I've installed Windows 10 on my "new" computer. Everything worked fine.
But my computer won't turn againt. My Monitor says " No Signal Detected "
I upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday, and at first, everything was fine, but when I play league of legends, randomly, my computer just says "input not supported" or "no signal" or sometimes nothing at all, and then shuts down. This never happened before I upgraded to Windows 10. I went back to Windows 8.1, but it still shuts down in the middle of league games. Again, never happened before going to Windows 10. Is it my GPU? or CPU? or PSU?
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair H105 73.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI Z97-G55 SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws Z Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2400 Memory

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card
PSU: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Also, the SSD is my boot drive and has league on it, it has only about 35GB out of 240GB left.
Every time I switch on my PC, after about 5 minutes, I get this annoying notification (see picture) from my OS asking me to turn on the security center service; please, note that, on my PC, I am judge, jury and executioner, meaning I decide what stays on and off, at least I've always been so although now, with Windows 10, this has become somehow more difficult. So, yes, I have turned off the security center service because I don't need it and I don't want it! Furthermore.
Now. I've tried disabling every possible notification I could find under the notification menu and the security center one; I've Googled for a solution but I haven't found anything: apparently, everybody loves this service.
While I'm here, is it possible to obtain system privileges in Windows 10? I've tried the old trick with the cmd task but it doesn't work anymore: the cmd windows does open and with "system" as well but it's not interactive apparently.
saw other post about Crashing without BSOD, and i followede some of the steps other people had to no luck. screen turns black, says no signal(one says no VGA and other say no HDMI), sounds cuts off, PC is still on, Lights in mouse and keyboard have to shut down the pc manual no BSOD.

windows 10 shuts down but computer will not turn off. Also, windows sucks up lots of memory when playing my FSX game. It stutters.
View 6 RepliesI wanted to disable login password to I ran netplwiz and unchecked that requirement. It worked, but now when I turn on my computer, it says my password or username is incorrect. I click ok and it gives me two "users" on the lower left hand corner. I choose the correct one and enter my password and windows starts. But I have only one user administrator! I'm usi
View 1 RepliesI recently upgraded my SENS 900X Samsung laptop from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10. I did the easy upgrade, not a clean install. I did reformat my computer while it was in Windows 7, updated it, then upgraded to Windows 10.
When I turn on or restart my computer, I get a message which says:
I found : Link: Fast Startup - Turn On or Off in Windows 10
However, after performing step 3, I get this message: "Your power plan information isn't available. Access is denied."
I can't turn on Windows Defender. When I try to launch it, a window saying "This app has been turned off and is not monitoring your computer" pops up. I tried everything that's listed on the MS answers thread. I am unable to start the Windows Security Centre service too. It doesn't stay enabled i.e., it becomes disabled as soon as I close the Services app. I have no anti-virus installed. Been using WD since I upgraded.
View 1 RepliesFhe topmost process keeps my fan running at full speed. when I end task this "runtime broker" everything goes back to normal. it keeps coming back everytime I turn on my computer from hibernate. what this is?
View 7 Repliessince I upgraded the computer to Windows 10, when I want to turn off my PC, the screen turn off, but the light on the power button stays on. the computer turns off completely.
while if I want to put my computer on standby, the computer will not turn on more, I am forced to turn off the computer by holding the power button press.
The "shutting down" message is continually on screen so I'm unable to do anything. Turning the power off and on just returns me to the same shutting down message.
View 1 RepliesI started my windows 10 update around 10:00 last night. For awhile it seemed stuck in suspend mode (black screen, monitor light orange, computer light still on etc) and I was worried but eventually I got the update screen and it went from 30% to 56% in around 30 minutes or so.The bottom screen said my computer would turn off and on again multiple times. But then later it went back to the "suspend mode" again right before I fell asleep and now 9 hours later it's still stuck like this!! No update screen no nothing. Just sitting is a suspend mode (I think!) And not allowing me to do anything.
View 3 RepliesJust installed Win10 on a Win7 machine. Started it up and walked away.
Came back 3hrs later and all that was on the screen was this message:
Cannot Display this Video Mode. Optimum Resolution 1280 x 1024 60Hz
I can restart the machine and the normal Dell start up stuff happens. The Win10 logo comes up and then the screen goes black with the above message. No cursor. No nothing.
I cant even get the monitor settings to function once the black screen appears.
I can get into the monitor settings during boot up but cant make any changes before the black screen comes up.
New to the forum, bit not to tek toys.
I have recently set my PC from 8.1 to the free 10 upgrade offer.
Everything's fine, 'Except' down in the bottom right hand corner a message keeps coming up.... "Activate Windows. Go to settings to activate Windows."
I have gone to settings now, 5 times, & through the whole upgrade procedure 5 times too, including several system restores. Each time I get an on-screen message telling me everything's done, 10 is now fired up & running etc. The 'Activate' message disappears, everything's fine for a week or 2, then I switch the PC on & the message has come back again.
How can I remove the login screen? Is there a workaround or do I need to sign off completely from MS account? It would be perfect if I could somehow just remove it from startup. Ill explain you what I mean, when I turn on the PC I want it to boot up without me entering a PIN otherwise the programs on background wont start. But when the PC is already running and I am away from it I would prefer if the PIN function is working. But if its not possible I want it to disable completely.
My PC is set to turn on by itself at 9:00 AM so some important programs can boot up while I am not at home but they wont cause there's noone to enter the PIN right?
Any fix to get the screensaver to work or the very least to get the screen to turn off. I have the screen saver set to 4 minutes of inactivity and The screen to turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
View 2 RepliesI have a PC with the following configuration:
Intel Core I5-4460 Haswell 3.2GHz
GIGABYTE GA-Z97-D3HKingston
HyperX Fury Blu 1x8GB DDR3 1866MHz CL10 1.5V
Kingston SSDNow V300 240GB + SAMSUNG Spinpoint F1 HD753LJ 750GB
SeaSonic S12II Bronze 620W
Cooler Master Haf 912 Compact
I always used to set the turn off display after 2 or 3 minutes, everything was working fine with my old PC but after the new PC whenever the screen is turned off i can't turn it on again buy using the mouse or keyboard.
This problem was while using windows 8.1 and after installing windows 10 pro the problem is still there.
Tried turn off hibernate solution but with no luck.
Connection with monitor is throw HDMI cable with the internal Intel 4600 VGA Card
I have a Microsoft account set up with a pin. Every time I boot my computer up, I am greeted with the login screen and my photo, with the message below it, "We are unable to connect right now. Please check your network and try again later." And it's asking for my password, not my pin. For some reason, I see my username twice on the lower left corner. One is the password log-in, the other is the pin. I can successfully log in with either. I just want to know, what is with the error message? I've got a connection, so I can't figure out why.
View 6 RepliesI just built a new computer and have been randomly getting this error message from time to time...and sometimes have trouble even getting the computer back to the Desktop without hitting the blue screen again....if I'm on the desktop and it happens it usually says (atikmdag.sys) at the end...sounds like a graphics card issue, however I have the latest drivers for the card (non beta)...when attempting a restart to fix and it hits blue screen right after that bit at the end is not there...here are comp. specs
Motherboard - MSI 760GMA-P34 (FX)
CPU - AMD 8320E
GPU - ASUS R7 360
RAM - Avexir Blitz 1.1 - 16gb 1866mhz (dual channel)
HDD - WD 1tb blue
Power - Corsair CX600M
OS - Windows 10 Home
I have some possible theories: The RAM may be causing issues...Avexir does not use the more common Samsung chips I don't think and has (Intel optimized) all over the packaging...I will try swapping G-Skill RAM from another comp soon to test this
Also I didn't realize at the time but the motherboard has no drivers from MSI past windows 7...could that be causing issues?...
And of course there's that ending on some of the blue screens indicating a graphics car issue...could the latest drivers for Windows 10 on a GPU be creating issues on a board with no Windows 10 drivers?
I have uninstalled KB3035583 which has removed the windows 10 script from my taskbar, however I am still getting a message that there is an important update when I boot up to the initial Windows 8.1 screen before my login. On checking what important updates are available, it is only the Windows 10, KB3035583 that it is obviously trying to get me to update again.
After 2 weeks of failure on updating to Windows 10, I have decided to stay with 8.1. I now want to remove the advice to install importantant updates, that pertain to Windows 10, but still showing those for my Windows 8.1 system. At this point, when getting this message, I don't know if it is still just for Windows 10, or if new updates are available for my 8.1?
Just upgraded (via Windows Update) from Win 7 Pro to Windows 10.Upgrade generally went smoothly, but....My PC now shuts down very slowly and oddly. The screen and keyboard turn off normally, in a few seconds, but the system box (fans, etc.) remain on for about 2-3 minutes longer. What the system is doing while this is going on!
View 9 RepliesIs there a way to prevent the screen from turning off when the computer is locked? She likes her lock screen images but the screen turns off after 30 seconds or so when locked. (I tried telling her to use desktop wallpaper, but she likes the lock screen better.)
View 1 RepliesWhen I change the power management to never turn the screen off on my desktop the setting is back to 15 minutes when the Pc is restarted. On my laptop I don't have this problem and I can't find a setting in the BIOS which can be the cause?
I use build 10586.11 64 bit.
when I turn the desktop on, of late I am stuck with the initial screen and nothing I do will get me through to the login so I have to keep having to turn off and restart, eventually I can get through, why?
View 4 RepliesI recently downloaded windows 10 onto my ACER laptop, however when I turn my laptop on and sign in, my screen keeps turning on and off over and over again, I've tried turning it off and restarting it. I'm not sure what's going on.
View 1 RepliesI recently updated my DELL L502X to Windows 10 from Windows 7. All drivers have been installed and Device Manager shows no problem. However I'm seeing a weird issue. I'm using an external monitor (ASUS) through HDMI. I'm setting the display to show on external monitor only. In Windows 7, everything works fine. After the Windows boot logo disappears, laptop screen turns off and external monitor turns on. In Windows 10, however, there is an issue.
After boot logo disappears, external monitor turns on, and laptop screen turns off - but not completely. There is no content anymore but the back light is still on. If I switch the display mode to Duplicate or Extend (just to turn on the laptop screen) and switch back to Second Monitor Only, the laptop screen can turn off completely.
Both monitors are shown as Generic PnP Monitors in Device Manager. I don't know if this is a driver problem or something related to my laptop. The bottom line is in Windows 7 there is no such a problem.
