I set monitor to turn off after 15 minutes and computer to sleep after 3 hours, none of that works unless i disconnect game controller, than it works perfectly. is there any way to solve this or i just to wait for microsoft to release some kind of update?

MSI R9 390 GPU
AMD Catalyst version 15.7.1
Main monitor is CrossOver QHD270 via Dual Link DVI
Second display is a Vizio TV via HDMI/DisplayPort
So I was messing around with a 3 display setup for the first time today, one monitor (DVI) and two TVs (one HDMI, one DisplayPort). Everything worked okay, and I could unplug one TV, but when I unplugged the second TV, my monitor went to a black screen. As soon as I plugged the TV back in, the monitor started working again. The main monitor I use every day is now completely dependent on a TV I occasionally use as a second display to be plugged in to function. When I turn on the computer with just the monitor plugged in, I can see the BIOS load up, and the first Windows 10 logo, but as soon as the password screen should be shown, the screen goes black. I tried uninstalling my graphics drivers. When the drivers were completely uninstalled, the monitor functioned normally, but as soon at AMD Catalyst Control Center was reinstalled, it went black until the TV was plugged back in. I've tried plugging the TV up through HDMI and DisplayPort, it makes no difference. Also, my monitor is listed as the main display in both CCC and Windows 10 display settings. Every once in a while when I unplug the TV, the Monitor will get darker and slowly fade to black instead of going straight to black.
Freezing, black screen, no cursor, monitor goes to sleep, computer still running after upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7. Must manually force computer shutdown. HP desktop.

View 9 RepliesI have a laptop with one jack for headphones and microphone. The computer will not register headphones being plugged in. The speakers work fine and continue going when headphones are plugged in.
I have the newest audio driver and I can find no way to get the headphones to work. I don't know if it's the hardware, Windows 1-, the drivers, or something else.
Recently upgraded a friends computer to windows 10 and we're running into an annoying issue while playing a low resolution (800x600?) game. The game boots up fine and everything is great until we pause and come out of sleep mode when the whole image on the screen is compressed to half the screen with inverted colors (this same thing happens when the windows key is hit to go back to the desktop and try to go back to the game). The image isnt frozen, you can hear the sounds and see things lighting up. The actions are working on the whole screen but the image is compressed to the left half of the screen. So it seems to me that there's some software issue involving the graphics card since the computer is having issues switching between resolutions?

In my PC I have a AMD A10-6800K and a HD 6950. My problem is that I want to be able to record game clips with my computer BUT my 6950 doesn't support it, but my 6800K APU does... I was wondering if I could record with the APU but still use the 6950.

View 1 RepliesI upgraded from 8.1 to 10 on the 29th. At that time my system would go to standby sleep without and issue. Since the big day, I can only get it to sleep by using the sleep option on the shut down or sign out drop down.
I have reinstalled my graphics card drivers. I have also reinstalled my network adapter and deselected the option in power management to "allow this device to wake the computer".
I can't remember when and how this started, but definitely after upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Pro.So, my screen (Acer LCD, connected to GTX 560 with 1 meter DVI cable) started going black (power light on, background light completely off) when I watched a video that had lot of dark on it. Happens in some games as well where the cut scenes change.
I tested it by full screening a plain black image and the screen went to sleep, mouse cursor dissapeared.Moving the mouse does not wake up the screen, only when i press Win key to bring up some color to the screen. (the task bar seems to be enough to wake the screen.)I have checked all the power settings and turned off all the sleep settings, 'Turn off display after' is set to 'Never' 'Multimedia settings' are set to ' Prevent idling ' and 'Optimize video quality'
My computer restarts after i start a game. It worked just fine a few hours ago but suddenly my pc just restarts after a start a game, it has restarted on Warthunder and CS:GO and when it restarts I don't get a error message or anything, it just black screens and starts over. And I've checked my components temperatures and they were normal so i really don't know whats the problem.

View 2 RepliesThe computer goes to sleep after a period of inactivity, when mouse or keyboard is used the tower starts up but the monitor won't. I've gone into Device Manager and made sure mouse and keyboard will wake machine, but alas, no monitor. Must reboot every time.
View 3 RepliesI recently updated to windows 10. I play WoW often and lately when I get a skype call with the game on everything freezes then screen goes black. It's recovered once but typically requires me manually shutting the laptop down. It's an HP and came with 8.1. I bought it new and have had it under a year.
Wanted to add that I can usually hear sound for a while after the screen has gone black. I even continued a skype call for about 3 minutes until the sound cut out too.
Since upgrading from Windows 7 x64 to Windows 10, my monitor/display on my desktop will no longer go to sleep/turn off after the scheduled 5 minutes. I had no issues with this in Windows 7. I have updated the BIOS, video drivers, USB wireless mouse driver and anything that could be related and no change. All i want is for the monitor to turn off after the set time. I don't use a screensaver. There is no driver update for the monitor (Viewsonic VX2450). I've also tried uninstalling the monitor driving and reinstalling but no change. Seems like the system also will not sleep when set to sleep.
View 3 RepliesI'm running my audio via HDMI from my graphics card and it plays through the speakers built into my monitor.
When I first did the Win 10 update I had no audio whatsoever, and followed some suggestions on online forums that lead me to disable the Realtek High Definition Audio which I did and upon a reboot- my HDMI audio was working.
But then I had another weird issue. My PC is set to never sleep as I use it as a media server, but my screens turn off automatically after 10 minutes. What im finding is that when I wake up my monitors the audio stops. When I view playback devices I can't do any tests because "the device is already in use by another application"
(note: I have the checkbox for allowing an application to take exclusive control of a device un-checked).
So far there are only 2 ways to restore audio. 1) restart the PC. 2) go into device manager > Sound, video and game controllers > AMD High Definition Audio Device > Disable... wait a few moments > Enable.
I upgraded to Win10 about a month agn Friday my pc was stuck in the Automatic Repair Loop. I tried alt+ctrl+del no result. I reboot and pressed F10 the monitor went to sleep mode. When I pressed the on button on the monitor, the Monitor Status reads as follows:
DVI: No signal
VGA: No signal
Auto Switch Source: on
Default Source: DVI
At a point in time, a msg appeared saying "check video cable" so I used the VGA cable on two different ports no success. I bought a DVI-D cable and used it still the monitor is in sleep mode
I have new Hp Desktop computer with windows 10 home 64 bit. And have not notice this since last night. When shutting down my computer for the night. Computer monitor light stays on is this normal ?
View 2 RepliesDesktop Icons move back to the left (default) side of the screen after customizing. this happens when the the computer is put into sleep mode and is woken up or when the monitor is turned off and turned back on. I upgraded to windows 10 Pro 64bit from windows 7 ultimate 64bit. This problem never happened with windows 7.
-Automatic Sleep mode is turned off - when I manually put computer to sleep mode and wake it up the icons are rearranged
-Automatic turn off monitor has been deactivated - when shut off my monitor but keep my computer on and then turn back on the monitor the icons have rearranged
-I have small icons setting
-Auto align icons has been deactivated
-allow themes to change icons has also been deactivated

View 3 RepliesWhen I first bought this desktop, after the prescribed amount of time of inactivity (it may be something like 15-20 minutes), the computer would go to sleep.As I've used it more, I've added a few different software items here and there. This computer is mainly used for school and leisure work, so there are no "heavy duty" programs on there. Recently, however, I've noticed that the computer will continue to stay on and the fan running (or something is humming) all of the time. Is there a way to check what program may be running that makes the computer think there is activity, when there is none?

Everything work fine except when I want to shutdown or put the machine to sleep by clicking on those options, the machine makes noise like the HD is working. It then just shuts down and reboots again. The only way I can shut it off is by using the button on the computer.
