Computer On Constant Loop
Aug 14, 2015
So i needed to factory reset my new desktop for reasons unneeded and overnight my parents switched it off and now its on a constant loop landing on "An operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" and loops again.
I made a USB Drive containing Windows 10 and it'll go to the install screen but when i do try to install it it will tell me to restart my computer and try again. Going to the repair area, trying to reset it, it will tell me both "The drive where Windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again" (when keeping files) and "Unable to reset your PC. A required drive partition is missing" (When removing everything). I have no system restore point since its new either and startup repair finds nothing.

I recently purchased an intel NUC6i5SYH kit PC and fitted it with the following RAM and HDD.
Samsung 500GB 850 EVO M.2 SSD: Amazon.co.uk: Computers Accessories
HyperX Impact 16 GB 2133 MHz DDR4 SODIMM Memory Kit (2 x 8 GB): Amazon.co.uk: Computers Accessories
I installed a copy of windows 8 that I owned and then upgraded it to windows 10. It was working fine for a couple of weeks, and suddenly it had and error and is stuck rebooting itself with a blue screen error.
The error appears to be different every time but the ones I have seen repeated are "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR" and "MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION".
I can get into the BIOS and that's about it. I can't find a way to boot into safe mode and when I try and install a fresh copy of windows 10 via USB created from microsoft i still get a blue screen error after a couple of seconds.

My newly built computer is borderline unusable due to constant hangs - the computer will frequently pause then continue after about 45 seconds, which makes doing any work basically impossible. During the course of writing these few sentences running the log collector, and uploading the logs, it hung 5+ times. The only programs that typically are running are Word and Chrome. BSODs are less frequent, but still an issue.
This is tied to the network card, but maybe there is something else (or multiple things) going on.

I recently built a computer about two weeks ago. Everything had been great up until today. These are the following error messages that occur about 10 seconds after seeing the windows 10 desktop and all the way until the starting of windows.
Bad pool caller
Bad pool header
System service header
Dpc watchdog violation
Kmode exception... (I couldn't get the rest)
I have about 10 seconds of desktop before a error message or a freeze. I've tried safe mode and it locks up, ive tried trying to repair windows from the boot disk and it loads forever or locks up. Maybe the two week old hardrive has failed?

My computer is crashing constantly, and its gotten to a point where its just very hard to use. It sometimes crashes 3 or 4 times a day, with crashes including blue screens, random restarts, complete power offs, and a combination of blue screen and mid blue screen it turns off. I've manually removed software, used malware scanners, cleared data, but nothing so far has worked.
My computer is the CyberPower GUA880, with the single modification of an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti graphics card.
My most common BSOD is CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT

Alright so, i installed windows 10 had it working for about a week my graphics card was away for repair and when i finally got it back i tried installing it only to discover my PCI slot on my mobo was bad. So i ordered a new mobo when i got the new mobo in the mail i installed and powered on my system the usb drivers were working fine. I still popped in the install CD for audio drivers about mid install of the drivers i leave the room and come back to discover windows 10 had reset itself and was installing "updates" at about 55% it completely froze i left it alone for about an hour before I rebooted.
Upon rebooting i discovered none of my usb ports work it appears the driver install got eliminated mid installation. So my pc was just stuck there on the new annoying mandatory log in page Luckily my Mobo had a ps/2 slot so i had to travel all around town to thrift shops and pawn shops to find a ps/2 keyboard, success i got the keyboard and j signed in! Time to pop in the drivers CD and reaccomplish it! Only one thing... Windows says "failed to install update"*instant reboot* by the way my only internet access on this PC is a wireless usb dongle

My windows 7 PC was hard to start and restart and I needed to try 10 times or more before it worked (then I didn't restart it for days).
I managed to upgrade it to Windows 10 hoping that it will cure the problem BUT still it is a problem to start.
I checked everything and used every tool possible on windows 7 and windows 10 but nothing worked. (ccleaner and others failed)
So now I have a windows 10 PC that doesn't want to start easily.
Do you think that the problem can really be a driver ? After upgrade to windows 10 I GUESS that all driver files have been changed ?

I got a brand new HP Windows 10 laptop last week and on the second day of having it I noticed some internet performance issues. Basically this laptop will only connect to the Internet for about 10 minutes before switching to only a "limited" connection. When I try and disconnect from the Internet in the wifi submenu it refuses to disconnect. If I go off of that submenu and try to click into it again the submenu also completely refuses to open? I've tried alternatives such as accessing it through the control panel but this laptop refuses to click ANYTHING to do with the Internet at this point. I've been forced to restart and even completely switch off my laptop after this as its either frozen altogether or just been in useable as I needed the Internet for what I was doing. Like this is a brand new laptop it's not like there's any files on it that are causing slow performance or anything?

I started having issues today while playing World of Warcraft. Occasionally it would freeze and I would get a notification along the lines of "Nvidia display driver has crashed and recovered successfully". It started happening more frequently and sometimes was restarting my PC instead of recovering. I tried to update the Nvidia driver (I did have an update) but no joy, it happened again. I tried logging into WoW and quickly changing settings, however it restarted again, this time even windows refused to recover.
It now attempts to boot about 3-4 times then the troubleshoot options appears saying it failed to load windows. System restore can not find a restore point and Go back to the previous build refuses to work also. I am at a loss to what is causing this? At first I thought it was an issue with overheating but the temp never even went above 80. I tried rolling back the nvidia update in safe mode but that did not work either.
What can I do, without having to reset my pc?

Installed the latest video driver rebooted fine. Checked again for Windows updates. Found 2 critical updates. Installed rebooted, and has not stopped rebooting. The pc never shows anything on screen or gets to a place I can boot from disk. Switched HDs to go back to win7 but still the same. Cannot get anything on screen. Just constant boot.

My son has a new gaming pc since Christmas and we are getting lots of crashes with error messages. Usually BSOD.
I have looked online and it is stating that they are usually driver related.
I have copied the minidump files into dropbox [URL] ....
Specs as follows:
i7
GTX 980 Ti PNY graphics card
original windows key installation
We are having a couple of crashes per day

ive updated and checked up on all of my drivers and in the scan they seem to be fine and completely up to date, and for a day after I didn't have any more problems but the problem recently started up again, and I haven't been able to open up any of my adobe apps and most of my applications without encountering the BSOD. I'm not sure but I believe I'm also having problems with photoshop being unresponsive but I'm unsure if that's possibly related? since it started up after the BSOD problems showed up

I have built a number of PC's and my latest PC crashes at irregular intervals. I have tested the memory and have a new power supply. This was occurring in Windows 7 and is still happening after upgrading to Windows 10.
It happens at irregular times and does seem to be heat based.
Windows 10 gives me a blue screen message about closing down and I have checked the event logs with out success.

I updated to Windows 10 using the direct method (downloading the file from Microsoft's site rather than waiting for the update in my bottom right corner). Since I've updated, my computer has begun to drastically overheat; the simplest things such as unplugging and walking around with it will cause it to stutter and freeze for sometimes up to 5 minutes straight.
The computer model is an HP Pavilion g6.

So up until this morning my Windows 10 desktop has been performing really well. When the machine is idle the CPU use is only in the 1-3% range.
For some reason my idle CPU use is now CONSTANTLY 30-40% (even after a reboot)! Task manager says its "Service Host: Local System (15)". If I expand this process in task manager it lists:
Why is this happening all of a sudden? I have all Windows Updates installed and I run an i7-3770 CPU.
My machine is now slow/sluggish with 30-40% being hogged by these services!
I don't have any Malware installed as I run Malwarebytes Premium and the scan comes back clean. Some goes for a full anti virus scan.

I have a router with At&T Uverse. The documentation on att.com says to disable your desktop firewall because we are behind a N.A.T.S and having more than one firewall will slow you down or conflict. But there is a constant all day reminder that continues to annoy me. I wish I had the option as in windows 7 to "use another firewall" so it would stop but not. Is there a way to stop this?

After upgrading to windows 10, my desktop will flash to a black screen for a few seconds and the desktop seems to refresh itself. Every time this happens it will close out of any files I have open and will even change focus to the desktop for several programs. This happens every 1 to 3 minutes. Have had this problem from day 1 of upgrading to windows 10.
I have looked for solutions to the problem, however, none of the solutions have worked for me. Other users had problems that occurred with the iCloud (which i don't have installed) and reporting services (tried turning these services off and nothing changed).

So when the th2 update first became available i updated and was getting daily BSODs i went through and checked everything some were saying it was most likely memory corruption. I rolled back to see if it would stop blue screening and it did was stable for a few months. I figured Nvidia or most drivers had to be compatible by now and i wanted some of the bug fixes from 1511 so i updated again using an msdn ISO i had access to. Since then daily Blue Screens are reoccurring, I don't know if i buy that my hardware has gone bad as it's 100% stable under base Windows 10.
I can add a link to the .dmp file later tonight when i get home but for now I will include the descriptions of the BSOD.
CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION
Ntkrnlmp.exe
I was remoted in from work and ran an SFC /SCANNOW it found nothing then the PC BSODd again so i can't upload the dmp file till tonight.

Beginning from Saturday while playing with crashes and freezes I might have fixed my driver problems, but upon booting up my PC the next day, I was receiving constant Memory_Management BSOD errors every 20 minutes to 1 hour when trying to play Fallout 4 for example.
When I came back from work today just a hour ago, I also received the same BSOD when I logged in, but later it just worked fine and proceeded to desktop. Weird.
Oh, and here's the rar file I was supposed to upload when reading through posting instructions.

I finally had to set up a dual boot with Ubuntu so that I could browse the net in peace. The constant clicky-clack of my hard drive drove me nuts. Windows lately has not given it a rest. Ubuntu on the other hand hardly ever causes overuse of the hard drive. Windows needs to get a handle on this problem..
