load past the start up screen. And still, the windows loading icon spins incredibly slow.
Eventually it goes to a black screen for some time, then the automatic repair icon appears, then "diagnosing your pc". It made it past that once and got to the advanced option screen but was moving so slowly that I couldn't click on anything.
My Lenovo PC suddenly shut down today and when I restarted it I got a BSOD with a 'bad pool header' message. I did eventually restart but soon shut down again with a 'k mode exception not handled' message. Now when I restart I get a blue page 'RECOVERY Your computer could not start properly. A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error: 0xc0000225.'
I have a windows 10 system repair disk but when I try and boot from it I get 'non system disk or disk error'.
I recently (2 weeks ago) replaced the hard drive because the old one was showing SMART errors. I cloned the old disk to an identical disk and it seemed to be going fine until today. Not sure quite what to do next.
So I have a Lenovo touchscreen but i don't have the touchscreen part, I was using it but then it crashed, and now it wont accept USB drives, and my keyboard and mouse install into the computer via USB what do i do.
View 1 RepliesI had updated to Windows10 a couple weeks ago. Everything was running smoothly until my most recent NVidia gfx driver update. It seemed to stall at 99% completion and then I lost the sound to my computer.
After numerous attempts to fix my sound I decided to just restore my computer and wipe it clean. Big mistake.
Again upon 99% completion of the restore process my computer crashed and then entered an infinite loop and booting and loading to a screen that would say "innaccessable boot driver".
This seems to be a common problem with windows10 and people who restored or wiped their computer, they all got the same error message I did. Except the fixes that have worked for them aren't working for me.
I have even purchased a fresh copy of windows 8 and a new SSD in attempt to remedy this but to no avail. Even after removing my other SSD's and keeping only the new one in, it now loads to a screen that says "reboot and select proper boot device, or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key".
I have tried messing around in the bios but nothing I do seems to work.

On 28/12/15 switched computer on and it went straight into Windows 10 updating, then came up with box saying "update fail", clicked on that and it then kept bring up different disc failures. Now stuck in blue screen which takes me into auto repair which then comes up with PC did not start correctly and gives different options : restart option throws me back to blue screen, troubleshoot advanced option - system restore won't give me any dates so have to cancel out, system image recovery - can't find any images, start up repair - takes me back round auto repair back to blue screen, command prompt - haven't the foggiest what to do here, go back to previous build - ran into a problem and won't be able to take you back.
View 2 RepliesLast night I was watching a dvd on my desktop when all of a sudden a blue screen came up with a frowning face and said that "Your computer ran into a problem and needs to restart, its collecting info and will restart." It happened quickly so I didn't see what the error was but now my PC is stuck in a loop where it restarts and loads into an empty blue screen. It stays on that blue screen for a minute or so and then restarts again. I tried going into my BIOS or starting in safe mode but my PC won't go into them.

This weekend I had several BSODs while playing games. 2 times the system simply crashed black screen and restarted, 1 time I received a BSOD MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error, and 2 times I received a BSOD IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN error and a restart.
The MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and one black screen crash occurred while playing Forged Alliance Supreme Commander, then the IRQL errors and a black screen crash occurred while playing Steam version of Age of Empires II.

I got this new pc for christmas which came with 8.1, which I hate. So I did the free 10 upgrade but now run into many new problems. Many of my favorite programs are not yet compadible. Discs burned from previous operating systems and usb drives formated for previous OS will not boot. Simply freezes computer when I insert them O.o. Also had some random crashes and I just wanna downgrade to 7 and be done with this so I can finally start using my new pc.
I enter a windows 7 64 bit ISO burned from a friend and again it just freezes the computer on load. So eventually I borrow my friends genuine windows 7 64 bit disc, and now when I try to load it gives the message "cannot install 32 bit version on ECF system" or something like that.Would I have better luck downgrading to 8 and then trying to get 7? Why is 10 recognizing this genuine 64 bit disc as a 32 bit version??
Today when I started up my computer I couldn't load my operating system (Win 10 Pro 64bit). It said my pc was missing a file, or that the file had been damaged. I've bought a new Sata cable for my ssd since I first thought that it was that that was wrong, but nothing happened. I don't have my dvd disk for my windows.
View 1 RepliesI've been running Windows 10 since it was released and nothing really has come up as a problem until last night, I was playing a game on the pc and I got some red dots everywhere, I figured nvidia crashed and thought nothing of it until my entire pc reset now I see a series of white dots on bios loadup and windows loads and just before it gets to the login, my computer resets. When it tries to get into repair mode I don't have any keyboard or mouse input, this is a build I made so I don't have any fancy oem recovery options ( and I was too dumb to make a backup disk).
My build has an nvidia gtx590 , and phenom II black edition, Asus mobo. I haven't d.l or installed any new hardware or software recently.
So I restarted my computer and router because my internet was being slower then usual. After I restarted my computer it took almost 30 secs to show the log in screen, that's the longest it's ever taken. After I log in it takes about 3 mins to load an application. Even when I attempted to open my windows setting it's slow. My computer is a gaming computer with an i7 and a gtx 970 with 16 gigs of dd3 ram.
View 1 RepliesI did a bit of research and this seems to have been an issue for a while, or has been in the past. Was upgrading to windows 10, I first had to restart my pc cause it was initially stuck on that preparing to install problem with the green bar being stuck around 25%.
It then got through that and began the installation process with the big circle and rebooting process. However around 91% when I last looked at it it was just black screen, this stayed this way for about 3-4 hours. I then decided to reboot the pc and it has now booted to the login screen. Is this a known bug or could there be a possible issue?
The problem seems a bit different as some people I saw have had to fall back on PC restore points etc. So not sure if it installed or what could be the problem.
Also side note, I upgraded my pc when windows 10 first publically released, but rolled back because I had about 5min shutdown times.
I am running Windows 10 1511 10836, having upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 back in August 2015. This morning when I turned on my Lenovo B575 laptop, after the first Windows screen with animated circling dots at the bottom, when it refreshed the screen and went to the 2nd Windows screen, I noticed that the animation with the circling dots was slow. After several minutes, the computer was still on this screen. After 15 minutes and no change, I restarted the computer.
Upon 2nd startup I got the same results. On 3rd startup I got the Please Wait screen and then eventually got to the Startup and Repair screen. After diagnosing found nothing, I then went to the System Restore page and found that a Windows Update had installed yesterday afternoon. I restored to the Restore Point created yesterday, and restarted.
(Last Thursday I had to force the upgrade to the 1511 10836 update by downloading the 3.5Gb file because Windows Update kept failing. I have had no problems since then.)
No change. I can get to Safe Mode after 2 failed attempts, but without knowing what to check or look for, this does me little good. Of course can I reset/reinstall Windows 10 but would rather not if I don't have to.
Whenever I load the simulator, I get the splash screen, but it just goes to a black screen, no error messages, etc. just a black screen, if I hit ESC and hit Y, the simulator exits without a problem, I just can't see it.
Changed config from FULL_SCREEN=1 to FULL_SCREEN=0 and it works now, but it's not fullscreen anymore.
Unsure what is happening here, for a few days now, when I load a youtube video, all I get is a black screen, and I do not see the video until I 'nudge' a few keys and throw mouse at screen (not really!)
Whilst this is happening I went up to 200mb last night from 150, so its not my broadband.
The image shows screen after approx 20 secs; the buffering circle only appears after I hit spacebar or enter. Thats does not mean I get the video though, it can appear now, or in another 30 sec or more
After upgrading to Windows 10 on an acer gaming notebook, the screen is blinking when booting and it takes 10 minutes to load windows.

This happened to a friends laptop, just got it now.
I updated to windows 10 around a month ago. Recently, the computer has been crashing after I log in. I've had this problem twice before, and the problem was fixed by going into the settings and updating the computer. This time, however, it is not giving me time to update. Once the computer crashes, i can only move my mouse. On previous occasions, I managed to get a video up and it would freeze, then continue to play the last 10 seconds of audio on repeat.
The computer comes up with a script error. It appears to related to microsoft one drive though, and it doesn't show up if i unplug my router. Anyways, here's the link it comes up with: [URL] ....
If I wait long enough, it comes up with the alert that tells you that a program has crashed. Except this one is tell that microsoft windows has crashed. It then asks me if I want to end the process. I can't actually press either button since nothing works, but I thought I might mention it.
how do i get rid of logging in on Windows 10 when booting up my computer. Every time I reboot I have to log in.
View 4 RepliesI reinstalled windows the day before yesterday and since then every time I turn my laptop on after entering my password the screen turns off for like 2 seconds then turns back on. This have never happened to me before. I tried putting my old windows back via Macrium Reflect and I even tried reinstalling it again but neither of those things worked. I have an Acer Aspire V3-572g laptop.
View 9 RepliesI upgraded from Windows 8 to 10 without a hitch an hour ago and kept all of my personal files and apps. I set up my start menu and everything was working fine, but I wanted to change the image on the logon screen (or whatever you call the screen in between the lock screen and the screen where you enter your PIN/info). So I took a risk and downloaded the 3rd party app here:
[URL] and uploaded an image and hit apply. Of course right after doing that I went to lock my PC to see if it worked, and as you can tell... it didn't.
I've tried rebooting and it hasn't worked. It's just very rapidly flashing between a blue screen w/ a loading circle and my lock screen image.
I recently started getting a black screen when trying to turn on my laptop, a Sony Vaio running Windows 10. I am unable to download the DM log collector tool since I cannot use my computer at all. It stays on the black screen even if I let it sit for hours. It's possible that I backed up a Windows 10 file when originally upgrading from WIN7 but I'm not sure and if so, it would be on an external hard drive.
View 5 RepliesSo yesterday I installed Windows 10 on my computer via Windows update. (First went here Home page - Windows Insider Program and followed the steps) It installed normally, after it was done I got the login screen.
I typed my password and pressed "next" but my computer just froze and restarted and kept doing it.
I re-installed Windows 7 today, will probably try Windows 10 later, but not currently.
Each time I try to log in to a particular networked computer ( #3) from Computer #4 , a windows security essentials pop up and asks for credentials even though I checked on allowing access without passwords in computer #3 . In any case when I typed in the user name and password for computer ( #3) , I keep getting error indicating wrong user or password. However the reverse from computer #3 to #4 is OK . All my networked computers do not require password and I am not using workgroup or homegroup just simply network shares.
