View 4 RepliesWhen trying to copy and paste a file from File Explorer (or Desktop), my "Paste" operations remains disabled. As if the copy operation never actually copied the file. I also noticed that when I select "Cut" (file/icon becomes somewhat transparent), then moment I right click on the location where I would like to paste, the file/icon that the transparency stops, and once again the "Paste" function is not available.
The same goes for Ctrl+X/Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. This also does not work.
When I boot into safe mode the operation works however, and intermittently in "normal" mode the operation does work. It seems as if some service/driver/thing stops the functionality.
where is my cut/copy/paste functions

View 4 RepliesStrangely, I have a lot of problems copying and pasting in Win10.
Many times it just doesn't work, but it usually works the second time I try.
This is the same if I use my mouse, the keyboard, Right click - or use it for Word, Email, or Edge browser
I haven't had this problem for 20 years, but on one PC this always happens.
Everything else works OK on the PC except the History doesn't work in Edge browser.
I can copy but cannot paste in Windows 10?
View 1 RepliesI have downloaded Revouninstaller pro. It will only accept serial nummber by copy and paste but does not offer this facility??
View 2 RepliesNever had a problem before in copying and pasting files, from one External Hdd to another External Hdd.
All of a sudden windows 10 will not let me copy and paste multiple files, will only let me copy and paste single files only. I have used copy and paste, Ctrl C and Ctrl V, used copy to folder and paste to folder.
On the windows 7 calculator, there is copy and paste feature. I don't find it on the new windows 10 calculator
View 1 RepliesI am finding it impossible to copy and paste from Photos. Am I overlooking something? I want to watermark my images, and am unable to, without emailing them to me, downloading them, then uploading them to my watermark program...too many steps!

View 17 RepliesI have the BIOS setting to auto power on every day at a designated time. It has worked with a dual boot Win 7/8.1 system. However, since upgrading the Win 8.1 to Win 10 (dual boot Win 7/10) it no longer powers on at the designated time. Its still set up correctly in the BIOS.
This is apparently not the "fast boot" option that was in Win 8.1 as I can access the BIOS on power on (couldn't with the Win 8 fast boot).
I had hoped Windows 10 corrected the "rename user account" function but nope. I renamed a User Account due to conflict on the LAN [same name, same spelling] and sure enough, now I have two names for the account, one a slightly hidden original name, and permissions issues. To rid it, I will create an all new Administrator account, move everything over, and demolish the old. How to do? the docs/files are easy... the settings for apps etc are not as I recall
View 1 RepliesI recently upgraded to Windows 10. I soon discovered that my Function key did not work for the majority of keys.I have a Samsung Series 7 Chronos. It does not work with brightness, backlight, wifi on/off, fan... etc.The key does work with volume so I know that the key itself isn't the issue.

View 1 RepliesI have 8 NAS drives on my network that is attached to my computer. Prior to upgrade to Windows 10 - from Windows 7 , I could go to file explorer and then search all the NAS drives for the info that I needed.
In Windows 10, I can see on the NAS drives under This PC but when I try to do a search, File Explorer will say working on it and it will never complete - it stops responding. Windows 10 is the latest version(november 2015).
Since this morning Windows 10 "Auto-Hide the taskbar" function is not working despite proper settings.
Fix: Taskbar Auto-Hide Feature Not Working On Windows 10
"Try restarting File Explorer or Windows Explorer" option worked for me....
Since the 19th when my computer installed the following updates
Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3135173)
Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Update 4 Redistributable Package (KB3119142)
Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3135782)
it will no longer fully shut down. Having encountered this issue when I first upgraded to 10 I went to turn off hybrid sleep, and the option is currently disabled on the device. However, the only way to fully shut it down is to hold the power button till it shuts off.
Is there any way to fix this? I'd rather not have to unplug everything every time I shut it off just so the lights won't keep me awake.
i upgraded windows 8 to windows 10.now the mouse cursor and keyboard function keys is not working
View 3 RepliesAt some point in the last couple of weeks the Send To/Mail Recipient function has stopped working. When I select a file and do the send to, Windows starts thinking, the explorer window that I have selected this from stops taking input and then eventually, with no error messages, the explorer window closes and desktop explorer resets.
My Default mail client is Outlook 2013 (15.0.4745.1000)
I used cut to move a file and then did not do paste---but then the file disappeared and could not do paste--Did I loose it?
View 4 RepliesI have a work system, and the issue as in existence on 7 prior to my upgrade today, but I wanted to bounce this off the community.
Ok, I cannot paste files. If I have a folder open on the desktop and want to right click and do it, or by KB, I just don't get paste or paste shortcut.
I believed that possibly in the upgrade to 10 on the machine this might get taken care of, but alas not.
I can copy text between apps with no issues.
Looking to see what steps I can take, while it was on 7, I did an SFC /scannow and nothing was amiss...
Malwarebytes and avast scans were fine.
How do I cut and paste from the new Edge Browser?
View 4 RepliesI noticed that I cannot paste text into youtube comments on firefox. It still works just fine on Chrome. I tried to use an addon to copy plain text only, but that didn't work, nor have I ever needed it before.
What I mean is: When I press "paste" either by right clicking or CTRL+V, nothing happens. I can otherwise paste just fine to anywhere else, just not into youtube comments...
I re-installed windows a while back and when I ran into this problem again, I decided to find a better fix.
Don't touch the firefox about:config page. This way any other functionality dom.event.clipboardevents provides doesn't break.
My heatsink was very Dusty. So today I removed it, cleaned it and reapplied thermal paste after cleaning the top of processor. I did pull the leaver to clean but I didn't remove processor.
I accidentally broke one of the lock pin while placing the heatsink. But still other pins are holding it perfectly. I also plugged the fan connector currently.
After doing all this my pc is not booting I can hear the fans running and there is the green light, but there is no orange light which used to blink before. Is there any power supply problem and if there is then how to solve it?
